Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda Gama what I said, you know, perhaps we
should bring some new things to the show.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Yeah, well, I thought, you know what, We've got TikTok
Tucker on a Thursday. But TikTok also throws up a
lot of other things, And lately I've been seeing a
lot of craft things.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
You didn't want to do a dance, No, you don't
want to put glue in your hair?
Speaker 2 (00:19):
No, But I am going to be using some well
not really glue today, but I've got some craft things.
I'm left handed. I've never been good at craft. But
when I saw what happened on TikTok, what we're going
to make today, I thought, I'm intrigued? Is it going
to work? So I've made an intro for this segment
and everything goes kid play. It's time for kell Us
(00:41):
Crazy Craft. Colin tell us crazy Craft corner. All starting
with a k' kkk that's unfortunate.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Make the hood this.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
How about Keller's Christmas Craft Corner? So it's four K
then it's kkkk okay, Okay, So what I'm going to make?
I saw this, I thought, can this be for real?
It is a Christmas bauble that you start with foil, petroleum, jelly,
blah blah blah, and you end up with a shiny
(01:14):
Christmas bauble. It's a bit messy. So I've got to you.
Are they left and right gloves? Or these are good?
They're not too tight? I'll put my medical anyone need
their prostate examined?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Actually I do ryan do that.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
So I first of all, I have to scrunch up
a whole lot of soil and make a ball. And
that goes inside another one to make another foil ball. Yep,
that goes inside another one. I keep going until it's
the size of a Christmas bauble. A bit more, I think,
what do you think? Okay, so we're getting close. Maybe
(01:50):
one more yep, I've got let's just keep going.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Can you show me how it will turn out? So?
Are you making this?
Speaker 2 (01:56):
What I'm doing? So I'm making this. All this stuff happens,
and it's a what's supposed to look like is a big, shiny,
smooth colored Christmas bable. Right, So here it is. Look
what I've done. I've done a big ball of alpha.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
It looks like a potato. It does without a potato.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
What I now do? So layer sheets of volume and
blah blah blahu apoxy me with the size of tennis ball,
cover generously with a big layer of petroleum jelly. I
got this out of your desk, Brendan. Some of it's gone.
So I saw how they did this. They smear it
really thickly.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
This is all.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Smeared in petroleum. Just lot of hair in these gloves
are too big, driving miss Daisy crazy? All right? So
what happens with smear the ball in petroleum jelly? Can
you see that what I've done there? One more smear?
Should you can get reimbursed for what we've used, Brendan
from yours? So what happens now? This all seems so weird,
(02:56):
you think, how can this become a Christmas bable? We
put several dots of food coloring over the top layer
of this. So I've just swapped my gloves out. Sorry,
just take those gloves off and put on some other ones.
Sorry about this if it's taking too long, but Kraft
takes time.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, that's okay, okay, good, So put the the real
need listeners.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
I've got my fingers off one I can still give
you the middle finger quite happily. From here. I've done
it again. I'm going without the gloves. What can possibly
go wrong without with food dye? So I sprinkle drops.
There's red on the outside. This is how I've seen
them do it. Then I drop bits of green. It's amazing.
(03:38):
Oh sure that's burreted everywhere. And let's put some of
this color. What's this one blue? That should do us?
What do you think? So I smear that all over
the top, or drops of it all over the petroleum jelly.
So what I now do is I get a paper towel. Yep,
(03:59):
if you need to move on and we can come back,
because it's going to take a minute.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
You're gonna wrap this in paper tap.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I wrap this in and then I put a whole
lot of sticky tape around.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Okay, well, let's do you know that's I could watch
this all day and you will. We've got a lot
going on. We're trying to work on shore and phrases newsday.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
A craft show.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
I've just got a lot of stuff. Okay, do you
keep doing that, sweet pea, you're busy yourself with that.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Don't make me sound like I'm in the childed workshop.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I don't need to make you sound like that. You're
doing a good enough job.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Of that back because I'm going to put some sticky
tape on it.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
I'm riveted.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I am making a Christmas ball ball. I put a
picture of what it's supposed to look like in front
of you. Brandon, have a.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Look that is extraordinary.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
It's like a glass colored.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Ryan, look at that mean oil. And then so when.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
You've done is I've put layers of what you do.
If you get and glove, you get layers of I've
never been good at craft. You get layers of why
wouldn't you bring it to this, layers of foil, munched
them up into a ball about the size of a
tennis ball. Then you cover it with petroleum jelly, which
(05:09):
I got from your top drawer. Then what you do
is you put you're really taken that joke on you
while I'm working with the tape I put over your mouth.
Then you put bits of colored food dye on top
of that, and you cover that in a paper towel,
and then you wrap it tightly as I am doing now,
(05:29):
in sticky cape, and then you and you put it aside.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
How long.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Those gloves are driving me crazy because there's food die involved. Okay,
that's why I couldn't get a craft showers. I get angry.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Imagine you're on place.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I imagine, imagine little.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Kids be trauma.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Couldn't they just making a rocket ship? And then she's swearing.
So this is complete.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
What happens now is we put this aside for a
couple of hours.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
When you say it literally two hours.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Literally two hour. Let's we'll say, all right, it's five
to eight, no, no, that's five to nine.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
No.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Sometime it's towards the end of the show. What we
will be doing is cutting this open. And apparently I
don't know how, but.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I find an extraordinary it's a shiny Christmas bable just
out of foil. You did some sciencey stuff on beyond
two thousand? Is the food? Die? Does that react to
the vasoline?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I even be stunned to find out. I don't know.
But same with a TikTok tuckers. You think, how does
that work? Sometimes it does. I thought, on Thursdays we
have TikTok tucker But I've been seeing on TikTok a
whole lot of do it yourself Christmasy kind of things,
and I thought, why don't we have a craft corner?
I saw them make a shiny glassy Christmas ballble and
(06:50):
we've done that. We started this earlier this morning. You
get ol foil, scrunch it up into the shape of
a ball. Then you cover that thickly with vacilline. Then
you put some colored dye on that. You put paper
around that, a paper towel, and then you put sticky
tape all over it. I've done that and it's that
about an hour and a half.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
And the ball that comes out looks exactly.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Like a Christian Christmas bable.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
That is extraordinary.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
It's time to open it up and see if this works.
You ready?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
You got some scissors there?
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Okay, well look I'm cutting through.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I can't watch your cut stuff. You don't want to
use any of the other knives.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
I have got two three other knives and a Stanley
knife in case.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
You've got more knives on you than ane on the
train network.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Everyone shuddered when I gowhere this weekend. Here we go.
Don't laugh at it right now. This is it's all
manky because it's got vasciline all over it. I'm going
to use the Stanley knife cutting towards me with the
(07:57):
Stanley knife. What did mums say? Don't do it?
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Okay, right now, just bearing mind we're on air.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Brendan craft takes its time. Do you want me to
use the downding enof and make everything a bit faster? Okay,
here we go. Here, our foil is coming off. I
should have usedissors because the petroleum is still I should
be able to unwrap this foil. Actually, maybe that hang
on showing to be the ball.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
No, that's not the ball. That just looks out foil.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Oh, well that's supposed to be the ball.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
That is what a waste, What a waste.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I've been duped by TikTok. Oh, look at that. That's
supposed to be a shiny Christmas ball.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
That's the least.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
The Grinch wouldn't even have this. It's just greasy our foil.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
You've been dacked.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I've been dacked by TikTok.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
You have been tacked by What a waste of time?
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Waste.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Let's play Let's play it one more time, because it's
the last time you're hearing more the crowd, and that
was that.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
I'm still on lookout for other Christmas decorations that I
can make through TikTok. That one hasn't worked.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
You know, I'd rather watch you put glue in your hair.
