Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jonesy and Amanda in the mornings. Well, look sharp, our
next guess is one of the most impressive people in
the world. Who do you say that about. He's changing
how we get around the globe one spaceship, one plane,
one boat at a time. He's in the country promoting
his new anti cruise line and Virgin's new flights to Japan.
It's Sir Richard Branson.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Good morning, Good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
How are you doing anti cruise line?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yes, tell us about that.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
We decided we would try to build a cruise line
that was unlike any other cruise line, very virgin, very fun,
adults only. And next week I actually go on the
first sea trial of our first boat that's come out

(00:50):
of the dock in Italy. So the initial one will
be applying the Caribbean and people will be able to
get there by flying reg in Australia of course, and
then well we'll do one in the Mediterranean and then
the third one I'm hoping to be able to operate
out of Australia. So but you know, it's their beautiful

(01:15):
ships and there will be a lot of fun to
travel on.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Because it's not often you hear the word Virgin and
cruise line in the same sentence.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Uh, that's true, there's not often Before we started Virgin,
I don't think anybody associated Virgin with with enterprises and
businesses and things like that. Anyway, over the years, maybe
we've changed that somewhat.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
But reading about some of the stuff on board, so
is it true there's going to be an on board
tattoo parlor.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
There will be an on board tattoo parlor, will be
you know that We've got quite a lot of guests.
We've got a couple of thousands staff working on it,
and there'll be something for everybody. But but it is
going to be added adults only for the first years anyway,
and so you know, we'll have lots of fun adult

(02:06):
entertainment and just give people a great time.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
And are you still planning to hit into space commercial flights?
I know what you were hoping that they'd start next year.
Is that still on track?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It is? You know, we've had five people into space
this year, all our test pilots, so it's been a
very exciting year, the first five assauts to be created
since two thousand and nine in America. And next year,
and I've said this before, but next year I really

(02:37):
believe I'll be going up and then we'll have other
people going up to hew.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
You going with the kite surfing. You're still doing that.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Kitesurfing is good. But I'll tell you what, I've got
a bunch of people from Berton, Australia sitting around me,
and they're going to get really upset if I carry
on talking about tie surfing when I'm about to announce
that we're going to be flying to Japan Canada on
the twenty ninth of March next year. And Canada is sorry.

(03:07):
Japan is dear to my heart because you know, we
hunt one's balloon from Japan to try to be the
first across the Pacific to America some years ago. But
it's also I think been proven from the World Cup.
What a fun place it is to visit. Great skiing
and you know, beautiful temples, great food, lots of great karaoke.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Japan is brilliant. I hear you putting a giant sushi
train on a baggage carousel at Brisbane Airport.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Don't spoil, don't spoil the fun. We haven't done but
we haven't done any unveiling.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah, it's hard up there, which is just you know,
refrigeration of refrigeration.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
No, we're gonna have it. We're going to have some
fun today launching the route. And what a good idea
Sushi on a carousel.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
We pretend I've suggested it.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, yeah, thank you for that.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
You're welcome. At least a man is not offering to
eat it off her. No, well that's true, that was
the cruise.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Well look anyway, just say thanks, thanks for thanks for
the call.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Welcome, nice to talk to you, Richard. Thanks you for
taking out call. Check out vergins and new Direct flights
