Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nacona down to the Joesy De Man
of Arms for the pub test and today mandatory military service.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Does this pass the pub test?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said that if he's reelected,
he promises national mandatory service. He popped up on TikTok
to say.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
TikTok, sorry to be breaking into your usual politics free feed,
but I'm making a big announcement today and I've been
told that a lot of you already have some views
on it. So first thing, no, I'm not sending everyone
off to join the arm What.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
He has said is that eighteen year olds would either
have a choice between a twelvemonth full time placement in
the armed forces or volunteer in their community for one
weekend a month over a year. I'm sure our age
group thinks yes. So it's tough en up our young people.
But we've given our young people no reason to actually
want to do anything in our communities. We've taken everything

(00:50):
from them pretty much and raise an era of people
who have an opinion about what they want to do.
They're not just going to sign up much.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
There's a bit too much opinion these days.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Listen to you, there's a little bit too much opinion.
What do you think because people are saying, should we
have it here in mandatory military service? Does it past
the pub test?

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I think your past is the pub test. I think
it will solve a lot of problems. I think the
one will solve one employment and the other thing is
to be good for the younger kids that they might
learn something.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Yeah, I feel, but it does. I think a lot
of the younger ones today don't have any respect, and
I think that's probably the number one problem. If we
have respect, we'd have everything. So that might help with
making that a been easier.

Speaker 6 (01:31):
Yes, it does. It will help teach people discipline. It
will help curve all the problems we have with our youth.
They haven't been taught discipline through their parents. Like doing
national service. They'll learn what the boundaries are and they'll
actually know the consequences for their actions.

Speaker 7 (01:49):
His time at the moment is I height, and I.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Think this generation needs to learn respect for their for
those citizens.

Speaker 7 (01:57):
They need to learn how to use their skills to
best their ability, and I think it would be a
great thing. They need to learn how to show their
world that they are capable and less anxiety in our
children today would be great.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Definitely past the play, Yes, it does well. I think
it should also go a step further. If anyone signs
up to serve in the military, maybe the government should
allow them to be when they go to Purcha's house
FAM two D free as an extant to join and
serve the country.

Speaker 6 (02:30):
I've now become officially old.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
You agreed with every one of those callers. Yeah right,
lookfod to you go home and tell that to your
youngest son.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
National service and a haircut. You can set a watch
buy that's what you need, kid,
