Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Jones demotter of arms for the pub Test today. Active
wear at.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Work, it seems that it's now made its way into
the office. It moved out of the gym and into
people's social lives. People doing their shopping, people doing kids,
pick up all that kind of stuff. People women wearing active.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
W where's the new track?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Really?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Well, I think it's more dressy than a track, your deck,
and it's more tight fitting than a track. And people
are now wearing it to work, and some people are
wearing it with blazers and dressing it up, but it's
still leisure. Were active?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Why?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I noticed another subset of active where there's active wear
and then there's active active wear. So when someone's doing
active active wear work, it's more revealing. Do you know
what I mean? Those women that you see walking along
with the flat pelvis, you know they walk along with
their pelvis.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
At is that a thing now, Pender?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I think you mean you don't say it's just flat.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Yeah, that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yea. They don't wear that to work. They wear their
active wear, and they say the active active wear for
when they're out well looking about.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
But have you seen the ones that are like salmon color.
Looks like you've got it, looks like it's just your skin. Yeah,
it looks like people wearing no pants so tight, so
tight fitting you can see everything and the strunchy bum pants. Well,
how do you feel? Active where at work? Does it
pass the pub test?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Oh? I'm a big note for active where at work?
I just don't think it's a professional enough look. And
I'm actually an outdoor worker and I work with a
lot of men, and believe me, I don't want to
be seeing men in any sort of active war while
I'm at work. Active wear is for the playground and
for the gym. In an office area, you should be
wearing professional clothing.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
So therefore i'm again active.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Were in the office, No, it's.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Too revealing for workplace. I'm sorry, Like you've in the
material some on some of them keep it in a gym.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
So active were in the office? Well, I think sometimes
we need to get with the times. And if they're
down a dressed and looks smart, then so bad as
look smart and it looks pretty good, I'll agree with it.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Is that someone's mum right there. As long as you
look smart, Jeffrey.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
See, this is for people who don't have fewdenders because
those tight licra pants don't suit everyone. I'm taking myself
out of the conversation.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
That's why you don't wear the juicy pants.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I remember that time I wore them backwards

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
