Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation On Instagram, I follow a site
called Me and Dollar Listing.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's just got all these great houses and Sydney for sale.
And I was looking at this particular house in Newtown,
this giant warehouse thing. And I've always liked the idea
of living in a Batman style warehouse in the middle
of the city. You know, boom, you just in and
out and you got your or your bikes and staff
parked in the in the house.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
That'd be cool. And I was looking at this and
I thought, that looks familiar. That place looks for me.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
In a bit more investigation, it is the old house
where the Living Room show was shot.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Because you've given me some pictures.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
I've got some pictures here because when you.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Said the house was for sale and it was twelve
million dollars well and Bakarue, I thought, you're kidding me.
But they've rejushed it. It looks fantastic because when we
filmed there, it takes up a whole block. It was
an old bakery from many many years ago, a whole
block in Newtown. Great location and but a lot of
it was derelict. We filmed in one portion of the
(01:02):
house and you couldn't really even go upstairs to some
of it. It was jammed with stuff and it was unsafe.
But look at what they've done. It is spectacular. The pool.
We filmed around the pool. There's a library. Look at this,
a bespoke library, music room, artist.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Studio library in the house. That's good. All the books
up there.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
It's this house is beautiful. I'd love to live there.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
You should buy it.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Twelve million And why don't you get the boys Chris,
Barry and Miguel all do a chip in and you
could all live there like Burton Ernie.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
And another Burton Ernie, Bob and Carroll and Ted and Allis.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
And I can pop round sure like a sitcom because
that's where I infamously put on the speedos and got
in the pool on a subboard.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
We did a broadcast for our radio show from the
living room to launch the new series, and in the
middle of it was cold, it was winter. That's what
you said.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
You got into your speedos.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
And Chris thought it'd be funny he puts some because
we knew you go supping and showing off on the pool.
He squirted some detergent onto the board. We hoped that
you'd run and skid and fall off. We'd all laugh.
But he didn't put enough water on the top of it,
so it wasn't skiddy enough. All it did was make
the pool foam up through the day.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Underestimated the power of the jay dog and his stability
on the board.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah, and you, in good nature stripped down to your
speedos and did it. Yeah, we were proud of you.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
So that twelve million dollars, I wonder what it would
have been had I not done that.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Probably twenty million.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
It's quite the legacy. Bread to burn some sage buying
that joint.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
It does look incredible. It's still got the mural on
the side of the building that we painted for it.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Munz was here, Monce was here.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
You wanted twelve million dollar house in a great location
in the town, help yourself, yep.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Just it's not like amated lil horror.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
No, And just remember what happened in that pool and
involved Jonesy and some Speedos.
