because we were talking about the person. Year twelve exams
are on right now and there's been a major mistake
with a number of schools teaching the wrong stuff.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
If exams weren't nerve racking enough, eight Queensland schools a
couple in Brisbane have been found to have taught their
ancient history students the wrong subject for the final exam,
and some of them found out as late as yesterday afternoon,
because I imagine the exam is today. One of the schools
(01:01):
is even holding a tutorial at nine am this morning. Quickly, quickly.
The issue aborting issue is the subject for ancient History's
final exam has been Augustus for the past four years.
Augustus the past four years. I don't know. I didn't
do ancient history, but then again, maybe if I did,
(01:23):
I wouldn't know either. So Augustus has been the past
four years. Right this year they changed it and eight
schools for some reason didn't realize it had been changed
to Julius Caesar, so they taught an entire and the
old contest the.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Same last time he should that's right related.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
But yeah, I mean Julius Caesar is the big one.
He's the one that everyone knows about. So I understand
why they pivoted and go, we'll talk about the main guy,
don't you.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Know Julius Caesar.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
The guys the Roman Empire is the main guy. It's
the Roman Empire, you know, the big the colosseums and things.

He also famously born by Caesarian. You're gonna help it,
come on, keep going. What else can help?

Speaker 4 (02:25):

was brutus.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Well, look, the Education Department is looking into it, and
they are kind of going to make sure that students
who are affected their grades, aren't you know what, this is.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
An automatic e in this area.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
You can't kids that actually didn't study.

lend me your ears?
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Yeah, I think that was him? Was that him? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I mean pretty much every every movie or show about
the Roman Empire has got him in it.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
I have to say I'm with Corey. I know nothing,

Speaker 3 (03:29):
I genuinely didn't do ancient history.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
I don't know what would someone do ancient history? It's
a hard topic, Like, there's a lot to remember, it's
a lot to come.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
What's the pointing gown back?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
I want to be help you for that's how we
move forward from learning from the past ago.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Have you ever stumped up an exam or done the
wrong exam?
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Are you serious? Absolutely?
Speaker 6 (03:58):

Speaker 3 (03:59):
My storylines that they had said your effort and actually.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
So you just answer a question that you knew that
supposed would just right as much as I possibly.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Could, like in English, all of them.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
So every subday I played a lot of sporter.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Right, wow, okay, if you had an exam, what went
wrong with the exam? Thirteen one oh sixty five, Because
we do have our House of Wendy for every caller
that gets on our airhouse Wendy Family feest.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Y family, family meals. So just tell us what happened
in the exam thirty one oh sixty five.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Apparently the Education Department is saying that seventy five percent
of the assessment has already been done. Okay, So does
that mean they've already done their assessments on the wrong
guy as well?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
On Augustus?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah, going to use Julius or Augustus my life.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
I don't know why you do ancient history unless you
really love it and therefore think that that will be
an easy mark for you. Yeah, it is archaeology still
a thing.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
I don't know. I'm fascinated in ancient history. That's it
wasn't when I was a kid, but I am now
exactly exactly still.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
No, So we want to know what went wrong with
the exc Damn and Beg from Briby is going to
tell us the rookie error she made that had massive consequences.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Try to cook the books, Okay, this would be good.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Beg it Briby, because we're asking you, guys, so what
went wrong in the exam where I love this?
Speaker 4 (05:28):
What did you do? So?
Speaker 6 (05:32):
I had an assignment, was a fairly important one that
we had to hand in, and my cousin had that
same teacher for that same subject a couple of years ago,
blitzed the assignment. She got on A plus. I would
have gotten the A plus too when she handed me
assignment if I had to remember to take her name
off it fail. Yeah, and I wasn't even allowed to
(05:56):
do like any tests or anything. That was just no sales.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
That's the dumbest plagiarism, left her name on it.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
We're going to reward such behavior.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Well, fly meal at the new Wendy's House of Wendy's
for you back.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Don and Carolyn of Logan. What happened with your daughter
last year?
Speaker 5 (06:19):
Okay, so she was not really prepared for her mass exam,
so she was really really like really nervous about it.
She did the calculation part of it, and then all
of a sudden the alarms went off in the school
and they had to evacuate. This is an acre exam
as well for MATS and they had to evacuate and
they were sitting out in the field for about an
hour waiting. It was an actual bomb threat in the school.
(06:41):
And then they had to find out like later on,
that they couldn't reset the exam because all the other
schools had already done it, so they had to base
it on her year's performance, which she had done really well.
And so she ended up managing to pas for a
maths exam maker because of her bomb threat. So she's
so thankful for a bomb threat at.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
A school that's your daughter. Wow, And when you put
in the bomb threat, Carolina, what did you say?
Speaker 5 (07:10):
I was actually a school kid at.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
