also have our pools open, and in particular Oryan Lagoon

is free for families to go along there. And I
know we've had a few people concerned about this nature
center making sure our animals are all good. Please let
people know that our animals are being well looked after.
The anything that the its fruits, getting fruit ice blocks
and some of the areas we've got misted areas as well,
and in particular the builbies are in air conditioning, so

they're being well looked after. But look, if you've got
neighbors who are elderly who don't like to put the
air conditioning on, maybe you want to check on them
young ones as well. It's just you know, it's going
to be a hot one today.

It is a wonderful time of year in southeast Queensland
and a crowd favorite festival is returning this week.

Yes, you cannot go anywhere and it's such without seeing
the beautiful blankets of purple on the ground and the
beautiful purple flowers of our jack arandas so this weekend
we have the iconic Goodna Jacaranda Festival kicks off on
Friday night. You want to pop over and it's all
on Saturday as well, fireworks each night. It's a really
great festival. It's a really great local festival. And so

those of people don't know, Goodner is really well known
for its stunning purple ballooms and most of the trees
were actually planted during the Great Depression by working gigs.
The government had them do this to earn money. And
so we've got a really love the heritage there of
why there are so many Jacarina trees around. Goodness, So

Motorway are the responsibility of the Department of Transporter Main
Roads which is part of the state government, and the
reason why the variable speed signs there. They aim to
improve safety, to reduce the stop start travel you know,
which do frustrate motorists, and to avoid accidents. So they
have been found to be a particular effifty way of

slowing motorists when it comes to hazards. I know it
is a bit frustrating when the speed signs change all
the time, but safety is the number one concern for TMR.

Festival is on this weekend. There are still some tickets

Nickolship Precinct is having a Halloween Carnival of Screams and

having a massive Duali festival with the Brisbane Lines as
part of the women's game and the men's game on
the weekend. So it should be absolutely huge and there's fireworks,
food and lots of dancing.
