Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda Jamna down to the jonesy De matter of
arms for the pub test, and today we're talking about
eating octopus. Does it pass the pub test?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Scientists in an article I've just read this morning are
saying that the sea creature is this would be as
cruel as eating a dog because it has five hundred
million neurons comparable to dogs. It displays remarkable problem solving abilities.
It uses tools, so signs of sentience. It has moods
that can show boredom. Imagine one in the school the sea,
you know, the fisher in this school. You get where

(00:31):
I'm going.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
With that joke.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Are you up the back that board? Octopus get out?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, I'm smarter than all you people.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah wow.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
So they are different to every other creature. They have
unique biological traits, three hearts, blue blooding, extraordinary intelligence. So yes,
they are delicious. There's something creepy about them, but I
respect them, but I'm not going to eat them, probably
because I don't like the taste more than anything. But
how do you feel eating octopus does a past the

(00:58):
pub test?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Because they taste so tasty? Barbecued wearing a little bit
of sweet chili sauce, eating them. It is fine. You
can cook them in so many different ways. A goat
is a smart animal. Sheep pretty intelligent cows, you know,
so why not octopus. I understand that they're intelligent, but
you know, if it tastes good, you got to eat it.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
It certainly does past the pub test. There's nothing more
nice than a nice grilled piece of octopus on the
barbecue with a hint of lemons, actually, all seafood in general.
It's absolutely beautiful. So yes, it's pass the pub test.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
No, no, they're beautiful crunches. I'd love a heartful octopus hug.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
An octopus wrapped its tentacles around my friend's leg and
she thought it was like a blessing from the sea.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Maybe one.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Oh, yeah, you're a octopus at a Christmas party everywhere,
But that's another.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Star rather three hearts you had none.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Thank you for all your calls.
