Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tenure from Escu's on the Line morning Now. She won
a massive price from us a few months ago, Live
like a Dog. Hello, Tanya, how are you going?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Really good? Thanks canto ten years off to.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Bali on as many.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
We're shouting her, this is awesome, Tania. But you rang
to say that, yes, you've organized your time and you're
going and to let us know, and you're excited to go.
But you also told us something else, which was.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Originally I had a girlfriend was coming with me, but
her circumstances have changed and she can't make it anymore.
And I didn't think that was a good enough reason
for me not to go. So I'm going by myself.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Wow to Bally Eat.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Pray, love all over again. Tan, You're off, you go
love this, love this for you. So, yes, you're going
on your own? Okay, how do you feel about that?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well, it's not the first time I've done it.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Okay, Okay.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
About twenty years ago, I wanted to go to Hamilton
Island the Early Beach, and I just couldn't find anybody
to come with me. So I went by myself and
I just had the best time. I met so many people.
I realized when I was on the flight going over
that everyone's going to Hamilk Nyland. I've probably got a
chance of running into them someplace on the right. So
(01:13):
I sat next to a couple that were on their
honeymoon and I told them about my two you know
that the trips that I'd booked, and they come on
the tours with me, come out and so like, I
had drinks and dinner with them. It's really it's just
so nice.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
And what are you going to do in Balley on
your own?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I've got a few I've got I don't know. The
lobster dinner on the beach, might be a ride, or
the sunset seafood cruise, a lot of shopping and a
lot of massages and just some downtime and some sleeping.
And the best thing about it is you don't have
to say to your friend, what do you want to
do today? If you want to just sit in the
(01:53):
pool bar and drink cocktails all day, then you can
do that because you're not upsetting anybody else.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
This is true. You can plan exactly what you want
to do when you want to do what you said,
and if you're a bit tired, you can go and
have a rest you can get up and do things
when you want to do them and very cathartic. I
think to have some time out on your own with
yourself and just after you tenure. Yes, I love that.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
And this, this might inspire you to tenure.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
This I expecting ring for you to do and that.
Thank you. It looks so hot today.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
You might meet because everyone's name.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
But yeah, I've had a lot of people say, well,
you might meet somebody. I'm like, you know, that's not
what I'm going for. I really don't want that to happen.
I'm very happy single. Yeah, yeah, but I'm really a
little bit of anxiety over it because I'm leaving in
the morning. But you know, once I get on that flight,
I'm in holiday mode and my sixth nights to myself
(02:55):
courtesy you guys. I haven't had to payper so just spectacular.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Oh good.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
When you get back, you let us know how it goes.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
WI money for sure. Yeah, I'm happy for you.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
That's so wonderful.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, fantastic money. We've got so many other callers calling
in on things they've done on their own. Jim is
calling us from Sydney, listening to us on the iHeartRadio
app How are you, Jim?
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Good? Thanks? Mate yourself very well?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
What have you done on your own?
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Well, it started about twenty six years ago. I moved
over to Canada to get married and got divorced and
then spent thirteen years in Canada and then thirteen in
the up by myself.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Ah. Yeah, that's a big thing, living overseas huge.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Oh definitely, which one?
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Did you prefer?
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Canada by a mile Canada?
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, I've never been.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
I loved you by myself.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Oh, good on you, Jim, Thank you for sharing. That's huge.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yeah. And like Kenya as she said, you know, it's
like you don't have to answer to anybody. If you
want to have a bad day in or go out,
don't be afraid, just that and enjoy yourself exactly.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
It is a real art to actually be by yourself,
especially if you have had partners. I said that to
you before. Like for me, I've had very long term relationships.
Always having there was always something, you know, and you
have to consider the other person. And yeah, but being
on your own it is actually very Yeah. And kids, well,
I mean I have my kids. I'm not on my own,
but yeah, liberating to go and do something just on
your own.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
What are you doing in Sydney, Jim And we're happy
that do us? On Myheart Radio?
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Oh we lovely at but yeah, me and my mate Steve,
we're down here doing some promo work for a concept
for disability travel and there's no nothing like it in
Australia at the moment. So what we're looking at doing
is going around different parts of the country and hopefully
the world. And yeah, good on it.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
That's wonderful.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Ruthie's online, Ruthie, what have you done?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Hello?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
What have you done on your own?
Speaker 4 (04:50):
One of the things that I've done for many years
is renovate on my own by well.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Marty does that?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
I do? I do.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
I don't as much of it now, Ruthie, because I've
got kids and I don't have the time to do
what I used to do. But it's not an easy
thing to do. It's not because there's a lot of
things that I don't know. But you do find out
pretty quick, don't you, Ruthie, when you're on your own?
All right, You're amazing. Thank you.
