I've just been watching the snow White, the new controversial
Disney snow White, and the Seven.

Dwarves are calling it that. Now.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
You haven't watched the movie, just the trailer.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
And I was watching it on the Telly last night
and came on and then I was looking at snow White.
I went, well, you know, she's not like the snow
White princess that I had imagined she would be. And
I was discussing this with my wife. Well, snow White,
the whole premise of that.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Tell me the story? How does snow White?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
The story goes, so the evil step mother goes to
the mirror each day who was the fairest of the mall?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
And the mirror says, well, it's you know, it's not you.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
I wish it was you, your stepdaughter, your stepdaughter, she
vanished into the woods. I don't know anyway. That's all
well and good, But snow White in this it's got
a bit of a Princess Fiona vibe.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
About oh, not attractive enough for you?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
What? No, I'm just saying, it's like Jack Reacher.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
You know, she looks like Jack Reacher.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Jack Reacher is six foot seven tall. If you read
the book, Uh, six foot seven, he's six foot seventy,
a ball and muscle. And then they put Tom.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Cruise in there, who is not six foot seven.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
And so what you're saying is this, she.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Is the fairest of the wall. So what happens is
the evil stepmother who was.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Played by incredibly Look I've got them side by side.

She plays the most beautiful. She is beautiful maman.

If you had to say who was hotter out of
snow White and you'd be saying, well, don't worry about it.
So anyway, she disguised itself as a hag, goes into
the forest, gives snow White the poison apple. Snow White
eats the apple, goes to a sleep. Prince comes along,
not Princess in Prince purple rain Prince.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I know, I remember, how where do the dwarves come in?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
She looks after him.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Isn't that sleeping beauty that you've just described.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
No, it's put it with grim brothers.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Really they had one. Trope goes to sleep and doesn't
talk for.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
All, Rapunzel letting down her hair and all that junk.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
So you don't think snow White's attractive enough.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I just think for this. She needs to don't at
me about this.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Quirky attractive. She looks like the girl from who played
Wednesday in the Adams Family remake. So quirky, young, interesting, attractive.
Her eyes are a little bit wide and yeah, and
so she's not classically beautiful like gal Gado.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
So what's gal Gado worried about? She's going to walk
into the forest with the apple. Don't waste your time.
And also the example myself or bugger, it's poisoned.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
People are also saying that there's a workness to this
that they're not liking because there's no dwarfs, there's no
short statute people. It's just a mishmash of quirky genders
and sizes. You know.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Just come up with new stuff, isn't he That's all
you're gonna do? New stuff. There's people out there coming
up with stuff all the time.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Just make new stuff, Just make news and stitch.
Speaker 1 (02:50):

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm.
