Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Sure Report on ninety six airm Is that the
sort of intro she gets as well? Or is that
a special one for me? No, only for the last
uptheen years. Sounds like you've been paying attention. You're taking
the mickey out of me. There no very serious bloke,
rich the famous.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Sorry, we've got.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
A more serious news theme for you to the rich,
the Famous and the unrelatable Barres edition of the Shore Report.
So there's a documentary about and I love this about
comedian and actor John Candy coming out. I absolutely love
John so many movies he was in He is me
in movies John Candy, I Like Me is directed by

(00:41):
Colin Hanks. How is that son of Tom Hanks?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
All right?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
So Tom starred in Candy with in Splash and Volunteers,
so they worked together early years. Do you have a
favorite John Candy movie?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I was. I really liked Uncle Buck.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I remember I remember going to see that at the cinema,
not really knowing much about it.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
It was kind of a one of those movies. It
wasn't a big deal made of it, and I went
and saw it one day and came out of when
I loved that.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, I loved it. And I showed the kids that
probably about three or four months ago, and they loved
it as well. I've got a bit of Uncle Buck
in me, I can tell you. And and Barf got
a bit of Barf in me as well from Spaceport.
I love that guy. The documentary will cover his life,
the impact he made on those around him, and features
several interviews with celebrity friends like Bill Murray, Steve Martin,

(01:28):
dan Aykroyd, Catherine O'Hara. He died, of course, in ninety
four from a heart attack. Yeah, while I was filming
a movie, aged only forty three wagons east. So it's
on Prime from this Friday. And yes there is a
devil's costume in there as well. And he didn't like
getting his shirt off either. I believe probably it would

(01:48):
he never come on telethone then would he probably probably
wasn't keen on it. I'm in that. I'm at that
stage of life too now. An avid op shopper has
stumbled on a large piece of Australian TV history.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Everybody, Yeah, so Rebecca found Harold.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Rebecca Bruin was in the This and That community op
shop in Melbourne where she stumbled upon a significant amount
of neighbours props. There were multiple school bags and uniforms
from the fictitious Erinsborough High School. Did they find Kylie's
old bag characteriz Charline Charlene, a key ring from Lassida's

(02:31):
spa and Carl Kennedy's briefcase? Mate, what a revelation. This
is a treasure trow So the thrift store was stunned
to find a long line of people waiting to buy
all their stuff and getting inquiries from overseas. Would have
been especially in the UK and New Zealand. The briefcase,
school bags and neighbors themed umbrellas, among other items have

(02:52):
not yet been sold and will be auctioned off now
now they've worked out what they're worth, auctioned off at
a special event and they remain in storage for charity. Eh,
what do you reckon?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That would be the right thing to do.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Now, listen to this.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
This is important.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Listening This is it's not really that important, but it's
important in the sense of the sure report. Zelda Williams.
Not to put it down, you know what I mean, Like,
it's not a world, it's not changing yet now, Yeah,
but we get the message of this, Zelda Williams Okay,
the daughter of Robin Williams.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
She recently took to her Instagram to tell people to
stop sending her AI generated videos of her late dad, Robin.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
It's really upsetting. A lot of that stuff going on,
and a lot of it.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Can't tell, you know, So she says, please stop sending
me AI videos of dad. Stop believing I want to
see it or that I'll understand. I don't and I
won't if you're trying to troll me. I've seen worse,
so get stuffed. I'll restrict and move on. But please,
if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to
him and to me, to everyone's full stop. It's dumb,

(03:57):
waste the time and energy. And believe me, it's not
what he'd want or what I want exactly. So even
if it's a tribute, just don't do it. You don't
want to be reminded. You know, it's a painful part
to watch the legacies of real people. She goes on
to be condensed down to this vaguely something that vaguely
looks and sounds like my dad's. That's just not on,

(04:19):
And you know, I hate this TikTok TikTok slop puppeteering.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
She calls it. It's mad and a pretty accurate description.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
We're not making art, you're not making anything. You're making
disgusting overprocessed hot dogs, out of the lives of human beings,
out of the history of art and music, and then
shoving them down someone else's throat, hoping they'll give you
a little thumbs up and like it your grass. So
I guess she needs to block them, not watch them,
not talk about it anymore, and we won't talk about

(04:49):
it anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Just to shut him down.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
He died in twenty fourteen. Of course he did twenty fourteen,
eleven years ago. Robin Williams alfelies a month and then
let's finish bang. Ed Sheeran, I loved him when he
was here at Optics. Did you go and see it?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I did see him a OPTI. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
People just dancing like no one was watching. Fantastic, you know,
dads and stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Is that a good thing? Have you seen that?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Mate? Have you ever done that? Dance like no one's watching.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
I would only dance if no one was watching.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Kind of cut loose, mate, come out of yourself.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
No one needs that.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
So Ed Shearon announced a new Netflix special, One Shot
with Ed Sheeran, and it's from the director of that
great drama Adolescence. Did you watch that?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
No? I didn't, but I know well it scooped it
the Emmys.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Did I find out about kids in adolescents, particularly about
emojis and social media?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
That was a big learning thing for me.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
So this groundbreaking show will be captured in one shot,
which has become the trademark of the director, Philip Barantiny.
So it was all one shot, adeless, It is all
in one shot, same thing. So Barantini will feel film
shear and as he travels the streets of New York City,
playing his best known songs in impromptu performances on sidewalks
and in trains, all the while interacting with his fans

(06:03):
and passes by. Starts on Netflix in November twenty one.
How good does that sound? I'm watching that.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Jeez, he's a big he's a big head fan.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Okay, that's the sure report. The rich, the famous, and
they're totally unrelatable.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
From Barron, I'm looking through to the producers. Did he
pass the audition? Is that a thumbs ups out? All right?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
That's what that's what it. Sounds like Robin Williams doesn't
want it, but we want it.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Sounds like you might be back tomorrow.
