Oh okay, other than family, who is the most important
person in your life?

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Well, this is well, it's pretty easy to be honest
the last six years.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I guess.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
When I met this guy about six years ago. Yeah, look,
it's it's pretty easy to say that he's he'd be.
He's definitely a very close person, someone I go to
for a lot of things.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
And yeah, his name is Paul and it's not Reno.
I met this guy before. Yeah, he's honestly like.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
A father figure to be honest in in Brizzy. I
look up to him for everything. I go to him
for advice and honestly, absolutely everything.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Do you judge Paul from neighbor? All right, yeah we will.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
We end up buying the block off him, And yeah,
just just a great person to have and and really
you know, has has helped me in the last yeah
five five six years, and I go to him for everything.
You know, we hang out absolutely everything with basically just
talking him about how I was feeling with rugby leagu

because they're saying ups and downs and I feel like
you need people. And he never used to talk to
me really you know, like could coach, and it was
just more about a person.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Is older than you. Yeah, yeah he'd be I think
he's fifties.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yeah, and yeah, he's just a really good guy. And
he's actually the first guy I rang about when I
got off of this job.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Really. Yeah, so Paul's your sounding board, He's the guy.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah, and it's they've taken us in that family and
our kids. I remember Harks actually when he first started talking,
started calling his wife nanny and loves Paul, like loves
him to death. Every two couple of days he walks
around the house, grabs picks up sticks, fills a bag
up for Paul because he he's.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Got a bit.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, and he wants taking to Paul every week. If
we don't see him in the weeks, Hucks goes, where's Paul?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I want to see Paul. I want to talk to him. Yeah,
you guys were talking about moving. That's going to be
hard if you're Yeah, to.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Be honest, that was probably up there with the hardest
part about thinking about it, and.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Is probably the reason why we still have it. You're
not going to your reckon, not the next twelve months. Yeah,
it's too hard.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Like it's such a great place to be and an
area it's quiet, and obviously you know having them as
neighbors is just yeah, the perfect combination.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
So can you think of the best advice he's ever
given you? Answering the phone to Billy Slater twenty two.
So did Billy call you while you were with him? Yes,
that that story about I was. I was on the
fence having a few beers.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
It was with him, and I wasn't going to answer it.
I was like, Oh, he's just ringing me to go
into training.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
For to go into camp, to just go train with
the boys.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
And he said it's probably a bit more important, you reckon.
He'd be ringing on a Friday, and I was like,
I'll ring tomorrow. He said, his buddy answer for you
to regret it, Well, he picked I had to I
had to go into camp to play the Game three Decider.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
In Brisbane of og in two and you're going to
let it go, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
And there would have been Billy going Yeah. There's been
a lot of things he's helping with over the years,
for advice, just with just with life.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
So he's being great there. That's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
I would not have picked that when you said Reno
as in your mate from the Broncos, I definitely thought
you would have said that.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, well he's a great mate. Also, he's helped me
with a lot of other things. Will he be a
bit bit peeved that he wasn't on your your number one? Way,
we understand. Oh, that's a good mate. He helps me
with my golf swings. It's more of a golf all right.
That's a good, good answer.

Everyone got me back to enjoying the game. That's what
he definitely did for me when he came here. So yeah,
but Paul is still number one.
