Speaker 1 (00:00):
We came in this morning. Our producer Susie, who plays
cricket on the weekends, has managed to jar her finger,
like quite badly. It was bruised and enlarged and.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
There's different colors, so.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Painful, and when you lose the use of a finger
it really changes everything you do. Still took two catches
on the weekend, though, well everything hurts because your finger
touches and you feel like everything else is hurting, but
it's really that finger. Still still took catches.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I catches win matches.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
And that's true. Unfortunately they didn't win the match, but
it's still a good model to go. But all there,
I managed to put my back out on the weekend
lend last week end last week. Yes, I'm going to
spread all the malt from the tree that got to
chop down and all that sort of stuff. But well
none of that happened because my son had two friends

(00:53):
sleep over on Friday night and out in the loundero
and there's blow up mattresses and iPads and laptops everywhere,
you know, and they went off down to the shops
and Dad goes, I can't stand the side of this,
so I'll start moving things around and getting things back
to normal, and then just like that, that's how it happens,

(01:14):
Just like that, the back just an an address. You
just went just you know, as happens later in life,
you just move wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
That's all.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I could have just left them.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I just why I just didn't say do it yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I never learned you clean up the mess.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
I never learned.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
All right, Well, we're asking how you've done yourself a
recent injury. What did you do this time?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
And the bigger the injury, the better.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Andrew and Mount Helena, Hello.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Morning, Andrew, getting there recovering well?

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Last week I was playing squash and I hit the ball,
got a problem and didn't stop and ran straight your walk.
Oh so I ran arm first into the wall the shoulder.
I thought that's tingle, yes, but it felt fine, you
know a little bit that getting wrong with it taken

(02:08):
a week and the bruisers finally come out.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Oh were you wearing your dune locked volley's mate? You
didn't have the right stopping shoes on, did you?

Speaker 5 (02:17):
I'm too cheap for that.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
That's some That looks like a dangerous game to me.
Squashed like you could take an eye.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Out twice in three games.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh no, it's an intense game.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Stop.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
The universe is talking to you.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
It's saying, have you have you thought about taking up
bottles instead?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Andrew?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Although mind, you got to watch your back on that
because you've got to lean down.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Yeah, I think I'm just falling apart.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I think I think maybe you need to sit on
the couch and watch other people play. Just look out
for the wall. Thanks for calling.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
I hope you feel better.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Oh thanks mate. I won't be playing squash any time.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I know, I know. David in Ridgewood says, I leaned
over the arm of the couch I was lying on
and tweaked a rib. Cartilage hurts to breathe hurts when
a cough, hurts, when I sneeze, And all my wife
does is laugh. I laugh, and it hurts even more.
That's that's a really injury.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
One injuries on a couch, even watching other people playing sport.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Oh, Paul in joodle up?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Hello, what of your morning? Good Paul.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
On Friday, Max has just got a brand new e
bike We're the Fortune, and he went out trick or
treading for Halloween getting Molly's yes. So he's ended up
riding over to my house. So we kept it there,
and we're a bit worried because we heard about the
skimmers can get through a car bought. So he said, oh,
we'll just wheel it up the stairs a miniature townhouse. Yes,
we'll wheel it up the stairs. Keep it up the

(03:53):
top and that way if anyone gets in there, they
can't just press the button get out, get with a bike,
you know, I mean, yeah, so I halfway, we're not
a third of the way wheeling it up, and you know,
how are you ceiling in your car port? Is the
roof of the stairwell if you know?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:10):
It is. Anyway, I got halfway up and being to
my head right on the ceiling because it's got it's
like lower where its stairs are got a duck under
it normally, but because I was wheeling the heavy bike
up the stairs, I didn't remember. So I've hit me
head and got a line dent right across me forehead.

(04:32):
And I was trying to hold the bike because obviously
I didn't want to go backwards with it. And you know,
do you remember the old fashioned TVs how they used
to turn off to a white dot? Yes, you know
that sort of happened to my visions as well, so
I ended up like going backwards into the wall. And
he was worried about the bike of course, And yeah,

(04:54):
today I tear what I've molded the top of my
head into an Astralia.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
If they just stole the bike, yeah, Paul, can I
ask your question mate, how's the bike?

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:06):
The bike so that he actually just bought a carb
and fibers, sir, and throttle for it. So we had
to solder it up anyway. And it was a bit
windy on the weekend for the guests soldering iron, so
it needed to go up there anyway.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, all right, bring it down again.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
I have a job where I have to concentrate all
day today looking in a mirror.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Thank you, Paul, thanks for sharing.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Right.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
We've got Jordan on the line from Thornleigh. Good morning, Jordan,
Good morning you.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Okay, So it wasn't exactly me, it was it was
my partner. So two weeks ago we thought let's go
down to a little fish down at the old doors
all cut and it's the always the old Just one more,
one more, you know. She was getting set up. I
was like, yeah, just one more again. She's packed up
the car and thought oh yeah, one more thing to collect,
and I've got a bit of a snag and I thought, oh,

(06:03):
I'm on here. But then again then I.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Thought, oh no, I was just this is enough.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
So I've done the old heave ho, and I've rica
showed the sinker and I've heard a slight yelp, and
I've turned around and I've looked at my partner and
she's holding her face and then she pulls, she pulls
her hands away, and she was like a zombie from
one of the movies, with a split just above her lip,
just a full on big gash that opened up from

(06:26):
the sinker.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Oh I was.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
It was pretty traumatic. I wanted to become a fish
and jump in the water and just swim away.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Because you knew what was coming. Something good came out
of it for you. Well done? Oh what a cat?
Well yes, And you can't throw that one back.
