Speaker 1 (00:01):
There's sure. Reports on ninety six every a new Luther
movie is coming to Netflix. Dress Elva is going to
reprise his role as Detective John Luther. You tell me
to behave myself. You do know the man is Nachel
Glassford's just going to get worse, a lot worse. If

(00:30):
I could only listen to one person speak for the
rest of my life. You don't mind that address, Yeah,
you don't mind you, Dristie, I don't mind you just
at all anyway. Co stars Ruth Wilson, who I also love,
and Dermot Crowley are returning for the sequel. The movie
will follow twenty twenty three is Luther The Fallen Son,
which is a course based on the hit BBC series,
which if you've never seen, Oh my God, do yourself
a favor, as the Great Man used to say, Oh

(00:52):
it is better myself. Have you not seen Luther? Oh
My We're gonna sit you down and watch it. Oh God.
Now the movie He's coming in April. The musical's coming
to Crown next June. And now the King of Pop
Michael Jackson has set another posthumous record. Thriller returned to
the top ten of Billboard's Hot one hundred last week
because of its Halloween popularity, Kidi, and with that, MJ

(01:15):
has become the only artist ever to have a song
chart in the top ten for six decades. Got Jackson's
had hit songs in the seventies, eighties, nineties, two thy,
twenty ten's, and now twenty twenties. As if that album
hadn't sold enough, I know it does it every year,
but yeah, this time it went into the top ten.

(01:38):
Now here's the story that really caught my eye this morning.
So I get it to work. It's about four thirty
and I go into the kitchen because obviously I can't
do anything until the kettle's on, and there's a TV
in the kitchen, and I glance up at the TV
and the USA Today Shows on, because you know, they
put that on in the middle of the night, and
four thirties practically the middle of the damn night. And
so I look at the TV and Al Roker's there

(01:58):
doing his Today Show Weather. All I see is a
giant banner across the top of his Weather that says
Florida falling Iguana warning, And I think, wait, what now
falling falling planas it is a thing, good Lord Florida.
Florida is currently on alert for iguanas falling out of

(02:20):
trees because they're having an unusually cold wintry snap. And
evidently iguanas get sluggish in cold weather and can fall
suddenly and unexpectedly from the trees. They're cold blooded, so
they go into a temporary comatose state. Have a listen
to this guy from the American Weather Channel explain.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Temperatures are turning colder again in Florida, and you know
what that means following iguanas. So here's the science behind it.
When temps drop below forty degrees, the reptile's bodies shut
down as a defense mechanism against the colt They can
fall aida trees and stay paralyzed until warmer weather returns.
Fair warning, don't be a hero. You should not try
to save these animals by putting them in your car

(02:59):
to take to a as some folks recently letered the
hard way. That's a bad idea unless you want dozens
of reawakening aguatas to panic in your vehicle while you're driving.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Just run a little hair dryer around and warm them up. Well,
I've heard, I've heard of cats and dogs I've even
heard of raining frogs, but drop bears. Weather experts in
Florida are warning residents to take the threat of falling
iguanas seriously, citing the case of a man in Miami
who was seriously injured during similar weather conditions back in
twenty twenty three, struck down by a falling iguana while

(03:31):
he was doing an outdoor yoga class. I mean, I've
heard of downward dog, but falling iguana, that's a new one.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
