Speaker 1 (00:00):
Andy Goolay from Red Frogs joins us. Good morning, Hello, Andy.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good morning. How you going guys?
Speaker 3 (00:05):
Well?
Speaker 1 (00:05):
Mates, Well, it officially kicks off tomorrow morning, but loads
of kids head into the coast. Now, how's everything going.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yeah, Gray, We've just bumped in ten thousand pancake shakers
and seven tons of frogs, and all our Red frogs
are too, about five hundred and fifty of them getting
ready with their walking shoes through those three thousand walk
homes we do over SCHOOLI. So yeah, preparations going really well.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Have kids arrived yet or is it more the influx
will happen tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yeah, they may not all come tomorrow. So the check
ins and all the nervous parents arrive dropping off their
schoolies down there, and we've got teams at all the
buildings having with the check ins, and also do the
councils on a great job down there getting that beach
back over the last few months with that big pumping station.
So there's a beach for the schoolies to dance on
this year, which is great.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Oh that is yeah, Yeah, a lot of nervous parents,
as you said, made any advice for the parents.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yeah, load them up with food. You know the amount
of rooms you rock into it is just one half
eit and apple and the fridge or something like that.
We get some food in them on your spaghetti by
a naise. But also water alcohol dehydrates you. So dehydration
is an issue. So buy some slabs of water and
send it down and put the Red Frog hotline in
their phone or the red Frog app so they can
get those pancakes to their rooms and also walk homes
(01:15):
they're feeling, you know, a bit uneasy at walking home
by themselves the probus and give a walk home and
eat some frogs on the way too, which is always
a bonus.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Mate. I think it's a wonderful idea that app and
you know, I think a lot of the times too
when the kids down there, Yeah they want to have
a good time, but knowing that they can reach out
to someone you know to give them help or if
they've got a friend who's having a few issues or something,
is a really good thing.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Mate, So well done, Yeah, thank you. And also to
the don't be afraid ring triple zero to the ambos.
Want to get that message out there because even if
your mate's underage, you won't get in trouble. If you ring,
you know, it goes to the ambos and they just
treat patients. So yeah, be really free to ring our
red Frog hotline, but also triple zero as well if
you make this into trouble.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
All right, Andy, And look it's Queensland this week and
then New South Wales the week after, right.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Correct, Yeah, it's two ways for us. We've got a
second lot of frog it's coming in for week two
with all the New South Wales victorians. Also, Byron Bay
is a really big location, probably about seven eight thousand
there as well. And we've also got seven thousand schools
in Fiji, so we've got frog teams on those Fiji
islands right now in Bali, so yeah, they're spreading everywhere,
even Fraser Island. We've got four drive froggies this year
up there doing some frogging for the campus up there
(02:19):
as well.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Oh and we'll stay safe, have a great week.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Thanks you guys, appreciate it.
