Does that mean like when you go to the RSL
and someone wins the meat tray and literally if they
don't get up in one second, everyone goes reddy. Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yeah, so I'm pretty sure it's me. In fact, like
as the minutes stick by, I know it's me because
we got a ticket. We never get a ticket. This
is our first time getting a ticket, and that's kind
of how these wins always happened. Like someone goes, oh,
I never get one.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
I just was driving past, right, so that's my last day.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
We're in the Adelaide metro area where the mystery ticket
apparently has been sold.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
That it was the metro area all of Oulad. I think.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
So we're not registered because we don't do this, so
and this person's not a registered.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Person brought it in person or on an app or.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
No, no, no, no, we went in apparently, oh yeah,
which is what we did because we don't know tech,
neither my husband nor I.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
The app might have been a stretch for you.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
And what about the fact no Joe what about the
fact that, without even speaking to each other, this is
how my husband and I want to go into our weekend.
And I said, Babe, just so you know, there's one
winner from Powerball and they're from South Australia. Dot clearly
that's us. He replies, oh boy, wowee. Sorry, I didn't
tend the lights off last night. But on the plus side,

I did just win. It's the Powerball, so he's also
very confident.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
That's good. It's nice that he's used that to redirect
your anger, because we know how much you love the
lights being left on.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
And I said, I knew last night, but I just
wanted to go to bed with the possibility that we
are the winners. And I said, when are we going
to check our ticket, at which point he said, let's
leave it as long as we can and if still
no winner, it pretty much has to be us. Okay,
So we are now going to go into our weekends
knowing that we're one hundred and fifty million bucks.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Richard. So if no one comes forward over the weekend,
can we can I look at your ticket next week? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Well, I'll give us the weekend of joy if you can, Like,
maybe I've got to get up at seven thirty. No,
I've got to get my kid to sport on Saturday
morning at seven thirty. I'm going to be able to
do that so much better knowing that I could be
one hundred and fifty million dollars richer.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
You know what's better than knowing you could be one
hundred and fifty million dollars richer being one hundred and
fifty million dollars and just having the cash.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
I know, but then I could also be the loser.
And that's the problem.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
All right, on Monday, if you bring your ticket in
and then I can do a review, Like I'll go
through and I'll look at the list and I'll be like, oh,
eleven was the Powerball? Ali, You've got two drawers at
eleven in it.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
My heart rate's just gone up thinking about it.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
What are the chances of winning again?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I like eighty gazillion into nothing like chance by lightning,
hand car at the same time or something.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
You say, stupid numbers, but for once, I actually, yeah,
it's me.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
I have not won anything since I won the Fruit
Trap like way back in nineteen ninety six.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Great, I can't wait to bring it out a Monday. Great. Wait,
you guys both win one hundred and fifty million dollars.
How much you're giving each other on the count of three, one,
two three, a million dollars. I was gonna say, no,
that's what you did. That's exactly what you said.

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary.
