Speaker 1 (00:00):
The block has been built, The block is done for
another year, and we are celebrating the first doubly Way
winners of the show. Britain tas good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Congratulates Sarah.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
How are you very well?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
I'm not as good as you two? Can I say
the wellness room has had the last laugh?

Speaker 4 (00:22):
We refuse to comment on that, just predictions or comment
rebouting rooms. No previous You.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Backed yourselves in with your plan, the big picture, and
it paid off. You made four hundred and twenty thousand
dollars in profit on your house and with one hundred
thousand dollars in prize money, you are more than half
a million dollars richer today if you were this time
last week.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Way out the others beside ourselves. What is unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
It's life changing, one hundred percent like for this, you know,
for us, this means like our mortgage is paid off
at thirty, which is usually a life changing. It means
it can breathe more time with the family and pursue
other things. So, oh my gosh, it's honestly, it's just
a whirlwind. It's amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Is it hard to tear yourself away from that house
that has just been built.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Now we can't wait to get back to our police
government housing, don't It's a beautiful house. We were enough
to share with our best mates and our and our
kids as well, So you know, we'll soak up every
moment before heading back and getting back on the beat.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
It's always no one's ever pleased when they open up
the reserve price thing. But you know the price that
we saw a price we saw last night for Dalsford.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
It was a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Were all a bit mortified when you saw that price.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Oh, mortified one word. Like again, the loss of work
put everyone on the back foot. I think we were
sort of hoping for it for a two five to
two six, but at the very worst pace at two
to eight reserve. But they're coming in at a three
million or reserve. We were, Yes, we were spaceless.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
It was hard, but I mean, like, we're fortunate that
we have a great real estate team behind us so
long from bucks Beller right, Like they prepared us for
every scenario, for every option order, for every reserve amount,
So you know, I think, you know, we sort of
were prepared. So but look, it should have been lower,
and if it had have been everyone would.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Have made money. So it's a very bittersweet for us.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, yeah, because a couple couple missed out, they got
passed in, didn't they just yeah, just couldn't you get
there were so high.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Oh, that was shattering for us, especially our good mates
from up the hill, Ben and them who have just
poured their heart and soul into that house and just
did not get the results. Today's as well, so and
our other w A team, you know, Handy Can. They've
got such a beautiful unit. You know, it's not the
end for those guys. They're going to walk away with
some care.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
No.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I've seen, you know, in past seasons, we've seen houses
get turned in and then a little bit down the
track we hear that, you know, someone's made a tidy profit.
So it will it will work out in the end.
Now with the house, your beautiful house you built. What
was the most challenging space you did?

Speaker 4 (03:04):
I think it would be the master on sweet Yeah,
mixed with the guest Yeah, because the master On's sweet. Well,
we had a thousand spot fires to put out to
get that room together, and then we we rode every obstacle.
It was only the third week in you smash him
finally put a room together that we're proud of and
then we got rinsed for it, whereas whereas the guests,

(03:29):
we just didn't finish, which was devastating for us. Again,
you put your solents everything and just couldn't get it
over the lawn unfortunately.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
And the chimney Nellie killed you. Has he recovered British
chimney dreams and chimney flashbacks.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Literally and we sit out by the fire.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
He looks like, that's a really nice blue that just quickly.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
So you guys are based in Newman, what's the reception
like being up there? People hitting you up for Renault
tipsy going to it's going to drive you nuts.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Yeah, they just want to use me for my styling,
to be honest, which which I nailed. It's the community
has been actually perfect. We've got a little town center
in the middle of town outside they've put it on
the big screen there and they've come in droves to
watch it. Last night.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Get arrested, so they for information about how to do well.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Listen, guys, we don't want to get back to work yet.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
It's been I've really really enjoyed this season. It's been
lovely to watch you guys. Build a beautiful house and
so happy to see you have a most deserved win.
Are you still in Melbourne this morning or are you
headed straight home or what's happening?

Speaker 5 (04:48):
We are We are still in Dale for it in
our beautiful house at the moment.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
So one strong, yeah, yeah, absolutely soaking it up for
another week and then you know, I've got a few
more commitments here and then we're back to work, the work.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
All right, all right, we'll take those lasting, longing looks
at your creation.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
That has brought you so much money and congratulations, gratulations.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Guys, there you go.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
And it's so nice to see nice things happen to
nice people. It really, it really is.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
And w A people for the first time they had
a very big, a little bit. We're allowed to be.
We're allowed to be.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Let's hope.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Let's hope w A can go strong again next year
as well.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
On the block,
