Speaker 1 (00:51):
It is the premium fashion event in Brisbane and this
year is particularly special because it is the twentieth anniversary.
This is the one chance you get to support our
local retailers and really see the forefront of fashion. And
it is so different from any other festival, Like you've
got to Sitney you see all that sort of stuff.
We are really unique and what this Fashion Festival does
(01:13):
is highlight the amazing designers that are here in our
fair city.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Can't wear footy shorts, singlet and pluggers, no, that's queensy.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
No. Although last year they did a dryer bone and
Shana Jacks wore her gold swimsuit and gold blunstone boots
which were with yeah. But anyway, you guys, every time
we talk about the fashion festival, you wax on lyrical
about it, and certainly that's what was happening yesterday. Tory
(01:44):
has got it in his head that he wants to
be a model and walk the cat No, you're not
wear I haven't seen such a bearded wonder like the catwalk.
It's always a curse. Nice.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I do like being comfortable.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Today we had that chat. I sent a text message
to Lindsay Bennett, who is the director of the Brisbane
Fashion Festival, and I said, the boys here are desperate
to walk the one runway at the BFF. Would that
be vaguely possible? Totally happy to shut them down if
you would rather not. Yes, guess who's joining us.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Good morning, Lindsay, Lindsay, that's how we're doing.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Good.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Are you ready to shut us down?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Well, look, be careful what you wish for now. Look
I don't normally do this, but it is our twentieth anniversary.
So after speaking with a Kill Kahan, who's the head
designer from Mandilo Luxury Suiting. Now they specialize in creating
custom design suits for women and men, you'll both get
the chance to walk for Menzilla, alongside other designers including
(02:55):
Easton Pearson, Julie Grabac, Juina Kim Poor Hunt, George Who,
dar Bright Acture, Sasha Drake, Rick Record. I mean the
list is endless than you're amongst that wowing. What did
you do to stand though? Yes, number one, this is
serious business to do a zoo Land to move at
(03:16):
the end of the runway. It's about making sure that
the media pit gets that right, the perfect shot, and
that that comes down to you exacinitely. You are representing
a leading Brisbane fashion house and this wonderful state of
Queensland that we all live in. And ultimately it's about
selling a custom design suit and creating so much excitement
(03:36):
to the Manzillo brand. So if you're up to it
from here, we're going to get you in for a
consultation with a Quill and the team from Manzillo. You'll
then have some fittings. Now I hear you heading over
to Vegas, so we'll have to probably do some fittings
when you get back as well. But Corey, you're a
big lad. I think you're around six foot fall from memory, yes,
and Kip, I think you must be what five or.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Eleven you're just under six foot yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Perfect. So look, during the week of the fest of All,
we're going to put you through some catwalk training with
Queensland's top choreographer, burned Deet badly because to be a
little bit of stagey and choreography were quiet. You started
to get better for your boys. And then on the
night you'll have your makeup done by a Sarto Cosmosceuty
girls and the hair created by Schwartzfe and then we'll
(04:25):
be ready to walk and model in front of an
audience of seven hundred people with cameras going out and
thousands more around the globe watching our live streams. So
it can be a little dawning, but I think you
guys are up for it for the challenge. You might
have the voice for radio boys if you've got to
walk for.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
The run way that I mean, well, thank you for coming.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
I really need to stop you boys to understand what
a massive deal this is. Auditions for models, and so
many people try every year and they get rejected because
you have to you know, you have to take this
seriously and you'll have to learn to walk, yes, and
the manner that like often the focus is on the
(05:18):
guys because there's less of them.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Oh okay, and it's just after well this happened after
we get back from Vegas.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yeah, we got to be careful.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Eighth of August. Okay, closing night at the festival. So
it's the biggest night, national media, the local media.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Not a great time for us to be shredding is
in Vege. We're going to be shredding in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah, oh my good. You need to take this man.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Make you.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Dreams come true you very soon, and certainly to get
you into Mandilo. I mean, he's a great guy and
he'll make sure you look the best you're possibly can.

will be? What? One thing? This is really great because
people often get so intimidated by fashion, but you two
are normal guys. You will be watching normal people looking
amazing and beautiful designer suit and I bet you anything
(06:27):
that that will be something that will make people feel
more comfortable about Angela. Yeah fix us?
Speaker 3 (06:34):
What can you fix me?
Speaker 1 (06:42):
From A five out of ten to a six place.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
