Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mike Gunner.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
He was on Maths Money and now is on Stan's
Love Triangle. Here's what's going down on Love Triangle.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
There are several reasons while it why it hasn't worked.
Your luck of ownership basically to any situation is really
a trait that I don't admire in a person. And
you seem to be quite self focused and completely oblivious
to certain situations when you could be in the wrong.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
All right, so when did that first start?
Speaker 5 (00:32):
With you saying.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
And he joins us, now, Mike, how are you mate?
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I'm very well, thanks Campe, how are you O?
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Great? Mode would answer like I would. Marney knows it.
Speaker 6 (00:47):
Yeah, Hey, I'm good. I'm good mate.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
This is a roller coaster of a show, I mean,
first time round watching you in another series and then
and then this is obviously a whole different series. So
if anyone who doesn't know this, basically, these guys meet
each other of text and you've got to pick somebody
off a text message. Then you meet and then they
bring in that extra person, right, so that's becomes the triangle,
(01:10):
and then you're kind of living in one house, which
is totally awkward. Mike, But how you didn't even get
to that point because you kicked your date out.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yeah, yeah I did. I did. Yeah, I just overheard
what you know, you play back what she said to
me seriously, if you could explain what she was talking about,
I'd love to know. Yeah, that was a real mess
that first match.
Speaker 6 (01:30):
It wasn't great.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
No, she wasn't very nice to you know, and she called.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
You washed up, like I mean, if anyone that walks
in Okay, you're potentially trying to meet somebody here and
you're open with you, you washed up and you lack
of accountability. But she didn't even know you, like, what
is going on?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Well, good question. I don't know. There wasn't a lot
of charm coming from her end. But look I bore
with it, you know. I just I thought initially that
she might have just been a bit nervous, and maybe
that was just her way of trying to express herself
through the nerves. But no, I just never really ceased
(02:07):
the criticism and judgment. So I just had to put
it to bed and say goodbye, show the door.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
Oh my gosh, you did. It was like, whoa good on?
You love it, boundaries see your love. But has anyone
ever done that? Before, like not even gone that far
and said, you know what, go just this is not
even going to work.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
I can't get past this point. This is not happening.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Actually yeah, well onemost show, I think one of the
other girls did something similar, but the gentleman that she'd
asked to leave, you know, he had not really had
any communication with us through the texting phase. And then
I guess turned up about a week later and said hey,
I'm here, and she was all, a bit you haven't.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
Yeah that was Sam, and then he left straight dry.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Yeah, yeah, that was that was awkward.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
It was awkward, But now you've got you. You were
your second choice. It's Melissa, Malinda and Melissa confusing, just
saying sound. I was like what and she's walked in
and I love the moment she says, so, where's your
other chick?
Speaker 6 (03:10):
That was awkward.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
So yeah, yeah, you know, it's funny when I was
watching that back because I could see my face visibly
changed too. Just you know, as soon as I thought
about that other lady, I kind of flattened, you know,
I went, oh God, I don't want to let this
get me down. So I just kind of, I suppose
smiled through it and tried to explain to her, Look,
it just didn't work out, and we just kept ending
(03:32):
up in conflicts, so we had to sort of walk away.
I mean it was as diplomatic as I could have been,
did I you know, did I feel a lot more
strongly than how I put it?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Absolutely. But I didn't want that second match to think,
oh God, this guy's just you know, he's a handful,
So I tried to pull my vessel forward.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Knowing that you're on the camera and these women say
things to you like that or this sort of stuff
goes down, do you feel like, you know, you don't
have to respond the way you would normally outside of
that environments.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
He's not sure of coming forward, like you call it
as it is.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Look, yeah, I guess so. I mean you're there to
be authentic, vulnerable, so I don't even think about the
cameras there. I basically behave the same as I would
in any situation. You know, so I'm going to make mistakes,
That's that's a given. I mean, put a camera on
anyone for a month and you know they're going to
(04:28):
carry on like a pork chop.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
From Didn't you learn your lessons from being on mats.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Trying.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Yeah, I look, I learned lessons definitely, Restraint was probably
not one of them. But look, you can only do
your best. The thing is, I suppose you can't judge people.
Are people judge very harshly when they watch reality TV
because they're looking through, you know, this kind of lens
of perfection from the couch at home and seeing people
(05:01):
stuff things up, And I mean it doesn't pay very
long to if you think about how you kind of
conduct yourself in your own life. We all say things
that you regret, and I think that's the beauty of
the show. I mean, if you had five triangles and
everyone got along swimmingly, I mean, it'd be very boring
for it quickly so and twy it's so spicy.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Well, the next next episode I'm waiting for is coming
up on Sunday and it's what is it, the couple's
party or something and you're all together and all I've
seen from the primer is that you've had a crack
at one of the other couples and said you're annoying,
and I'm like, here we go, bring it online.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Do you know what? Yeah, you're right, and in out
of context, sorry that that looks really bad because up
to now, I mean I quite like the look of that. Lady.
Chloe is the girl that you know you're talking about there,
and I mean she's you know, she's really likable and everything.
You'll soon find out why I'd say what I did.
(05:54):
But yeah, just out of fresh air, it looks like,
oh God, here we go again. This bloke just can't
help me.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
We're gonna have to leave it there. We're gonna have
believe there loving what Mike Gunner.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
He is on Love Triangle, on Stand Money go and
check it out money Camp.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
You don't love it
