Speaker 1 (00:00):
Say this neighbor, Marny has got a pretty bad neighbor. Yeah,
after discovering something in his backyard, right, he has.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
This homeowner sheddy shock after discovering his neighbor had been
directing his rain water into their tank.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Hoping you can help me with this one. He's the
back of my beach house. I've got a goal there
roof and just on the edge. We have a gutter.
Where's the gutter a bit dirty? We have a downpipe?

(00:40):
A downpipe. He's going to a bloody tank on the
neighbor at the back.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Oh maney, So okay. So he's connected a down pipe
to his neighbour's actual gutter to get the russ to
go into his tank.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Sneaky bucker. And it's gone right along the wall. It's
almost indiscoverable because it comes under the Oh wow.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
So he's pinching his neighbour's actual runoff rain to go
into his tank.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
That is sneaky.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
That is sneaky because it's under the gutters.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah. Wow, he's coming and found it and gone sneaky bugger,
what is happening? But no, no, water is a thing.
It is a thing because we had it happened to us.
At our Logan Village property when I was growing up,
we had a dam down in front of the property
and the neighboring property had a small nursery and we
could hear this noise of a night time and we

(01:34):
couldn't figure it out. So my dad stayed up one
night and when the noise kicked in, it was a pump.
So what the neighbor had done was he same thing
connected this hose and pipe thing from his property over
to our dam, and he was siphoning water out of
our dam for his own little nursery. So I can
imagine the conversation with my step dad over the fence
line and see it when he found out what Because

(01:55):
we were waking up here because you can hear a
pump go right like and only one who has property
and dams, you'll not. You could hear the pump kicking
in and out and clicking, and it was like, what
is going on? And our dam's going down for our
horses and livestock. Yeah, our mate was stealing the water
from our damn.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
It's like, dude, here he goes.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
A bit dirty. We have a downpipe, a downpipe. He's
going to a bloody tank on the neighbor at the back.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Sneaky Gregg's in Lagan Petty's thing your neighbors have ever done?
Just don't swear, please.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah, I know what a problem? Good?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
What do you do for us?

Speaker 4 (02:39):
When I was living down the Mornings Peninsula in Victoria
years ago, growing up, we had a neighbor and he
was just a yeah, let's just say one of those
pieces of work. We asked him the trimmy trees because
we're overhanging our fence and if hard to sort of
walk up and down the sideway. So we'd ask him
for about two or three weeks and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I'll get to it. Nothing ever done. So Dad says,
all right, stuff this, I'm go to cut it myself.

(03:00):
So we've got the chainsaw and just leveled it right
level with the fence and then throw all the branches
over his fence. Yeah, that afternoon he comes in knocking
on our door trying to bust it off.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
What are you doing throwing trees on my lawn?

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Blah blah blah.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
They're on your side of the fence.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
They use you, just both of them and everything else.
But instead of picking them up, he drove fifteen to
twenty minutes down to the beach to pick up his
kids to bring them back to clean it up.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Oh, got his kids.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
He's the best bity by trade. He's a treelopper.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Ah.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Then you know what they say, though the builder's house
is always the worst.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
I had half a brain cell. He'd be lonely, I
guess it.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Oh the look fence line staff, No, my dad had
it with his neighbor. You know, have the little lawn
strip in between at the front without the fence. They
got so upset about. Similar to Greek story, there greg
the same thing that they got so petty that he
would know his one little side of this strip and
leave dads. And then it was growing, and then it
became a competition as to who could leave it the most,

(04:10):
like it gets trees and grass and create all sorts
of problems.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Now Donna's on the line. Donna, you're the petty neighbor.
What what have you done?

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Years ago, we had a shed road and sposed to
close the gate because there's live stocks, you know, kid,
and someone kept leaving the gates.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Pain.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
So I decided that it was going to make it
so hard Toman, dig it out. I put the chain
around the gate that but they couldn't undo it. Ah, Donna.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Petty, I understand, Well, isn't it on properties? If it's open,
you can leave it open. If it's closed, make sure
you close right like that is a respect when you
enter someone's property. So don so what happened? How long
were they stuck there?

Speaker 5 (05:06):
Don I don't know?

Speaker 4 (05:08):
If kids

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Don't care, Petty Neighbors
