Speaker 3 (00:27):
So Kiss ninety seven to three broadcasting live from Las Vegas.
Because we were here to see the Backstreet Boys was
a childhood dream for Coreots. We found this setut when
we're getting to know Corey at the start of the
show that he grew up a massive Backstreet Boys fan.
Used to steal your brother, c D put it in
the walkman, Was it the millennium seed?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It was. It was the first one and we got
to hear all of those songs last night sphere at
the Backstreet Boys. It was crazy. But here's a little
bit of what got us here.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Because Corey, in order to get the whole show to Vegas,
had to become a Backstreet Boy.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Here's a bit of his musical stylings.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Right right.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Street You made full film, Cip, did you actually wear
the same outfit from the film clip last night?
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Everything but the pet's the long You had the full watch,
but I just couldn't wear the long ones. But look,
it all came to light last night how.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Good was that?
Speaker 5 (01:26):
Like, yeah, we got there, it's at the Sphere, the Sphere,
we rot up the Sphere. I didn't know what they
expect and I did not disappoint walking in there and
just seeing the setup, because.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
You've got to explain for anyone that hasn't been here
or actually seen what the sphere is. It is literally
a dome planted in the middle of the desert. About
a third of the dome is seating and the rest
is visuals, screen and screens. That becomes an interactive experience
as you're watching what's going on on stage.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
But look, they did not disappoint. I thought they were incredible.
Their vocals surprised me. But look, how about we just
shove and let everyone listen to.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
That that's having come up?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
I was That took me back. I was not expecting
to love it as much as I did. So much
fun it was thought, it was amazing.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
You gotta like, you're gonna see the full video clip
when we put it out that but that would.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Be cool, so writed out of ten for me, because
you know, you're a massive like Holmes fan, You're like
the massive Teddy Swims. This is entirely different on a
scale of all the concerts you've seen in your life.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Yeahstreet experience, it's up there with an ie like that.
It was near perfect, just the whole the whole thing,
the whole night because even they're dancing.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Was surprised me.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
They were actually like they're really good still, like they
still moved really well, and it was all you know,
they were all together and the vocals and then just
being in the sphere and actually experiencing that. Yeah, it's
up there.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
And of course, I mean you probably noticed, but we
were desperate to get.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
You see, I sing all the songs I knew, and
here it is.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
There, it is.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
It's hard to isolate one because.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Everybody was belting out every song.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah, like they could have let that.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
I remember they stopped singing it on one of the songs.
You need didn't even know it was coming, and the
crowd just just took over.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Do you know.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
I thought it was crazy when I heard that people
were spending four or five grand to go from Australia
to go over there, and you know, yes, we're very privileged.
Does it radio show and we got to bring listeners
with us, But honestly, the entire crowd was made up
of anyone other than.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
People from Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yes, yes, people have traveled for hundreds thousands of miles
Ork to be there.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, it was. It was incredible.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
I'm so I'm so glad we got the.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Chance to experience.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yes, well, we do have to thank you because you
became a backstreet board to get us here.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
And you did it much much Just a little bit
of a film close, that's it.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Learn yeah, learn five seconds of move and we're very great,
very much so. And it didn't disappoint you. Corey. This
is the lifelong dream. You finally got to see them.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Yeah, that was awesome. Look I will taped my hat
off to him. They put on a cracking shot.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Straight off the show.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
We grabbed some people from the audience and asked what
I thought.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
My name is gannett Lekendra, and where you guys from?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I am from Brooklyn, New York.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
Oh yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
I'm from Northern Virginia.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
Yeah, and do you what do you think?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Amazing?
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I got my whole life at this show.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Yeah, no, worst time, and it was like making our
childhood dreams come true.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Yeah, I mean the pretty good.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yes, it was given new audition.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Where are you from and what did you think?
Speaker 7 (05:58):
I'm from New Jersey and it was an amazing, spectacular
show water experience.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
You were slightly outnumbered as a mile. Did you still
enjoy it?
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I did?
Speaker 5 (06:08):
I did.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
I really enjoyed it.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Actually, what happens is that my brother gave me a surprise.
I was at some party.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
He snatched me out of the party because he wanted
to give me a surprise.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
What the Backstreet Boys?
Speaker 6 (06:18):
Because he and I we did a dance in your school.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
So he literally grabbed his brother in New Jersey, put
him on a plane, and they turned up in Vegas.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Now.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
The thing I will say about talking to Americans is
as soon as you pull out your phone and it
has a microphone attached, they come.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Flocking to you. Yeah, this is in red to go. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
But there was one guy who didn't give the show
a ten out of ten, and he explained something that
we didn't realize but could end the tour.
Speaker 7 (06:49):
I would say probably eight and a half. I enjoyed
it so much that I had to come back so
I could critique it. I one hundred percent will say
eight and a half. Why because yesterday the show went
on for another three songs today they cut it short.
(07:12):
I don't know we're target I'm pretty sure they're exhausted.
But the graphics were all so different. I will tell
you that is probably one of the vast experience that
you could have in Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
I didn't pick this, but during the show, you guys
did what happened?
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Well, one of the lead singers, you could tell his
voice was going. He started speaking and even just just
speaking he would lose Brian was he's the little guy
that wears the hat.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Brian. Yeah. But Brian and the other.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Bloke, so they do like nine of the singing, Well
they used to yeah, and that's what that's what God asked.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Remember, And when he started talking when they do those intervals,
they started chatting to the crowd, his voice was slowly
like disappearing while he was just doing like chats.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
And then during the show, I saw there was a
bit where he had to hit a high note and
he literally stopped and went and dropped an F bomb,
like didn't go into the mic, but I saw him
mouth it because he just didn't have it.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
And we both went, did you see that?
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, Friday, he can't say no, so as someone who's
had throat nodules, that's what it sounded like to me. Well,
you know, and who knows, like he may just have laryngitis.
But if you think about it, this is their twelfth show,
they've still got I don't know, twenty five or something
to do. They're only doing it on weekends, so it's
like Friday, Saturday, Sunday, so he does have time to recover. Yeah,
(08:42):
but there is a potential that could have been their
last show.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
See actually, and the first song he did was way stronger.
During the show, he got weaker and weaker his voice
until it was almost gone.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
And they literally stopped on backstreets back or right and left,
and all of us were going what just happened? And
then he must have felt guilty because he came out,
ripped his shirt off and threw it into the crowd.
I saw that, didn't say anything no, and then left.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
It was like a fairwell shirt toss. So they skipped
three songs.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Yeah, I really hope for them it doesn't because it's
an incredible show, Like I feel, you know, I'd want
everyone that's planned to come to get that experience because
it was incredible It's.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Interesting that the other guys can't sing his bits for him, Like,
that's the guy that looks like Jesus, what's.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
The other guy? I think he took over a lot
more than what he used to. Yeah, don't you.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Think this could be awesome? That we were at the
last ever Backstreet.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
Boys show true until Friday and they redo another one.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Well, maybe maybe that'll be the end, or maybe we've
got a fill in right here, or maybe the big
fella put on it, put on a backwards hat and
get out there.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
The robots at the end on the screen, Yes, that
was what that was me. They did have dancing robots
and it did look your similar fluid totole movement.
Speaker 7 (10:07):
Yes,
