Hey there, I'm Alana Riley. This big wet is lingering
around Brizzy for another day before things start to clear
up from Thursday. Showers and a stormer on the forecast
again after already bringing a delus this week. Flash flooding
was recorded at a number of spots in the city's
north on Tuesday. Wivenho Dam has opened its flood gates,
but authority say it's just a precaution. Meantime, Christmas has

been canceled at Pine Rivers Park on Brisbane's north side,
where the magical Christmas lights display was washed out. Devastated
organizers are now in flood cleanup mode now that waters
at the Strathpine Events site have subsided.

The weather is expected to clear up as the week
goes on. In Brisbane, there'll be a bit of clad
around from Thursday before sunshine is forecast to kick in
on Sunday.
