So I was walking the dog, Charlie Marney through the
park yesterday and this gentleman was sitting on the side
of the park near a fence, okay, under these gum trees,
and he had this beautiful box and he was taking
it and he put on these sci fi goggles.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It looked amazing.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
And I was just sitting there watching him with Charlie,
and and he pulled out a drone. I thought, oh, okay,
and he's putting it all together and he's testing it. It
looked looked like it was brand new, brand new, straight
out of it, straight out.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Of the day sales. He's brought himself his Christmas gift.
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I'd say that would have been the case.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yeah, right, okay, So he's got the he's got the stuff.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah, sci Fi goggles. Wow, I wonder what high tech?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Okay, So he's put the thing out.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
So I was watching him bidding with the controls.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
He's obviously used to drone before, because he sort of
seemed to know what he was doing.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
And you know, at first he just put it up about.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
A foot and just let it hover, and then he
put it back down. He filled with it a bit
more and then then he was ready. I was going, Okay,
what's he going to do here? Anyway, he obviously wasn't
really looking up. He was just looking at the surrounds
around him. Okay, so brand new drone. What's a drone costs.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
In the thousands?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Well, yeah, more high tech ones, I guess can cost
quite a bit.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I mean, you can pick up cheaper ones.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Drone price Google that.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I think it just.

Depends on the on the caliber and what you're using
them for. And I mean because a lot of people
use them for photography, that's that's very common.

Speaker 3 (01:32):

Well, the high tech ones can be like here we
go seven thousand dollars and it looked high tech.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I mean it was had the goggles. It wasn't the
small ones in the pack. You know, it was in
a big box massive. It was probably a bit yeah,
half a foot wide.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Anyway, straight up, I'm going, wow, straight up into the
gum tree branch comes off. No I heard, oh no,
I heard this big crack and the drone starts to fall. Oh.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Ouch, it's another branch hasn't finished. Bangs on the ground.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Don't no, I see you're right, mate, you're right.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Did he get it going? No, you just you just
leave and.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Had another crack. I yelled out, Does it come with instructions?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Not not alpha. The thing is we were right beside
a football field. He could have gone straight down in
the middle of that no trees.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Well, maybe he didn't mean for it to go flying
up straight away. Maybe he was just like, okay, he's
hovered first. He was adjusting, like, look, I don't know
if not used to drone. Maybe he was like, I'll
just need to do a bit more and it's flung up.
Maybe he wasn't intending to launch from that spot.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It's nothing to see here. Straight out of the box.

Can imagine him coming home with his box under his arm,
his missus going, how did you go?

Speaker 3 (03:21):

Speaker 2 (03:22):

Speaker 2 (03:27):
But yeah, like you know, I almost got hit by
a branch.

You shouldn't have been being nosy, been that close.

Run Charlie, run. The dog was barking.

Oh no, I hope he got it. Do you reckon?
It was destroyed?

Out of the box.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Straight out of the box. Charmaine is just called up.

Oh what is it, Charmaine?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Yeah, the garden next door got a new drone straight
out of the box, and lucky your do didn't.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Do what my dog did. Camper, what was that? Drove
tuned it in two thousands of pieces. The only bit
he left intact was the battery and compartment. There's no
super clue in the world's going to fix that.

Speaker 5 (04:24):

Straight out of the box. This is all about location.
