Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation of.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Arms for the pub test. Dad's buying mum's Mother's Day
presence to pass the pub test. You're asking this, not
as if dad buys the presence on behalf of the
kids in your household. Does dad buy Mum a present?
For example, Harley can't go shopping these days, so even
though the money all comes from one bucket, I bought
his credit card with me so I can go shopping

(00:26):
and buy myself a present that Harley then will give
me on Mother's Day. So the kids will buy their
own things to give me. But I thought, you know what,
I'll buy something for Harley to give me, because Harley's
always bought me a present on Mother's Day. Have you
bought Helen a present?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Yeah, yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It just keeps the peace. Well that's a beautiful sentiment.
Is that what the card says? I hope this keeps
the peace Mother's Day?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
My whole life from when I was born.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
It's just about keeping the peace, that's all.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I remember going once to a movie preview with you
when our kids were little, and it was Mother's Day,
and Helen was outraged because she bought her a hose reel.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
One of those retractable hose reels. I was watching around
in the garden.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Keep the peace bread. Well, I was watching her hosing
in the garden. She's struggling, and she likes guarding and
she likes hosing the garden, and she's struggling.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
And went, you know what, I'm going to get one
of those get out of town.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Retractable, lovely and a cost of fortune. The thing's broken anyway,
it's useless.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
And and then what did she say to you on
Mother's Dawe.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Said, I haven't had a Mother's Day. I mean, that's
a nice thing for you to have bought her, but
that's not a Mother's Day present anyway. How does it
work in your house? We're putting this to the pub test.
Dad buying mom a present on Mother's Day? Does that
past the pub test?

Speaker 5 (01:37):
Well, I get a present off my husband and I
buy him a farm and Day present. But I don't
expect it. But your producer said I should get one,
and maybe she'd try.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
I think that our father should buy mother's kids. It
gives the kids that put sign to respect their mothers
for all they do and everything they do. I'm a
huge dad. I never had a kid three months ago
and I've already bought her kids. She's not my mother,
but she's my the mother of my child. So I

(02:09):
think it's a respectful thing and it's a lovely thing
for all they did.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Absolutely, moms should continue getting presents, and they should always
get them from their husbands, especially Mother's Day though, you know,
I think when you get married a lot of women
take on the role as mother for their husband. Anyway,
they'd start making their lunches and you know, doing their laundry,
all the jobs their moms did. Anyway, I think.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
That dad should find mum's mother's say gifts, because it's
like saying to them, thank you for being i'll such
a gay mom to our kids and for looking after
their family. Oh God, get that kids.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Some flowers.
