Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ribonnight for nine money and Campo for breakfast. There's the rain.
Marn Poor Old Casey Barnes at Woodstock Farm on Saturday
night TCD.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
A torrential downpour. When we spoke to him, bring yourself
a pon show.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Well, the security wouldn't let people have umbrellas. Okay, So
I'll tell you what. You know what the thing about
people from Ipswich, and I saw plenty of them there,
they love the rain. When there's a country music festival
all the mud.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
They're used to it. You go to rodeos and stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
There's I couldn't see the stage. It was that pouring down.
I'm sitting there. I couldn't hear it. It was that loud,
poor Old Casey in the background.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
But you can't help the weather. And we've all been
to things or functions. I remember when my mom got married.
You got married at home and they lived near a
park down Picky Point, and we had the whole thing
set up and so forth, and it was like this
rain event that came through. Sure, So we had one
hundred people literally under mum's pagola. We couldn't move. People

(01:10):
were tripping over, there was water, we were flooding. People
had buckets and we often say every time Mum plans
an event, diet mum, because we know what happens. It
doesn't matter. We will have had no rain and it'll flood.
People couldn't get in. We had to have people going
parking in all different streets. They will walk the same deal, umbrellas,
shoes were off by no one even had shoes on.

(01:31):
I don't know Mum did have shoes on. When they
got married in the bloody garage.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Legends of Country of Mount tambour I thought, Oh, they're
going to call it off any minute. No, No, just
kept going in there. Yeah, I love it. Michael's into
woman game. Mike, here you go, mate, good, very well,
thank you. When's it poured? Where have you been?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Just recently Yokohama for the World triumph On event, it
absolutely buckled down all day while the racing was on,
and and as soon as it finished, the rain just disappeared.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
How are your times?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I've been a technical official, so the athletes had to
put up with it, but we had to stand out
in the whole time during the event, so it wasn't
much fun at all.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Imagine yeah, wow, ned on then mate. What an event though,
that'd be huge.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, it's good fun. I've been doing it for a
lot of years and yeah, the last three events that
I've been to it's absolutely bucketed down.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
But are there any injuries?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Are there slip?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Is there slipping on the on the bitumen and stuff
like that? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
There is generally with the professionals and that they they've
got a lot better bike skills and stuff like that,
but they do still come down because they're pushing the
limits the whole time.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah. Yeah, Oh well, that's awesome mate, Thanks for sharing.
Jeremy's in ben Lee. Hey Jeremy, how you going mate?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Good guys, how are you going good?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Where have you been when it poured?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
We were at Geroine National Park going a bald Rock.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Kids were maybe five.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
And six, I think well of them had a green
stick fracture on their arm.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
You can walk up the nice, gentle slope.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
We got to the top of photos and then the
heavens open and right we'll go down the shortcut, which
is down the face of bald Rock. Now that's granite,
and you know how granite gets when it gets wet
and slippery? Is anything, and we're shimmying down crab like
and the sheets of water cascading off of the rock

(03:32):
itself absolutely trucked down until we got to the car
and then.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
It stopped ding me.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
So it's an urban legend in our family how we
almost swam down ball group.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah it was a new water slide, isn't.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
It like it was seriously slippery. But anyway, kids enjoyed
themselves and would it's.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Family, it is.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Man, I'm I'm glad you're all okay, but yeah, we
know you get stuck it exactly. No more family trips.
Every time you go to mention, Remember that time we
went out.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Now that and guess what happened When Casey Barnes set finished,
It stopped. No, it didn't get pouring
