Speaker 1 (00:01):
Wake up with Robin and Kip.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's Robin and Kif on Kiss ninety seven to three.
Now we've got a full studio this morning, rowin our PI.
Dave from Ostrace Investigations is here, and also the lovely
Tammy who contacted us a few days ago asking for
help to find her dad.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Tammy, how are you feeling a bit nervous but okay
but excited? Yeah, because we sent Dave on his mary
Way to find some information out for you. And the
reason why we've both got you in the studio is
that Dave has some information.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
So the eyebrowser up to the eyebrowser up. I mean,
when you spoke to us and you asked us to
try and find your father, what were you expecting? What
you were anticipating?
Speaker 3 (00:44):
To be honest, I never anticipated an outcome really, So have.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
You done your own investigations?
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I did a lot of research, probably for about ten years,
basically by what mum had told me. But again, the
countrytown that I grew up in is very close.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Who's minded? And I never come up with anything.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
And have you been back to that country town?
Speaker 6 (01:04):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:05):
I do, because my family have deceased in there, and
I go back regularly to see the cemetery and so forth.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
So yeah, okay, you are here by yourself, are you okay?
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Because you know, regardless of what we're going to tell you,
it's a big deal.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
This is my twin brother did try, but he's just
come off sickly from being sick, which I wasn't aware of.
And my husband owns a business and had too many
appointments up the.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yeah is that the name of his business.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
So just quickly recap before we let Dave talk.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
You are one of a twin. You were in a
small country town. And what else about your dad?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
He was married b he also had children. See, mum
worked with the wife, which mum wasn't aware of at
the time. She realized he was married with children, and
she actually worked with the wife when they the lady
opened the locker door and seeing the family photo, and
once the information was released, then they basically left town.
(02:07):
And how old was your mum eighteen with twins. She
didn't know she was having twins until she gave birth.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Oh my god, that's worse.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Wow, that's crazy. That's what used to happen is amazing.
And you were largely raised by your grandparents who told
us that earlier.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, Nanny and Poppy took us over basically because Mom
was so young. Nannie died when we were three, and
then it was Poppy from basically there on in. I
would never ever change my life in that context because
Poppy made my twin brother and I into who we
are today.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
So the expectation moving forward.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Is what if he doesn't want to meet, that's fine,
but a picture of at least I can see, because
I have been told my twin brother looks like him.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Right, So you've never seen a picture anything, not even
a picture?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Okay, well let's bring in PI. Dave. Hello, Dave. You've
been listening to all this. I've been quietly.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Standing in the corner on your microphone. What can you
tell me?
Speaker 6 (03:00):
So, what I can tell you today is that I
have located your father. However, he died in twenty fourteen,
so nearly ten years ago he died. Unfortunately, I know
that's sad. I'm sorry to break that to you, but
he has deceased.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Here you going tell me?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
I have anticipated that might be the answer. Really, Yeah,
because mum was only eighteen and he was married and children,
so I figured he will probably ten or whatever years
older than mum.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
I mean at the end of the day, I am fifty.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
So yeah, and your mum is still alive but not well.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Yeah, she is still alive but not well.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Okay, okay, so you were prepared for Yes, I still
might be dead.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, you're quite amazing. I'm kind of more like my
heart's beating so much. Yeah, but you're okay, Yeah, okay.
And so ten years ago, Dave, do you know what happened?
Do you know anything about.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
Look, I don't like to speculate about these things. There's
no certain answer that I have to you. I believe
it was cancer, but again it's yeah, that's something that's
certainly not one hundred percent on that, and I don't
like to give you that information as concrete, but there
is some indication that it was cancer from some various
posts that I've seen.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Mind you, though, if that's your dad, you'd want to know,
right Well, that's why my son would like a family history.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
So if there's anything medical we need to be a
hero of because I already know dementia is in the
family on my mother's side, because my uncles and Arnie's
three of them have Alzheimer's and dementia.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
But I don't know the other side.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Okay, Well, I wasn't sure how you were going to react,
to be honest, and I wasn't sure.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Do you need to break Do you need to process that?
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Good?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Yeah, because we do have some more information.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
So further those searches, I've identified that your father did,
in fact have three children, which are three males. One
of them is still living in that general sort of
area that you've nominated, one of them is recently moved overseas,
and another one has also moved into state. So there
is three half siblings, all aged in their sort of
(04:58):
mid forties, I guess.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Which is interesting, Tammy, because it means that you were
told that he left town with children, right, Yes, they
weren't these children? Oh these children were born after you?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Oh yeah, that would make sense.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Was there any evidence of that of him having a
family before these three.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
No, there wasn't. There was no indication from what we
could identify that there was any prior children. These are
the only three children that are registered to him, and
his wife is all His current wife is also still alife.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Do you know if they left town?
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Do you know that if that part of the story
because Tammy was told as soon as a mum found
out she was pregnant, he left town.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
Yeah, that is correct.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
There is a number of addresses that we've associated LinkedIn
with in that general area, from that rural sort of
New South Wales. He has moved the number of times,
so there is some certainly some evidence in that regard.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
So Tammy, you thought that perhaps he had kids before you,
and you've also you got a twin brother. Yeah, So
how do you feel finding out that you've got three
step brothers that you know they're half brothers?
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Yeah, my heart is racing.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah, but I don't anticipate them to meet us in
any way theype or form.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Would you like to do?
Speaker 2 (06:13):
You feel like if they was able to give you
the information or at least tell you the names of
your brothers, Ye, would you consider contacting them?
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Would you like to make definitely?
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah, yeah, because at least then, as my son would
trans say, you put a name to face and if
they choose not to continue that then that's up to them.
Then at least I've got that chapter of my life
then I can actually close the door on. But I mean,
if something comes positive about it. I'm all for that
as well.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
So when you reach out to them, yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
Definitely, I'm more than happy to provide the information that
we find. And just on that temmy, we have a
number of photographs of your alleged sort of step brothers
and also of your father before he passed away. So
there is some photographs that I can give to you.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Tell me do you want them?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
I'd definitely like a photo of my father. I've been
told my twin brother resembles him.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Do you want them now? Yeah, because Dave's got them seriously, seriously.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
Yeah, happy to pass those along to you.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
And so we've just handed a file.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yeah, he resembles my brother really, yes?
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Oh wow, what are you thinking, mate?
Speaker 3 (07:18):
I'd like to reach out and see if they wish
to communicate.
Speaker 5 (07:23):
Doesn't mean to translate they want to see me.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
But look at you? Yeah, how are you feeling excited?
Speaker 5 (07:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (07:29):
Really, that's so good.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
I wasn't sure if you kind of I mean, that's
a lot you're looking at your dad.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I can safely say yes, my brother definitely resembles him
without a doubt.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
But they have similar features to my twin brother.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Yeah, the boys do. Yes, I mean when you came
in here.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
You said, you know, a worst case what you'd love
is to get a photo. Yes, and that's great.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
And we've been able to give you that. Yeah photo.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yes you can see your dad. I mean that's pretty
incredible for a lot of people to think that, you know,
you've never seen in an image.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Of your father.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Well, Tammy, here you go.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Yeah. Sorry, it wasn't all good news, but at least
it's news.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Right, I've got more information than I've ever thought I
dreamed of.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, there you go. Yes, he's good, he's one over here.
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
Wake up with Robin and kid.
