Speaker 1 (00:00):
A FINALI of Home and Away. They're about to get
on a train. Money, but I love you.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I love you too.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
There we go. It looks like that's how cute to
get this party started.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
What will happen? Well, let's find out. We have the
one and only Alf, otherwise known of the world as
Ray mayor Marny Logi Award winner joining us. Now, good morning,
it is Campo and Marni.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
How are you going?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
That's us?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yes, very well, thank you.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Do you know Ray that we've got a cardboard cut
out of you in our jocks room here at the
radio station.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
We do, Actually, you too need help.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
It has been here Ray four years, and people move
it around the office and scare the living heck, because
we when we arrive at the radio station, as you
would understand in studios and things like that, it's dark
and you'll walk around the corner and next minute, flaming heck,
here's Alf in your face, and it's like, oh, who's
the it's been Honestly, this prank has gone on for
about seven or eight years, and you're still here.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
And you have to say about that staring the crows
every time you see it, exactly exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
You can never find a crow when you need one.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
It's true mate, true story, true story.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
The finale, it's a ninety minute show, Mary, this is huge.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
I know we've got crashes and all sorts of things
going on.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, a train crash in a soap opera is not
easy to pull off obviously. You know, if you're shooting
one in a feature film, you've probably got six months
to shoot this stiegment that you'll see. It's a pretty
big deal for us. At least half the cast, probably
more than half the cast, are going from summer bad
or music festival. Everybody's in high spirits. The whole thing
is sort of going awfully well. And I won't tell
(01:40):
you the detail, but there is a train crash and
people are badly injured, some might even be killed, and
some might even be characters. But people are very fond.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Of are you and you were going to exist? The
last we see a ray.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Look unfortunately much and all as I'd love to be
in the mosh pit of the music getting getting grunk,
drugged up and grubbing. I miss I missed the train,
so I'm on the train. Unfortunately for viewers, I'm going
to be around for a bit longer.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Ah, we're happy about that.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yes, And mate, what is it? Is it thirty seven
years this year that you've been on the show.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
We've got to get this right. And I know it's
not easy because it's so bloody long, but thirty eight
years this.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Christmas thirty eight Wow, And it's been a regular paycheck.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
That's it's in the arts. To be paid and to
be working is a wonderful thing. And what a cast
to and amazing people you've worked with throughout the years.
I mean Lynch just left as we all know, but
Georgie and all of these great iconic people that have
been on our screen.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Superstars as well international superstars, the hem's words, I.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Know, yeah, yeah, incredible, Ryan Quanton, Yeah, some are weaving,
you know, come through now in the States. Yeah. Look,
there's plenty of them, and there's a whole lot who
are just as good as any of them, like Georgie Parker,
Emily Simon's. You know, there's some wonderful actors who've been
(03:12):
through that show. And also one that we're very fortunate
is making a return visit for a minute, Steve Peacock,
the Brats character. So in the first quarter of next year,
he'll be on air and we really look forward to that.
I did some scenes with him yesterday and he's just
a wonderful actor and a great plow. That's a great
example for the young kids and all of that.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
But my mom loves his characters. So I'll be able
to just update her on the weekend to say, Mom,
these good news next year, because my mom would give
me running renditions of things if we'd miss things, and
she mentioned him a lot, so I think she should
be very happy, as many will mate for his return.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
That's great, No, that's great. But look, the thing that
we're most excited about at the moment is Wednesday night
when the train crash happens. It's beautifully filmed as well
set up, and the good Lord only knows who's going
to come out of it, Huntskate.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
As only Elf could say, that's right, well, Elf, thank
you so much for joining us.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
It is seven o'clock tonight morning on seven and seven
plus the Home and Away twenty twenty five season finale.
Don't miss it.
