Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to the Robin and Kid podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
You think my whale theories are insanity, that our whales
that are cruising up and down the Sunny coast are
reacting to Daryl Braithwait's song the Horses. But thankfully our
Gordy who comes on after us, does not think that
is the case. Well, maybe he does, but this is
what he said yesterday.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Did you hear this go down on Robin and Keith
this morning?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Right?
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Robin was whale watching.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
I thing I was up towards the Sunny coast and
they reckon. If you play Daryl Breathwaits the Horses the
whale surface more.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Wow, the horses is making whales breach? Yes, okay, sure, come.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
On, surely we could try and prove it.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Does it mean we all get to go out while watching. Yes,
I'll be part of that.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Then, And you can't come on my boat. Yes, unless
you're prepared to be open minded to the fact that
breach two horses.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
I'll be open minded idea.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
So like if anyone said Morton Bay or anything right now,
I'm going to just play this and see how we go.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I think it's working.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
The Big Gordy's backing you there, and here's someone to
add some weight to your theory.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Anika, good morning.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
God?
Speaker 4 (01:23):
Is here Gordy talking about what we're doing?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Oh yeah, I'm just listening to it, going my gosh.
If you hadn't told me that, I'd be sitting here
talking about Darryl Braceway, the horses and the wales.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
So what are you a skipper on the boat? What
do you actually do? Anika?
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yeah, so I'm a skipper on the swim with Wales boat.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
You're the person that Johnny said did all the research
last year and every time you played horses, the whales breached.
Is this correct?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah? Really correct?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
You're laughing as.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
You said, Is that because it's your Are you lying?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
No, I'm not even lying. So I guess it just
started off as one of these things where it's a
song on my playlist. The song actually has a lot
of personal significance to me. So it's just one of
those songs that I've always played and had happy memories with.
And then I started going, well, hang on, every time
I've played with this song, the whales come up next
(02:22):
to the boat, or they breach, or they play, or
they want to interact. So I just started playing it
much too, A lot of my crew going.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
No, not again, out again, not.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
The classes again, and yeah, last season in particular, it
worked every single trip.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
How many trips is that.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
We do about two trips a day and we do
it seven days a week, and that happens from July
till mid October.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
So we're talking like hundreds of times you tested this theory, correct.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
I actually went through all my footage the other week
and went through every single successful trip and was in
the background.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Wow, are there are other songs on your playlist that
get no response?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
We tried to incorporate any songs that mention the word
back so that we could all sing in the part
where we say hump back. So we tried back in
black yes, no akadaka no, justin Timberlake.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
To try backstreets back.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
No. Maybe that's the song of this.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Year though, okay maybe.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
So you've got a month to play it.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Wow, but it's worth trying to prove right? Oh, yes,
completely talking about you went through your videos? Have you
compiled that?
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Can we can? We get a hold of that and
put it up on our social media, will credit whoever
you like, We'll credit Sundry. Well, but that would be extraordinary.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Yeah, we definitely do have quite a bit of footage
that I'll send three to you guys success and deal
with the screaming and the Yeah, I'm.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Sure we can.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I work with Robin.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
I'm used to it. That's fine, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
So Anika, do you think that if we maybe and
I'll have to talk to Johnny about all this sort
of stuff, but maybe if we get a boat and
we can put fill it with our people, like, maybe
we could trial this and just see.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Oh, I'm sure we could definitely trial it.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Okay, and kid, are you still I mean, I'm prepared
to be open minded as long as we accept that
like backstreet, backstreets back may get a better response.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Oh look, you know, you can only try. You know
what the thing is too, So when wales sing, when
the males sing themselves underwater, each year, that song changes
just a little bit, but it actually crosses the globe
and it travels in a west to east direction. So
there could be humpback whales on the other side of
(04:54):
the world right now. That love Darryl bradswaite for horses,
and that side of the world just doesn't know about.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
It on well ships Yeah, playing Daryl Braithwait the horses.
Can I say, if we manage to nail this, I
will make it my mission. Yes where else do they
do well? Watching on the other side of the world.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Oh, look, you've got Hawaii.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
You go see. We can make this a global phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
We then, okay, if we're going to do a proper
global test, we should put it up against Journey. You
know from Journey just a small town girl, Okay, because
they search have to.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Have it something to compare it.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Okay, all right, there's the two comparisons. If we get better,
we've got a better response to Journey.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
We know that it's all bs.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Thank you so much, Thanks so much.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Okay, respond to Journey. Then we've at least proved that
they're responding to something.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
That they're into music.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Okay. There are three things that I'm going to do
in the next twenty four hours. I'm going to talk
to Johnny, who's one of the owners and operators at
sun Reef, and see if we can push this along.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Great.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Number two, I'm going to try and find someone scientific,
like someone who studies whales and understands whale behavior. Because
they're smart. Yes, okay, I see if we can have
a chat to them and three guys thirteen one oh
six five. If your animals respond to music, oh, I
(06:20):
don't care what kind of animal they are. Yes, they
can be a dog that sings. Huskies sing, they love
at the time.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
If you've got a husky that sings, tell us about
it thirteen one o six five.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Because I will prove to you that animals have an
emotional and physical and vocal response to music. So if
they do, why can't whale?
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Thirteen one I six five. Let's see the Robin and
Chip podcast. It's Robin and Kippen as we endeavor to
find out whether it's possible for wales to get excited
when they hear Dalel braithwaits the horses.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I'm not going to attach an emotion. They may be
jumping out of the water because they hate it.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Yes, that's right, reacting, Yes, excited in some way or other.
But we're asking about your animals. Do you have an
animal that gets excited or interacts with music?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yes, to prove that they have an emotional response to
a Christie of Evident Park. Hello, Hello, have you got
what kind of animal?
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Is it he was? He passed away earlier this year.
He was a little Maltese. Yeah, Phoenix, my mom's dog.
He would interact with two pieces of music. My mum
had has a clock that on the hour it make
it sings different beetle songs, right, and every time it
(07:37):
went off he would sing along. And then the second
one was Tainted Love. Anytime Tainted Love came on the radio,
he would start singing along to it. Yeah, he loved it.
Every time that it came on he would house it.
We tested it heaps of times, would like play it
(07:58):
on our phone, just just read wandomly and every time
he's about sinking along to it every time. While we
think he loved it, but now that you mention it,
maybe he hated it. He definitely interacted.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
So, Christy, do you think the whales will respond to
Daryl Breithwaite's horses?
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Thank you to your believer.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
You've seen it with your own eyes. All right, that's
all right, thanks Christy. Thirteen one oh six five is
our number. Fever you want to get involved with the show.
If you've got an animal that's into music.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
A rooster, a guinea pip, Sure, maybe your fish splashes.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
You're listening to the Robin and Kid podcast.
