a lot of news about Ezra Man for the Brisbane Broncos,
so we thought we talked to our own in Choreots.

Okay, Well it's it's been an interesting weekend. There's been
so much about it on social media and there's no
real charges yet. But what we know is that Ezraman
was in a car accident. He was given a drug
test at the scene and tested positive to having drugs
in his body. There's a second test which may take weeks.
We don't know the results of that, and we don't

know about any action from the Broncos or anything yet
other than that and that he was unlicensed at the time,
which isn't great.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
No, I'm the same demon. I've only sort of heard
it all secondhand. I'll obviously away at a wedding over
the weekend and I only got to hear it from
other people and on the news. Look, first of all,
thankfully no one was injured from the other car. That's

the one thing that he should be sort of thankful for,
because I know as really personally him and we're actually
locker buddies for the last three years, so I became
pretty close to these and I wasn't talking to him
start of the week last week, So I just know
that him himself will be Yeah, he'll be absolutely being

a young fella and and just the sort of person
he is, And I know that this is definitely not
him and not something that he ever thought would be
something he'd have to deal with. There's a lot of
stuff that hasn't come out yet and hasn't been confirmed
or you know, waiting for that secondary drug test and whatnot.

But I know how he'll be feeling. And I just
know that whatever the decision is going to be from
NRL Broncos, and it's going to be like road back.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Brand new coach in Madge. So this is an opportunity
for him to say draw a line in the sand
for a lot of people. A lot of people think
this is his first real major test. Do you think
he's going to go harder than he would have normally do?
What you what are your thoughts he's going to do.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I don't really know match too well. I kind of
see I may as a guy that will he'll have
a pretty hard stance, but I feel like he'll probably
try and do what he can to help as too,
to try and bring him back, and you know, to
say how long that would be, I've got no idea.

(02:37):
You know, it could be three months, six months, twelve too.
You know, he's like, this is not something that you
can come back with, come back from really quickly. So
I got no idea what made's like. And all reports
he's pretty he's a pretty hard ass. But yeah, I
believe that it's going to be a big decision whatever
it is. Anyway, you know, you'd have to say.

And as we're mentioning, there is no confirmation of any
of this, so we're purely speculating. But those kind of charges,
my first response is is Ezra.

Okay, Yeah, And honestly, that's that's how I've been the
last you know, Like I said, I'm not close to
the guys, so it actually it sort of rattled me
a fair bit, just because him and I've been pretty
close for a long time, and I've tried to reach
out to him, and I've spoken to a fair few
people over the same that had tried to reach out
to him too, and I think she's I think it's

fine silence for him at the moment. You know, known
his family pretty well. Yeah, that'd be very shaken up too,
just because they they know this is not not Ezra,
this is not the way they would have thought. I
guess they would have been spending the end of this
year having to deal with And yeah, i'd really I'm

sort of rattled bit sort of talking about it now. Yeah,
I just really hope it's okay, because I I know
deep down he is very embarrassed and and absolutely shocked
that this has happened and he's the cause of it.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
And do you reckon Corey that there's a every time
I read a negative story about the Broncos, and there's
plenty of people that hate him and want to hate
on them, But every time I read a negative story,
it's a picture of Ezra and and Reese Walsh together,
and there's the headlines like the egos are out of control,
and it's always those focused on those two. Do you
think that's unfair?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah? I really do, because you know, I've I've got
no idea what Ezra was doing at the time or
before that, and I don't think, you know, knowing him personally,
he isn't he hasn't got the ego. It's just it's just,
you know, he's just that sort of kid. He's he's
a comfort young fellow. He just loves playing football and

loves having a fun time with his friends. And I
remember when I was that age, traveling and having fun
and I was done with my skill mates. You know,
like when you're a young kid and you're in this spotlight,
everyone expects you to be different than growing up. How
well is he he's twenty one. Yeah, and that's honestly

no excuse. But you know, everyone expects all these kids
to be grown up and act the same as a
thirty year old in the game, you know so, and.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
You're right, you're kicked off with the right words. Thank god,
no one was hurt. And I guess we'll find out
what what actually transpired, you know, when all the facts
