Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now on Friday we were getting calls money from people
that were saying, there's a mural that's up in Ipswich
Central that's surprisingly looking a lot like the.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Picture of Ed Shearing.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Okay, now this is outside Hotel Commonwealth in the car park,
in the car park there.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
So we wanted to have a chat to the mayor.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
She's just been able to Ipswich in the UK on
the hunt for Ed Sheeran, and we're just you know,
we want to know and get to the bottom of
what the murals about. And the mayor joins us now
and you just received the text from there, I got
some news for us.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Good morning, Matties a hearty good morning, Good.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Morning Morney and Campo. Yeah. I've launched this campaign back
in May off the back of Ed Sheeran doing a
number of surprise gigs in it switched in the UK
and the USA and River have been wonderful. We usually
we usually get an update every Thursday, don't we ipset letters, emails,
social media. So it was really gobsmakes when Warner Music
Australia reached out to me and wanting to deliver this

(00:57):
amazing mural Ed shearant in our city center. So I
think having Ed Sheeran's record label here in Australia fund
a huge mural in our city center is the strongest
sign we've had so far that Ed is receiving how
many invitations to Ipswitch and the mural is perfectly tom
the launch of his new album Play that just came
out this month, and he's upcoming Australian tour next year.

(01:18):
So I think we once step closer to getting Ed
to ower Ipswitch. But I do have something very exclusive
for your money, Campo. I have the publican of the
Thomas Wolsey pub over in Ipswitch in the UK where
the pop up was is in contact with Ed's band
and over the weekend he shared this what's that message
with me with Ed's band, So I'll read it out

(01:39):
to you. The member of Ed's team said, Hey, just
spoke to Ed. They know about it and are looking
into a few things. So the message has different definitely
hit home if you can feed that back and the
publicans come back saying brilliant thanks mate.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
There you go. Wow mate, right, we're getting closer and closer.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Well we got the message from Bill immensely proud, thank you.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I love you too, and we love it the mural.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
He's got the message.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
And when I was in the UK, I spoke with
the mayor of Ixwitch over there as well and he
said he promised to put in a good word for
us as well. So it's great to have all that
support over there as well.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Think it's going to need a team just to handle
all the ipswich correspondents. I'll be like, now hang on
the sec with your album and you too, and that
look that's not an issue. That's sort of but we
need to speak to these people in this switch like
we're on it full time. Every time we open our email,
there's another ten.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
There was a bit of a buzz the artist. It
is a Queensland artist, but he's he's thinking that he did.
I was chatting with with Darren before. He's big that
he did. He was one of the graphic artists for
Grand Theft Auto. It was quite a great mural and
street artist. So he's he's done a great job. But
I think people watching last week wondering what this was.

(03:02):
But once the ginger hair went up, I think people
sort of swinged on and people if switched in Southeast
Queensland feel free to go to Hotel com Wealth. Just
pop into the car park there. It's very easy to
park or walk across from the station, snap a photo,
are selfie with it. And if you could tag Teddy
photos on Instagram that's insurance Instagram account. That would be fantastic.

(03:24):
Let's let's get the momentum going.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh absolutely, look if if where it be?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
South State School is big enough for snoop dog ipswitch
is big enough for sharing?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
That's right. Absolutely, it's wonderful news, great news. Thank you
for sharing.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
May thank you?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
All right? Keep us up dated, will you? If you
get a phone call from Ed, let us know.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Oh well,

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
