Speaker 1 (00:00):
Lisa, how are you feeling this morning? How did you
pull up after an early start yesterday and then a
day out on the green.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I pulled up okay, but I was knackered when I
got home last night.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
My back hurt, my hand hurt. My pride was okay.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Touch dented, but don't worry. All of our prides were
messed about a bit.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
We played nine holes. It took us a while on
the Championship course.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
At three groups we had I think.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
We let three. But where where those kind of guys.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
There would have been a giant traffic jam.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
And I didn't want an audience, so you know, they go.
A couple of things that stood out from yesterday. If
there was a bunker, my ball found it like a
heat seeking missile.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
I gave Lisa Shaw a new name yesterday Sandy Shaw.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
My sand wedge.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Sandwich got quite the workout, you know what I needed some.
There was the first time I ever chipped a ball
out of the bunker, so I needed the practice.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah you did, and you've got plenty of it.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
It was funny.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
There was a tree. I found it, Yes, you did,
right in the middle. I was, of course. Barrow. Barrow
was very good. In fact, was excellent as well. We
knew he would be because he spent a bit more
time at him. Of course, as we prepared to tee
off from the first hole, barrel with you know, all
of that experience was was dishing out the wisdom. I'm
(01:26):
going to give you a little vase.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Start thinking, let things happen, and be the ball I feel.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Start that I actually on that first hole too. I mean,
I we got you know, you got the nickname Sandy
Shaw after a while. I was Moses because the first
thing bar Moses. It's in the reads and I never
got that ball back.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
You lost a few balls. I lost two and you
found four.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I found four.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
I lost I lost one. Now here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
It took us four hours when it probably should have
taken two and a half. Thank goodness for the drinks
cart guy.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Two visits.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Russell got a pars.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I was the only one on the team to make
par well.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Barrett did, didn't He didn't.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
I don't think he may oh my gosh, I remember,
well he may have. He may dispute. He may dispute
that when he comes in. But I'm pretty sure I
was the only one.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Who made playing that right now now my best shot,
because let's face it, most of them didn't actually make
the scorecard because there was I learned that the worse
you are, the more exercise you get, so you know,
swings and roundabouts. But I got a double bogie, which
is two shots over par on the last hole.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah I got it.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Took me seven for a five part and so I'm
not miserable about that.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
And you know, you've you've showed used some of the
practice you've been doing with the driver.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I had a couple of good ones of those and
then some reasonable putting.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
So it was all the in between.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
But for the most part, the birds were safe. It
was the worms who were worried the gophers.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
No gopher was sticking his head up to do the
little caddyshack.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Dads, that's for sure, not brave enough.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
So it was the in between.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
It was drive okay, part okay, try to take less
than twelve to get it there.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
It was a good day all round. We had a
lot of fun out and we copped a lot of sun.
