Summer of twenty five with the summer of sixty nine.
For some it's it's already arrived. For others it's still about.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
A little over nearly three weeks. Three weeks, why not
not three weeks? Around about two now and a half.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yeah, maybe, okay, I think too, and just crossed them
off on the calendar anyone first, and then of course
the twenty fifth comes around, and well that's that's the
big day, and.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
That's always summer in Perth.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
It is hot.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
I think the long range forecast has it at thirty
one I saw the other.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Day, but change. But we can take that.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
One of the other things about Christmas, not only is
it always warm in Perth, but it has become a
bit of a Christmas tradition on TV to show National
Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Yeah, and I swear every year I
feel Clark was world is more my kindred spirit, every
every spirit animal, every Christmas that goes by.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I mean, I too had my struggle.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
With the Christmas light this afternoon.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
This is me on the weekend on the roof.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Sound like you get off.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
That's where I nearly came off the roof. That's where
I nearly came off the roof.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
It was you. Yeah, that's not that's not from the
movie at all.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
That was just my roof, flat tin roof me up there.
Oh boy, every year I swear.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
I'm going to do it. Oh my god, Well no,
because it's it's quite flat.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
So but you're sort of near the edge, so there's
still that fear of falling off, not sliding off, just
you know, doing the full cart will situation. So and
then of course you know you're up there struggling with
the lights, and you know, and the and the sea
brees was in.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
And you know you're trying to untangle you do this, I.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Do it exten I have to know you don't have to.
But you're a very decent man to do this for
your family.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
I know.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
And then of course there's the smart Alec walking along
the street passing by while you're trying to get the
tree sorder.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Where do you think you're going to put it through
that big bend over? And I'll show you. He keeps walking,
quickens his pace.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Leave me alone, mate, I'm not having fun. I am
not in the Christmas spirit right now.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
So yeah, I know that was my weekend, but I.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Look, the lights are up, and do they work worse
than when you do that thing where you plug it
in and because of one globe, is that still a thing?
One globe wipes out everything because.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
It's all led now, so you know, if one doesn't work,
they all My parents suffered.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Or you can have the odd one out and you know,
you just go, don't worry about it, don't look at it.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
And that was after you and unentangled, and then.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Last night the problem was still going. That's night because
I was trying to get the timer switch sorded. You
know how you get those Wi Fi smart you know,
turn on at a certain time, turn off, And I
couldn't work that out, so there.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Was a different way.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
It was a bit of Clark Griswold coming out for
me last night as well.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
So but we're nearly there.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
We coming to your house for Christmas lights thing on channels.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
And after all of that, people down the road you
look at you look at their display and you go,
that's amazing.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
The hell did they do that? Ah?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Merry Christmas everybody? What day do we take them down again?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
God? Now I've got to take them down in January?
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Who knew you were so christmasy God.
