Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to the Robin and Kid podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Kip on the phone because he had a very very
busy evening. So what happened, Kip? You've had your beautiful
little baby.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yeah, so Monday night, we you know, you guys know,
we just sort of finished the show on Monday and
we went on with life as normal because the baby
was a four months away. And then Monday night and
about ten to Midnightnaomi woke me up and said, I've
got a lot of fluid around me right now, and

(00:40):
I've gon okay, cool and sort of got out and
said it and it's still coming out and it was
just clear. And we said, okay, that sounds like that
sounds like your waters are broken. But we thought, oh,
this is way too early, so we called we called
the Hot doctor Rob and like the Champion years, he
actually entered the phone at midnight yeah and said, yes,

(01:01):
that's it sounds like your waters are broken. He said, look, ideally,
that's it's too early, and we'll probably, you know, if
we can, we'll try and do some things to make
to sort of hold the labor off for you know,
for up to a week or so. And but you know,
when you pack your bags to head into the to

(01:21):
the martin. Now probably assume that you're not going to
be coming back home like so packed, like you're going
to be staying and that there's a baby coming.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
So were you okay, kid, because I mean a month
is still like very feasible obviously, and it's I mean,
but this is Nami's first baby.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, oh look it was. We were we were very Yeah,
you know, we were praying. Well, we were very nervous
because it was so early, and you know, we we
you know, it was an IVF baby too, so we're
you know, there's a's out of risks with all those things,
and so yeah, we were. We were very stressed. But
but you know, you know what it's like the marta,

(02:00):
they're so good. We got here and everyone sort of
calumnderstand and said, look, this is fine, and the baby's
baked and he doesn't have the general you know, the
amount of fat that we like to have on a baby,
but everything else is fine, and it should be as
long as it's sort of over two kilos, you should
be able to even take it into the room with
you as soon as we have it. And and you know,

(02:23):
if it's under two it might have to go to
the nursery for a little bit, but let's see what happens.
So that was so that was the general vibe. Yeah,
so it was. It was, it was full on and
it was yeah, there was. We didn't sleep at all
obviously that night because because Doctor Rob didn't arrive until
like the morning because he had a couple of caesars

(02:45):
already booked and did so wasn't it?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Did Naomi contract at all? Like did things start to happen?
Oh wow, yeah and direlight and all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah. Yeah, so they came to do a little because
at start it was just the water broken, but it
was not really anything anything else happening. And then but
then when she started getting some serious cramps and then
they went to check the dilation and the midwife said,
oh she's gone, yeah, you're you're a couple of centimeters
and I think I just saw like a head of

(03:16):
hair so.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
The baby had dropped. Everything was good to go, Oh
my good yess. So what happened?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Well, so yes, so Dr Rob. As soon as that happened,
Doc Rob said, okay, well you know we're on We're
having a baby this morning. And at eight twenty seven
popped our little baby girl.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I know, me screaming into the microphone drives everyone insane,
but I am so excited.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, yeah, thank you. We were so happy, like it
was you know, we were gonna be happy with anything,
but we really really wanted the girl. RAFFI really really
wanted a sister. And yeah, so we were absolutely.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Thrilled, So so Caesar in the end, that was an
elective Caesar.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yeah, it was yep. And and two point three three
kilos so well.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
And truly cooked, yeah well and.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Truly cooked, so so tiny, but but absolutely fine for
her to come to the room with us. And so yeah,
we're in our little we're in our little cocoon room
and she's sleeping in the little pod next to us
and all and all that and doing fine and well.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
And how's Naomi?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
She's great? Yeah, she was. She was a champion, which
is very un brown for her.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Did you fall apart? Now?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Was that band for you? I will say when I
when I walked over to you know, to cut the cord,
and and Nomi is getting sewed up, and they said,
you know, this is this is your look, this is
your little baby girl. I did I broke down. I
cried over Yeah. I was just absolutely so excited and
and the stress, like you know, going through that through

(04:59):
the sea as well, there's that moment of like there
was about I don't know, three or four minutes where
all you can hear is grunting on the other side
of this curtain and it's not the baby cool rob Yeah,
and we're sitting there going, okay, well it's months early,
and we don't know, and and then you know, why
aren't we hearing crying and and so so once you know,

(05:21):
once we knew she was okay, it was just like
this huge flood of relief and happiness.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah, okay, so I of course, what's the name?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
I want to know? We still haven't chosen, right, Is.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
That just on purpose for the radio show? Because you
know damn well that I have to spend the next
three days coming up with the perfect name for a
little girl? I know.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
We actually were seriously needed help. We're like, this is
we were just weren't we weren't ready for this, like
we just we only just you know, the how we
just we had no plan for this. We had to
call Susan, our friend who lives down the road. At
midnight to get her to come and sleep at our
house on Monday night, because.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
You know, Sylvia and Paul are up on the Sunny coast,
your brothers on the Sunny coast.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, we just had none of this. We were not
ready for this at all. So yeah, we don't. We've
got Yeah, we're putting together a finalist. We want to
get it done, like hopefully today or tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
But you do it after show tomorrow. I'll come up
with a great listen name.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I would love. I would love some suggestions because we're like,
I don't know, we're going I'm googling African names. I'm
trying to find anything. I'm just desperate at the moment
we're trying to find Okay, Okay, we can do it.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Before Ali went away, you gave her some suggestions, just
wondering the hammer or Kron.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
This is my beautiful daughter, Cooper Kron.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Okay, so thirteen one O six five. We need some
really cool baby names. We're also going to play the
five K word play, so let's get that out of
the way. Yeah, let's see if we can get some
people suggestions and the other thing I need to talk
to you about, which we can do before eight thirty
