Jersey and Amanda jam Nation. She's one of the breakout
stars of the award winning show Orange Is a New Black,
and now Yale Stone is taking on a very different role.
This show looks incredible. A new six part drama series
called One Night, a gripping story of three women whose
bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of

One Night twenty years ago. It sounds so juicy. Yale
is here with us now, Hollage.

Years well, and the story is just so great because
this one revolves around because there's been a few stories
about Australians, small Australian towns and this long past mystery.
But one of the characters played by col de Silva,
she's an author and she finally gets up with this book.
But it's supposed to be fictitional.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
But it's not, but not at all. Turns out she's
not quite as creative as she's made out. Yeah, she's
written about their lives and she hasn't necessarily got permission
to do it. And I guess the really thing element
about that is they all remember things differently as we do,
you know, memory shifts, especially over this twenty year period

that she's looking back on and they're furious. The other
two friends are furious.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
And also even though, as she said, well this is
my story as well, but others are saying, well, you
share the story, you didn't have permission to the story.
Who has permission to tell the story? Interesting?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
It's such a fascinating idea and one that I think
our creator, Emily Blue has teased out so beautifully. You
kind of watch it and everyone feels like, oh, I've
been there, you know, at that Christmas lunch where you
know like, no, that wasn't that wasn't you.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
That was me? Yes, so juicy. This series has already
been named the show of the Year by critics, and
looking at the trailer, I just can't get over how
amazing it looks it. I know it looks dark and intriguing,
but was it fun to film? Because there's three amazing women,
three of my face as you obviously, Nicole a Silver,

Jody Whittaker, who of course is the first female doctor
who she's been in broad Church at all these incredible productions,
Black Mirror. How was it hanging out with those two women?
Did you love yourself sick?
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I fully loved myself sick, and I loved them fully
sick too. Such such good women. We are, by coincidence,
all mothers. I had a very young baby on set.
I felt like I had the greatest mother support group
a girl could ever wish for. We were just all
in all having fun and while the material is kind
(02:36):
of challenging and can be a little dark, we laughed
so much right up until action, and then as soon
as cut haven't we laughed again. We loved each other,
we supported each other. It's kind of one of those
environments that produces your best work because you feel safe,
you feel supported.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Jody is an English actress, but her Australian accent. Have
a listened to this, You should have listened to the
gossip Byles here. It's toxic. It's one of the hardest
things to nail.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
How she managed that look, she was really paranoid about it,
And I understand. I've done a few accents over the years, and.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
You're can you just drop into some Brooklyn right.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
No, I'm very expensive if I do afford.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
We were talking to Rose Burn about the American accent
and she was saying the voice coach says around the rocks,
the ragged rascal ran, Oh, that's good as a voice
thing because when you say those words, but with Brooklyn,
I'm walking here.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
That's a great way.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
And look, it's been a long time, like we shot
we shot Oranges in New Black ten years ago, so
it's Laurna is like a friend that I knew for
seven years. And when I had to say goodbye, it
was actually quite strange.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Filling out with yourself. Yeah, a little, a little. I
used to.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
I used to live around the court from the studio
where we shot the show in Queens, and I need
the walk home to get Laura out of my mouth.
Otherwise I would come home and she would still be
there and I would have to actively sort of extricate
myself from the character, which doesn't happen for me all
the time. But Lorna is quite sticky.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Because actors, I'm not saying you're weirdos. Did I say
this because I acted as well. I don't know, have
you heard of fat pizza? But have you fat pizza
versus houses?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
And I just played yourself.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I don't know. I was the premiere of this fair state,
a corrupt one at that, and I had to say infrastructure,
and there you go. I've just broken into characters.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Oh, my gosh, it's like the premiere was right here, but.

You're about.

I can't wait to see this. You can start streaming
