the big Dance at ram Wicket two.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
You don't even know about it until you saw the
paper this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yeah, and the Telegraph. Have me just say what am
I missing out on?

I saw Warren Brown's little cartoon and.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
I groaned when you read it.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I groaned with enjoyment. And look see it's got like
a little jockey dancing with a horsey and then the
lady just cranky Melbourne and do you Sydney signed his mind.
We're trying to watch the coup where fun city, That's
what we're about. And I think we should have a
national holiday because I'd like to get down to Ramwick

(00:44):
today and have a little flowing.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
At lunchtime and caddle boarding every day it's a public holiday.
If it was a public holiday, I would that makes
no sense.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Lots of people go anyway, so you why would you
need a public holiday when most people, a lot of
people take the other I think we should have.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
A public holiday and you and you know what, when
you're having a public holiday, you feel better.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
You feel unless you're running a small business and then
what happens.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I'll come on the small businesses will be okay, there's
a lot going.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
On in who's going to play, who's going to man
the radio station? What's someone? Will Ryan ran with a
B He'll do it if he wants.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
John Farnham one, two and three and there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
All right, well look how are you phrasing it? So
this is over to you, Brendan.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Should there be a national holiday for the race that
stops the nation? That's the question, Big Dan slash Melbourne Cup.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
He's what you've answered on the track.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
I'd like to see you the public holiday and Sydney
strapped Labor Day in occober Well.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Actually i live in e South Wales and I've got
a little small business and I've never worked on the
Milk and Cup day.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
All the boys have it off.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
I'll make sure they all have it off and we
all got to golf. Yeah. I think it's a working
for the same company for eight years and the boss
always gives us a half day and we go out
for a little work function on Melbourne Cup. So I
think it should be a national holiday. It's been around,
as Jones said, for over one hundred and plus years,
so I think it's about time we push it forward.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
No, I don't think it passes the pub test. It
ended up being a four day weekend because I think
people would just take Monday off as well, and it's
the Melbourne thing for the Melbourne Cup. But I think no,
I think Jones has taken something and it's a bit delusional.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Today, well, we think that it absolutely passes a pub test.
We think it should be a public holiday so we
can go watch the races.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
See what about the guy he said he's the boss.
Everyone has it all. But he said they all go
and play golf, nothing to do with the races. That's
you know, you know what.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Everyone takes the rest of the day after the show,
everyone go home. Okay, you take the rest of the
day off.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Right anyone who's sexual am not?
