the finals for the first time in three years.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
And talk of a Kobe Bryant film in the works.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Let's talk sport with an Adrian Barrage.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
When you've got to get work here, you've got to
get into work Clobber their eight trade stores are everywhere,
so when you need it you can get it or
check out worklobber dot com, dot ATUF.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
What a weekend, very much.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
We do that again. I heard there was yelling at
a television in yesterday afternoon in Mount Laws at Mount Lay.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yes, it was absolutely I thought it was very exciting.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Tell you what, if you're watching the footy, something's happened,
something big has happened, and it was the Dockers. They
were in Purple world Wide and Purple.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yeah, and so was I.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Really well, purple relief for one team that they're into
the finals and relief for the other team that.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Yeah, well it should be over unless something happens on
Wednesday night and the Suns somehow lose DEAs and and
who banged up they're playing there.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Eagles are going to get.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Into the.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Sorry, yeah, the Bulldogs yeah yeah, yeah, Well the Dockers
we never doubted, and Freemantle booked their place in September
fifteen point winners, of course, spurred on by their best
quarter for the year. It was seven goals stunner in
that second quarter, seven unanswered goals, just bang, bang, bang.
It was a thing of beauty. Shay Bolton, that's why

(01:52):
they got him. He's a big time player, two flags
at Richmond, big time Bolton, he delivered and the much
malign Jai am.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
I thought he was amazing. I thought he was the best.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Well, I thought Hayden was the best because he was
instrumental in everything that happened. He was and I thought
Amos was incredible.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Amos went from Amos to never Miss. He was incredible
and full credits to Justin long year because he's gopped.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
A lot of flapped it so bad, whatever reason.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
But he kept the faith in his team, kept the
faith in his two rock policy. And he's three tools
up forward and they all kicked three goals trading. That's
it's amazing. What about Alex Pearce, I mean, we love Alex.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Purple Jesus, Yeah, that's him. He's a bit like Jesus.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Like he shouldn't be playing footy. He should be in
a movie with Tom Cruise or something. But he kept
danger Man Sam Darcy to wait for it, let me check.
No goals, that's he kept the champ. And Murphy Reid
must be the Writing Star winner this year. How good
is that kid? He is spectacular. They won't give it

(03:00):
to him. Don't give it to that Levi Ashcroft from
the Brisbane Lines, that's what they're like. But Murphy read
spectacular and the Bond.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Was very good though it wasn't he.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
There's a theme here with you.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
No, no, he was. He was pretty good.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
He was good.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
He was and he played well too, That's what I mean.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
He kicked an important goal. But what about Patrick Voss.
He's gone from the he's got to move from the
Prancing Pony. What about the Purple Stallion, what about something.
It can't be a prancing pony when you're like that,
you're so muscular and huge and pushing people over and
or iron.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Hooves, iron hooves.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Okay, I don't see that one.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
We'll work on it. We go back and work on something,
because they'd have to be a clime. He hates being
called the prancing pony. Yeah, I wouldn't that you were seriously,
And then he hit him after the game and he
admitted that, and then he couldn't he couldn't remember what

(04:06):
Alex Pierce said after the game in the group. He said, no,
I just went over and then Piers came on and
started talking about how anxious he was in the lead
up to the game. And he may not play, that's
a sensitive man, but he did the job. So three
seven and three against top nine teams, so that means
they can do it. I mean, I don't want to
say that it's flag man.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
No, don't say the word.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Don't mention that. I'll just tell you what happens now.
So the Dockers will host Hawthorne all the Gold Coast Sons, Okay,
most probably next Saturday week here in perth Off the
Stadium again, they're in sudden death.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
From now on to I prefer Gold Coast.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
I think Gold Coast. So the sun Suns should beat
Essena on Wednesday night, beating up Okay on the Gold Coast. Yeah,
and if they win by more than thirty points, the
Dockers will play Suns. If they win by less than
thirty points, it'll be Hawthorne at Opta Stadium, So pretty cool.
And the finals top four locked in Adelaide finished top

(05:09):
Geelong second, Brisbane third, Collingwood fourth. So the Crows will
play Collingwood in Adelaide in the first week of the finals,
and the Cats will host the Lions at the MCG
and the rest will be sorted out after those games
are done.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
But if I don't normally go for Adelaide Cats and Lions, no,
but I might make an exception.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Yeah Collingwood.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
And so just so people know, if Frio get through
week one, which they will, they'll win here. They'll play
the loser, the loser of Geelong and Brisbane away. So
if they if it's Geelong, it'll be the one.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Week one week. Let's just look one week at a time.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
What a weekend Those poor old Eagles actually you know
who I feel for its Oscar Allen. He's the co
captain of the club. The Eagles have had their worst
ever season and he has to go, oh listen, by
the way, I'm leaving. What hang on?

Speaker 4 (06:05):
We've just been You might as well do it at
the time when everything's going wrong.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
Just just just do it, ripping a band aid off. Yeah,
as it turns out. I mean, Queensland was calling and
he'd rather be a one team players. I know that
he's a beautiful man, but beautiful one day, big contracts
in there, they go out the door and it's only
human And you know, the Eagles potentially can get picked

(06:31):
two in the draft, so they'll have picked one and
two and two. So they probably got the bubble bubble
wrap outs, get the bubble wrap.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Picks last year, didn't they?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I mean, what just sounds to me like sometimes these
you know, the people bang on about having a great
pick and it means nothing.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
But the problem lost so much experience this year, Yeah,
there was so there was an imbalance.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Yeah yeah, a couple of years time.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
It was an unprecedented situational So.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
What I just feel old ask anyway In the cricket
Australia went mad in the Kai. I think it was
great Barrier reef Oval it's called or something. Yeah, that
sounds good, doesn't.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
It sounds like a weird place to play.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I saw the score. I had to do a double take.
I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, well one.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Day, I know you missed the footy. It's good you
saw the cricket. Look just the score. It was busy
acting or something.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
It wasn't, but someone had it on there. They were
watching the Frio Doctors on their phone.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
So I shoulder, of course. So they didn't want to
lose the Series three and get whitewashed. So Mitch Marsh,
Travis Head and Cameron Green they all blasted one hundred
over one hundred so no one's actually no Australian team's
ever had three Australian score century in a fifty over match.
So that happened. We posted two for four hundred and
thirty one. That's amazing, our second highest total in ODI history,

(07:54):
our second ever, and they smashed him. They won by
what they went two andred and seventy six runs, but
they did. They lost the series quickly. The waffle w
Grand Final. So the women, the local women claim up
won their third premiership in four years Juggernaut, yet by
a single point. It was really wet. Tiger's played in
four consecutive grand finals now and they won last year

(08:16):
and this year, so back to back, so crazy stuff
and it's waffle final time. We got to get past
East from Mantle first day. So on Sunday we were playing. No,
we're playing Clemont Claimont on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
We're always playing.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
I got no skin of the go to Sharks.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
No, hang on, we're playing the Sharks. So if East
Perth lose and then we're playing the week after and
get what's your favorite drink or wine.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Or anything red?

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Yeah, hang on, I'll get back to it. One that
everyone loves a really expensive one.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Ped folds great, great.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
If we if we win, about that?

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Check the price of a pet folds grades recently.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
What do they go for?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Loose a lot?

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Loose change, He'll find it down between the cushions.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
And left garden for a loan.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Yeah, they'll just give you there, guys.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Lisa More Russell More Podcast.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Soon on Saturday, we need to go shopping for address
because yesterday I spent most of the day on a
movie set.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
For a dress.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Who's an extra? It's not the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
She managed to get to a gig as as her
and her friend. Yes, got a gig as an extra
on this little independent film. Thankfully given the weather, Yesterday
was a was an indoor shoot, not outdoors. They haven't.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
It's a lot of sheets involving extras are often outdoors, yes,
sort of a more crowded.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Thankful yesterday would have.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Yeah, but I've got to tell you, sitting around as
a sort of a chaperone, you get to notice the
art of movie making is.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
A very very agous Oh my.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
God, between lights camera action. There is so much in
action except for the lighting crew and the sound crew.
But you know, all the all the extras and all
the actors and a lot of the stuff. They're just
there's a lot of there's a lot of scrolling going on.
There's a you know, just a lot of cybar no trailers.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Goes back to not on an indicend in the Winebago waiting.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
But the catering was good. Nuncio's Mobile Pizzeria rocked up.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Pizza.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
But it was really interesting to watch the process. But
it is quite straw out yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
The movie is called She Came from the Moon. Okay,
I don't know a lot about the backstory because they
weren't they weren't really sharing that, and it could be
it could be a few months away. Under it could
be anything up to a year away because they haven't
finished shooting yet, and and then there's the long editing process.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Yes, that goes on well you know in some of
these Hollywood situations that can be years.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Absolutely, yeah, yeah, absolutely so.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
It was.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
It was a real eye opening experience to go on
my on my first movie set and last No, probably
quite possibly, if my daughter has anything to do with
it, it won't be my last. No, But yeah, it's it's
an eye opener. It's not quite as exciting. I mean,
it's exciting for those for the kids that were involved.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
It's not her first radio though, is it. Because wasn't
she an extra on runt Run last.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Year which made it into the cinemas And she's got
a few seconds on screen there.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
You've got to build that resume somehow somewhere.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
We're hoping that the portfolio is slowly being built, slowly
being built, but we hope that you know, she Came
from the Moon as a success and gets some good
screen time when it's finished.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Maybe next time you could sign up to be an
extra as well, and it could be a real you know.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Yeah, I might have looked a little out of I
might have looked a little out of place at a
school promise.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I didn't realize who was shepherding.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
The write me into the script as the creek.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
No, okay, if the script calls for it. Look, I
didn't know it was his school scene.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
A whole bunch of teenagers.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Would I have seen you in a movie? Though?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yes, I have Russell Clark in a movie.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
For a couple of seconds. Yeah, big movie, too big acclaimed.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Well, it was a documentary.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
It was a documentarycumentary about the late Great Airton Center.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
It was.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
And there was a scene shot at the Adelaide.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Grand Prix, last ever podium, his last ever podium, and
who but should be hanging.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
About right underneath? It was his last race for McLaren
and I happened to be standing next to one of
the McLaren big knobs and so and of course, but
this all came out like ten.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Years yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
And I saw it on a plane I was.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Watching refrained from screaming.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
No, I didn't. I think the guy next to me
sitting on the plane because I kept pressing paws and
wine and pause and rewind. That's because I had a
lot more hair back then, is it? And I think
the guy next to me thought this guy's a bit special,
But it was it was me. I was there at

(14:09):
Late nineteen ninety three, the Late's Great Center. So yeah,
there go, there's my claim to Finell. That's fantastic. Royalties
have come from that movie showing unfortunately, maybe we need
to get you into a movie.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yes, wasn't it.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
We can get I'm ready for my close up.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
Lisa's behind the scenes diary.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
More of Lisa and Mussel's podcast. It's on the way,
sou guys, you had a bad day.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
You think you're having a bad day?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Do you think you're having a bad of Eagles fans?

Speaker 7 (14:47):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (14:47):
On Saturday and just think of the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Yeah, I think of the Yeah Mini, they call him Mini.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Mini McWalter, Minny mcwealter, min McWalter.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
West Coast have officially ended the year with the lowest
win percentage of any team in a season since Fitzroy
is zero percent in nineteen sixty four, and.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
That's that's when they didn't even show up obviously.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
And it.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Not lasting. Some might say, you know, nervous.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Laughter Eagles unfortunately.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Well, and it is.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
It is, of course their worst season, and it is
the worst season in AFL.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
That sixty four was VFL in AFL history.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
But yeah, but maybe you think that's that's nothing. All
it takes is a bad coffee spill in the wrong
spot as you're heading out, maybe.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Catching your little toe on something as you run past
it to get something else.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Have you done that, caught your little toe on the
bed leg or something?

Speaker 4 (15:49):
I have, but I wor Yeah, I try not to
score well, especially if there's other people around.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
I won't scream get it me too, back into a room.
What about how it takes a second to register, you know,
and you do it.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
And you know the pain you know it's coming is
a second.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
It's not enough time to get into that other room
before you. Anyhow, Maybe maybe you're one who's trampoline got
airborne yesterday. I've had that happen.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
People trampoline still blowing, Yes, they do, they do. Do
people not understand the battening down of hatches means it.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Only had to happen to me once before I did.
I've got these little pins that you put down in
the ground.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Yes, absolutely, so maybe that's happened to you.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yeah, you think you're having a bad day. How about
this Matthew in Meadows Springs.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Good morning, Matthew, tell us why.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
You're having If we we had my birthday birth well, no,
my my wife has been sick for a week and
we ended up at the hostel. So I spent by
my birthday at the hospital looking after my lovely life.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Right, the big question is your wife getting better? Is
your wife okay?

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Well yeah, no it basically she's got the onset of alamonia.
So they've given us some lovely drugs and she's another
four days off to get happy again. Right but no,
no taste to have a bit of trouble breathing the
night before. So hopefully, hopefully she'll get a lot better.

(17:30):
But yeah, it was. It was an interesting day for
me with a cancel a few things.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Birthday, Yeah, maybe a birthday redo it a couple of weeks.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
Yeah, yeah, I think we'll try that. I did sort
of have a mini party for myself. I got home,
I got one of those little tiny cakes from colds.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Because I can't taste at the moment anyway, so maybe
just save a really good cake for when the taste comes.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
We probably.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Matthew, I'm sorry to hear that your birthday wasn't what
it should have what I was expecting.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
But yeah, but I'm.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
Glad your wife is going to be okay.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Absolutely, and Matthew is always next year. Yes, thanks Matthew,
thank god.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Wow, Well jess In Byford, what about you? Can you
beat that?

Speaker 8 (18:31):
So this was a few years back. I was actually
opening work, so I was doing the open shift and
I awoke early on a Sunday morning to get myself
ready and I didn't have any water at home, so
I wanted to be fresh and awake. I called the
in laws and thought i'd stop.

Speaker 7 (18:49):
In and have a shower. They were early rises, thank goodness,
and so yeah, I went there did my business. As
I was leaving their driveways on a hill, so I
had to reverse, you know, back up the hill, and
there was a bit of resistance, but you know, pushed through,
and as I got to the top of the hill,
I realized I just gone to burn out. On their

(19:09):
Sunday paper, Sunday.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Times I hope the classified section was okay.

Speaker 8 (19:22):
No, so yeah, they will never let me leave that there.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Burn out on the inlaws news.

Speaker 8 (19:32):
There's still my in laws.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
So I didn't ruin it that much.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Look, I think, if that's the worst thing you've done
to them, yeah you're doing okay.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
You just go down and spend a few dollars get
another paper.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
I did.

Speaker 7 (19:46):
I did pay the favor I did on my way home.

Speaker 8 (19:49):
I did bring them a new paper.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
You didn't just skid off and blame it on someone else.
I saw your paper to part this morning.

Speaker 8 (20:00):
They did see the humor in it, so okay, thanks jaf.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Vincent Stratton says, I'm having a bad day because I
dreamt I one tickets to Jimmy Barnes and I told
my partner we're going, and she was doing cart It
was all around the house and I woke up and
realized I hadn't.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
It was just a dream. And now I'm depressed and
I don't think I can go to work.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Nice try, Vince Nice, I think.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
You're having a bad day. Consider bowing well.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Ard.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
He got up to get ready for work, and while
he was in the shower, the dog walked into his
room and Pete on the bed, so he had to
quickly strip the bed before leaving, and he's going to
need to sort that once he gets home.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
I can relate to this because just before my alarm
went off.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
This morning, I heard the cat throwing up next to
next to the bed on the carpet.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
I knew it was happening.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I wasn't going to get up five minutes before the
alarm went off, and I'm just lying there.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Going la la la, la la la, cart it's not happening.
It's not happening. And it did, and I did have
to clean that up before I came to it.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
That's why our dog is banned from certain rooms of
the house.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Well this was the cat, any animal anyway, all right,
all right.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
So there you go, Tan, You're and Mandra Hello, good morning, Tenure.

Speaker 9 (21:09):
Hi Lisa. Good So our story is on the seventh
of March this year, I was driving to work and
my son rang me and said, Mum, there's a fire
in the car pard and I'm like what So I
didn't about turn, but I was actually stuck in the
McDonald's car drive through coffee.

Speaker 8 (21:29):
I was like shit anyway, So.

Speaker 9 (21:33):
Flying down to Mandra. We live in Marina's Cove and
the whole street was blocked off. And it wasn't the carporard,
it was the whole house. No, it was just awful.
My partner's beloved fifty six Chevy and our beautiful pussy
caut Willow, so she relocked her unfortunately. So but you

(21:55):
know what, the people Amandra have just been amazing, So
people would drop stuff off, They just they were just great.
So we're rac have been fantastic. So they're rebuilding the house.
But I really don't really don't want to go back there.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
But yeah, you just we were lucky.

Speaker 9 (22:14):
You know, we could have been asleep, so and I
wouldn't wish it on anyone, you know, to start again
horrible at my age, you sort of go, oh no,
