Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to the Robin and Kit podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Kip wants to see whether he was manshamed and whether
this guy was justified. So thirteen one oh six y five,
if you want to be part of the ruling party.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Yes, I'd like just a quick jury, honest answers of
whether you think this bloke overstep the mark. Because we
went to Naomi and Sienna and I seenas ten weeks old,
and she's obviously in a pram and the bassinette. So
we went we're having a meeting with our builders who
are going to build a house for us, and right
next to them as a cafe. So we went early
enough to have lunch first, and I helped out with
(00:37):
the car, obviously putting the pram together, put Sienna in
the pram, and then I walked in first to the
cafe to ask the guy that's stand near the door, hey,
can we get a table for three or two with
the pram? And behind me Naomi was trying to get
into the cafe and there's a step, a regular sized
step I'm going to say twenty to twenty five centimeters high,
(00:58):
and he the guy has then gone, oh, you're not
going to help her? And has sort of pushed me
out of the way to get to the pram to
help lift the pram up over this one step which
all required of her to do was lift up the
front wheel the front wheel and go forward. No, and
I sort of said, no, I'm not helping her because
she's not useless, right, oh wow? But then then he helped,
(01:23):
and then she looked at me like, why is this
random guy helping me and not you? And I felt
so I was really ashamed of it, and I was like,
but if I was pushing that pram, I don't need help,
and she didn't need help, she can just put it
up over it. He made this big deal out of it.
I'm a big hero. And now I feel like a yes.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Those it's interesting because you've all been triggered, right, So
Naomi doesn't want some random person helping her, and if
he hadn't moved, she wouldn't have got angry at you.
I'm guessing I don't think I'm not assisting her.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yes, I think he made the trouble in that moment.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
She then felt embarrassed and just looking at you, going,
why am I having to deal with some stranger holding
my baby's Pram. Yes, he's for whatever thing is going on,
is feeling triggered that he's trying to be some chivalrous
guy and that's making everything better? Yes, and so that's
triggering you. Who's making you feel that you're useless? Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
So my question is should I be ashamed or should
or is he wrong?
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Okay, well let's let's see Eric of Karina Heights, what
do you reckon? Yes or no?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
When I heard his voice before you asked for some
help in the jury, I actually didn't believe and I
thought he was lying. I have to hearing that. I'm
ashamed that that bloody baby didn't speak or at least
a wife. You know, I thought that's for a place.
It's not your place, right, She's the woman with the
prime and the wheel step.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Okay, well I've spoken like a true irishman, Eric, Thank you.
Steph of Ormiston. Should keep feeling man shamed.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
No, definitely not. I think Naomi, if she wanted help,
would have asked for help. Yes, I agree, and I
think it just got blown completely out of portion. You
are you should not feel manshamed at all, Thank.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
You, Steph.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Wow, I thought Seph was going to go and me
actually spring with what do.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
You think should feel Manshamed?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
No, okay, no, I think that it's just yeah, glowing
up a portion and don't feel ashamed.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
GiB thank you. Okay, let's stay out of it. Cafe guy.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Okay, well everyone's on your side so far. Helen, have
read them? Bay, what do you reckon?
Speaker 5 (03:25):
Oh? No, kid, Definitely you should have helped. You shouldn't
have even thought about anyone else. Happeling very rude, Kip, Sorry.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
He really?
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Yeah? Really?
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Why Helen? Because I'm I'm Kip on this one. I
feel that if Naomi could have just gone, have baby,
can you pull the front of the pram? Like I
find when people help me unassisted, it's irritating because the
assumption is I can't do it.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Yes, No, I'm sorry. He should have. He should have
helped her, And if she didn't want to help him,
she could have said I'm right, but that would would
have been his first instinct help, you're right.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
She didn't say I'm right, you're right, That's true, she did.
She did accept the help gracefully.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Well well from the random guy.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
From the random guy.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
But if you guys coming over and pulling up the
front of your pan, what are you going to do?
I'm okay, thank you. That's then another situation where everyone's
feeling awkward. Yes, my guess is knowing Naomi, she was
more embarrassed by a stranger coming and helping her, and
that made her angry, yes, rather than the fact you
didn't help her.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Right, Yes, I think so. Yes, But for the sake
of
Speaker 2 (04:26):
This argument and because it's a free pilot, yes, you
are so right.
