Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to the Robin and Kid podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Well, I have noticed that. Well, for example, you did
you trip down to Armadale for cultures and you went solo? Yes,
And I'm sure there was another thing you did recently
and you went solo for that, or you went with
your girlfriends, And there's been a distinct lack of waffle
talk right show.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
The guy that I was dating for eight months was
wow dating. Here is the thing. He is still trying
to sort out his settlement and divorce right, and I
don't feel there's a place for me in that right
while that happens. And that's out of utter respect to

(00:47):
his ex, to him and to me. Right it's one
of the hardest things. Honestly, I've been through a lot
of hard stuff. But when you're so enjoy someone incompatible
with them and just love hanging out with them, we
have so much fun together. But that is a part
of him that I am not. I do not need

(01:09):
to be a part.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Of this process. Absolutely, So what is this then you're
on a break?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I don't know. I've just said that for me, and
it's so interesting. Whenever I tell people this, they kind
of don't get it. But I do you get it?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I'm not sure. So what do you do? Are you
still talking? What do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I'm not We have contact a bit, but it's mostly
like on email and stuff. I haven't seen him, right
because I think I don't want to be a weapon
or an excuse in a divorce settlement. I don't want
to be the person on the other side just waiting.
That's not cool. And you know what's interesting though, and

(01:49):
again this potentially goes down gender lines, or maybe it doesn't.
I'm a very unique beast. I've spent years working through
my crap so that when I got online, I was
like ready for dating, for dating all of my you know,
I've resolved a lot of stuff. But what I've learned is,
and it is a lot of guys. And you admitted
to this to me, that a lot of blokes just

(02:10):
want to shut down their past. Yes, not think about it,
push it under a rug and get on.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, close that book, let's open a new book.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
You can't do that if you've been in a relationship
for decades, and out of respect to his.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Ex, I don't want to do that, right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
And I don't even know her, but I genuinely feel
like I need to move in my space, okay, and
let him resolve his because he's got to make decisions
for him, not based on him being with me. That's
not cool, right, Okay, do you understand that.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I do. But it's also you only get one life
and you're going to chunky your life without him and
miss him and all that. Yeah, I do.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, heaps like we you know, we would run along
the beach. We do everything we do, like eighty percent
of the relationship is amazing. I love being on the
back of his bike. I missed this huge veterans fundraiser
on Saturday because I just feel like he needs to
sort that out with her, and he's got kids and stuff,
and I want them to not see me as some

(03:08):
other woman.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, but it well and truly broken up. When you guys,
mat it's not that there was Yeah, it wasn't long.
It was like you Yeah, it was quick, look like
a couple of months, a few months.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah, but you know that that TV show we're both
talking about on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Nobody wants this, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Number one show. Like he only broke his engagement up
for like a day a day and then he meets
this other woman. So then I'm going maybe I'm the
anomaly here, am the weird one.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
No, I mean that is I think it is unusual
to be able to go okay, this is going to
be It's going to be better to at the very
least take a break. It will maybe even end it,
rather than be in an imperfect situation.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Well, I just don't feel like he needs to come
to me when he's one hundred ready and not with
baggage that could potentially hurt our relationship. I could be
being the idiot here, and I'm very open to other
people weighing in if you could get past Luke holmb's and.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I know we've got a lot of people calling for
Luke HOLMBS tickets because we are going to give them
away within the next half hour. But yeah, if you
do have an opinion whether or not is it the
right decision, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Okay, well I'm going to give you because I know
how your brain works, to me for hours to cowl
over that. All right, good, one question and look what happens.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
I know we've got emotional I didn't, Yeah you did. Okay,
it's robinin on Brisbane's Kis
