are you, Paul Good, Nate Good?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Here you going very well?
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Thank you? Now a massive, massive weekend ahead and I'll
tell you what. At least ninety percent of the population
from Ipswich who love the supercars, they'll be heading to
the Gold Coast this weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
What's in store? Oh man, we can't wait. I mean
everyone everyone saw Baphist. It was one of the most
amazing races we've ever had. Thank you for the rain.
But we're hidding near to the Gold Coast where we're
not expecting too much rain I think until Sunday possibly,
but yeah, we want everyone to come down.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
It's the Gold Coast.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Five hundred, the boost bo bol Gold Coast five hundred,
and it's our first ever finals event, so it's a
huge week for us. We've had the ten finalists in town,
they've done their media stuff and today it gets a
bit more real because the transporters roll into town to
the fans and then we're on track on Friday.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Well, that's always a good site when they roll into town.
People get excited.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, one hundred percent. You know, they all come down.
They've got the teams that have traveled up for Victoria
and those who traveled from as far ast Ableton and Yatlas,
so you know, a good three meters down the road.
But you know when all those tracks roll through Teder
Avenue in Maine Beach, there's a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Of history there.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
That's where the Indy cars used to come through to
go into pit Land themselves. So the fans line the streets,
they cheer on the transporters. There's something like twenty five
to thirty million dollars worth of gear on those transporters
as they come through town, and it just brings another
level of energy. You know, yesterday we had the ten
finalists on the surface sign with a bit of flames
going on behind them and you know doing a finals
(01:27):
launch which we've we've never done before, you know, and
it was very nrl AFL specive. I say so myself
was a park guy, but you know it was awesome.
You know, we've got ten drivers now who are competing
for seven spots to the next semi and anything could
happen because there's still another fourteen blokes on track who
are well and truly here to smaller party.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
There you go, awesome, mate'd be absolutely fantastic entertainment.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Can you tell us who's showing up to perform for
everyone this this weekend?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
There's something for everything to mate. So on track we've
got some of the best trip drivers in the world.
There's a bloke called Baggsy who is a Monster Energy
drift driver. He's a world champion drift river. We had
Lando Norris in his car at Silverson a few months
ago and he's out here. He and Cam Waters, you know,
the Monster Boys. They'll be doing some stuff today at QR,
just some filming and stuff like that, but then they're
(02:13):
down here all weekend. On track we've got drift displays,
we've got the bikes off track for fans, you know.
But then on track we've obviously got some of the
best support categories going around the country and their final
series and then it doesn't end there after the podium.
On Friday night, we've got the Stafford Brothers and Brooke
Evers DJs on Macintosh Island on Friday night, and then
Saturday night we've got one of London's best ever DJ
(02:35):
dowers in Grouver Mater who's come out to play for us.
