Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation down to the Jonesy demand of
arms for the pub test. Today, Queensland considers allowing dingoes
to be kept as pets.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Well, they're saying that lots of dingos have been need rescuing,
they've been abandoned, they've been caught in traps, et cetera,
and with training they can be good family pets. They
wanted to classify them so they can be raised as
domestic dogs. The problem with this is that if you
cross breed a dingo, you start to lose the purity
of the dingo race. And we actually need dingos. They

(00:31):
help our biodiversity. They keep the cats and the foxes
and all that, the rabbits, they keep those populations down.
They are very useful as they are, and if you
start to cross breed, you lose the purity of the dingo.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
It does say here to keep them away from children.
I think we'll do it because they have a bad reputation.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
The kids they do. So how do you feel dingos
as pets? Do they pass the pub test?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I don't think it passed the pub test. Dingo's wild animal. Look,
all dogs are ninety nine percent wolf, but a dingo
should stay in the world where they belong. You know,
they're beautiful dogs. Leave him in the bush.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
No, if you own a farm and you've had dingers
in your feet, they moll them. They don't kill them.
They just pull the us out of them and leave
several of theirs to die. They're horrible things. They're awful dogs.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
I don't think they're very sociable. And I didn't know
that Joe Exonic was the Coueensland Premier.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, but I want a Cassawerry.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
If I'm in Quasland, I have a catterwery as a pet.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, I want a pet shark. Why can't I have
a pet shark.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
David Attenborough has said famously that the only anal of
the world that scares him that he doesn't like is
a cassewery. Hideous things.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Thank you for all your cool

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
