No, I know. But what happened because I actually missed
it yesterday because I had storm stuff happening, so I
missed it. So what happened, Well, as you can see, guys,
with the Gold Coast races, there's always a lot of
carnage and the cars hitting the curbs all the time
really put a lot of stress on the cars. And
what happened is we we broke a damper, We broke
a shock in the shop now, so as you're hitting

the curbs all the time, it just puts a lot
of stress on them. And unfortunately the parts let go,
which has been very common up and down pit Lane
all weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
It must cost a fortune, you know. And when those
sorts of things do happen to your cars, Jays, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Well it does, mate. And then we saw with Brody's
car on Saturday when he hit the wall. Yeah, they
did an absolutely fantastic job to get the car back
up to DJR at yellow and had it all rebuilt.
And I think they started the car up at about
five o'clock Sunday morning ready for the race on Sunday
and qualifying.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Okay, so job, yeah, okay, I thought they used a
new car, No, mate, No.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
They actually they actually rebuilt that whole car overnight. So
there is a bit of video up that all the
boys during the whole night rebuilt that whole car from
the from the from the wind screen forward is all
brand new.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Oh my goodness, yeah, yeah, absolutely. How does Nick Perkat
feel when he you know, when that all happens, when
you're you know.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Oh, it's it's it's devastating, you know, because you're running,
you're running in the top ten and then all of
a sudden, you know, just something mechanical failure. It's the
same up and down hit lane Campo. You know, you
get deflated. But the boys are pretty good, you know,
they bounce back and they'll definitely bounce back to sandw Yeah.

That was a massive Oh mate, it was awesome, you know,
we were so happy the rain just held off. Yeah,
you know, ch has had a great weekend, winning both races.
But as you can see, with the Gold Coast made,
every car has a scrape on it. So so there's
going to be a lot of rebuilding in the next
couple of weeks to get them ready for sand down.
