Speaker 1 (00:12):
I heard podcasts year more Kiss podcasts, playlists and listen
live on the free iHeart app.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
It's Robin Kip now a choreo. It's on Kiss ninety
seven to three. Right, it's time to talk about the
elephant in the room, which.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
One it's very rude to call me an elephant.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I'll put a bit on the weekend, all that cheese
over the weekend. Rec No, you may have seen the
headlines last week and over socials over the weekend that
this show will not be coming back next.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Year, but we are here until the twelfth of December,
which I'm actually really grateful for, to be honest.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, it's unusual. It's very unusual in radio to find
out that your job is no longer happening next year
and for them to let you keep doing a show.
I guess they trust us.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, but there's nothing like being walked out of a
building with a cardboard box, which has happened twice before,
to make yes exactly, So like we should say we
were going to talk about it today, and I reckon
we should make a pact, but then we don't discuss
it again until the twelfth when we say goodbye.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Exactly. I mean, I think there'll be signs slop around,
maybe some cruise control over so we should say as well,
there'll be a lot of people wondering what's happening next year.
We don't know. We've been told that it's not Kyle
and Jackie O coming here next year, So I guess
we'll all find out next year, or you know, maybe

(01:37):
you won't listen ever again, which is fine by us.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
No, So, I mean, I guess the other big question
is what are you guys going to do. We've had
sort of a weekend to think about it and digest
it with our families and kind of I don't know.
I think you've done enough, Corey. I reckon you'll be
picked up somewhere in the media. I think people have
seen that you've got this whole other persona and that
manager of yours can start getting you some other work.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
You think, so he's currently oversee.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
You really needed right now?

Speaker 4 (02:10):
You know, when you need a guy just not there?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah? Do you reckon? You would you? I mean, you've
only had one year, and this is a rough year
because normally we always say this with breakfast shows, you
need two years to bed in and then that's when
they generally start becoming successful. Unfortunately, we haven't been given
that that amount of time. So this is a rough start.
You get one year in and then bang, you're out.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
I've lost two jobs in twelve months.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Great from the Broncos having the problem. If you were
playing for the Broncos, you would definitely you would be
the link.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Look, I'm just gonna see what comes. Maybe that's what
I could do on the next six weeks job seeker.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
We started, we were like, what do you want Corey
to do?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
And now legitimately what we're going to do. It's a
job again. We're going to do it again. What about
you roll a book? Yes? Okay, so that's why you
know I'm going to.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
This is probably it for me. I don't think I'll
get another radio contract, and that's heartbreaking because I love
this business and I really love you guys. And the
thing is that, having done this for so long, this
show had a bloody good chance. And I know that.
I know that for all the shows that I've worked
on which didn't, this one did. And it's a shame.

(03:37):
But I've got a book coming out, and I don't know.
Kind of scary to think I don't know how to
make money, but I just got to believe that something
will happen, something good. How about you, You're going to be.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
A dad, stay at home dad.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Just now.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
My dad said to me yesterday because is sick again.
He goes, why don't you just take a ount a
day care mate and you just look after a full
time And I think I would rather be dead. I
love that baby, but goodness, honestly, I'm going to learn
a trade.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Before daycare was something.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I don't know I'm going to do. So I don't
know what I'm going to do.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
But such a lie. You've been saying that's the dream,
stay at home down.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
No, I could do that with daycare.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, with the school of provided I'm doing and pick
up it's to day here. But yeah, we'll come up
with a plan the next couple of months, I guess.
Then we've got time, which is good. And so the
show is not going anywhere. Yeah, like you said, we'll
be on until mid December.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Please stay with us, Please tell your friends to stay
with us. We'd love to go out number one. It'd
be improve it.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
It'd be a great kick in the nuts if we
could finish our number one come on, let's do that.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Can we? So tell everyone you know, and we promise
we're not going to talk about all this stuff again,
like the last day, we will. Up until then, we'll
just do all the fun stuff that we've always done.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah,

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
