Speaker 1 (00:00):
How's Lisa's golfing motion? How's her swing motion? As Lisa
learns something new a little later in life, not too
late in life, do you be careful, I'm treading very
very carefully. Yes, we're both picking up something new. I'm
learning Spanish, Lisa is learning golf. Lisa says she's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
No, I said, I have improved eight a little bit.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Well, let's find out the real story from Jessa Speechley,
who is the golf instructor from Golf w A and
jundle Up Country Club, but more famously known as Lisa's
golf instructor.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Good morning, how are you guys? Good? True? She's amazing.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I was just going to say the true story. Is
she really?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Very very true? Yesterday was a breakthrough. So we're up
to lessons. We've done four lessons and yesterday was just
very consistent. The ball popping up and seeing Lisa's face
smile made my day.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
It's a sense of achievement, isn't it. When the ball
doesn't go to the left or the right and other
people have to die. No one's had to dark.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
We keep her a good distance.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
We don't do any ducks though, so that's the wildlife
are safe. So, Jess, what in particular is is Lisa
very good at showing signs of you know, a little
bit of class apt.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
She's committed, like she wants to get better, should be committed.
She's coming every week. She's getting more comfortable to get.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
To participation trophy.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
She gets to see me. But honestly, she's definitely improving,
like she's getting more comfortable with how she's setting up
and her grip as well, and just feeling the motion
like she's finally understanding a bit of the concept. So exactly,
it's going very well.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
There's a lot to think about.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Feel not moving ahead, feel the golf stick, feel the ball,
move it through. You know. One of the things Jess
that Lisa is most proud of. Went to a golf
day a couple of weeks ago. One best rest, Yes,
did you have.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Any I was like, where's my solo?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Gave me good advisor advice.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
So so, so what what what is the most challenging part?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
What?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
What?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
What?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
What's what's Lisa's biggest challenge that you think still faces
in the game of golf. And there are plenty of
challenges playing golf.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
It's still early day it's very early days. I mean
there's going to be challenges ahead, but obviously we're still
working for you or her.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
I enjoy Lisa's company. It's great, like we have a
good time. We have a good laugh. But no, she
I wouldn't say. I mean still trying to get the
ball up in the air.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
But yo, Jess, I've heard that you've told told her
to stay away from the driver for now.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Why now still? I think we're almost ready awesome. I
can't wait to whack that.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, yeah, cool. I have one question?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
When will I be allowed to go and try go,
you know, play on a course.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
How about let's let's after our lessons.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Okays and maybe not maybe not royal joodle up first up,
because you know you don't want to.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Such a beautiful place. Jess gets to work there every day. Really,
it has just the loveliest vibe as soon as you
step out of the car. Yeah, it just feels like
a really nice place to be.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I think, take her somewhere with this fake grass, do
a lot of damage.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Much to the range to practice. When we learned yesterday,
Jess the.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Hinge straight.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Sweep all.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
The keywords they're in my head and I'll wait about
today and I'll see you next week.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yes, perfect, I'll see you next week.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Okay, bye, thank you, Jess, thank you. I'm glad you're
up for the challenge. So that's that's the true story,
where you get and Jess is one of the best
in the.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Businesses is the best in the business if you don't mind, so.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
It wouldn't be your teacher otherwise.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yes, So that's that's how we're going.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Okay, good, all right. I look forward to hearing when
you finally get out on the course and they've cleared
the wildlife and other participants and everyone's safe.

Speaker 3 (04:36):

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
