Speaker 1 (00:12):
I heard podcasts, hear more kiss podcasts, playlists and listen
live on the freet.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Robin Kids Now with.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
The podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
The Broncos in the news again today. I mean, I
guess Reese Walsh can thank Shubasaki because for a second
he's out of the headlines for his toilet antics.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I still believe that story is ridiculous. How long this lasted?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I just which one the reason?

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I know it's all this and that I get this
discussing ancient but.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
It's a toilet Come on, okay, it is not that bad.
You keep up, you maintain that rage because we have
got a plumber who has a very important message for
Reese that may change your mind.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
It's harrowing. But whose message? Who is super Saki Gemmett
he is. He's coming out of nowhere. He's been one
of those players that you know. He went to Houndsville
for a beard. He was in Melbourne for a bit.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
And when he was young, great left so you knew
young you knew him from young? Yeah, and I wish
never left.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Where did he leave?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Did he get dropped?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
No, that's a long story. Anyway I can.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
But he's found it. I mean, he's found his feet.
He's found his feet right all of a sudden. This year,
he's having an absolute breakout year. He's played Origin all
of a sudden, It's gone from being almost a name
that people going who never heard of him.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Well, how much quit? How much was I had done?
And then yeah he gave one more shot.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, so he's playing in the centers. He's been excellent.
And then this was the headline last night.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Devin Shivasaki has been dropped after a boozy night out.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Crawls, you got some information on this.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah, it has turned up. He's gone out on the
drink on Sunday night in Brisbane, not after the return
from Townsville. He's had a big night out. He's turned
up to training on Monday morning under the weather and
just made the decision to drop him.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
And they're suggesting that that he he was still under
the influence at training at like eight in the morning.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I can absolutely verify that their flight landed from Townsville
at three o'clock on Sunday because my flight came in
from Sydney at the same time. Oh yeah, it was
three point thirty, so we were all at the carousel
at the same time. So if he left the airport
and went somewhere.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
It was from four o'clock onwards.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Wow. So the big points core is that we're playing
tomorrow night. It's a Thursday night game, so it's a
it's a very short turnaround.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah, it's a big game. So it's huge win to
have the fourth spot.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah, we have to win. So this is and it's
not like the towns will win. Was not a contuvent
that we beat the Cowboys, but only just yeah, so
what if you were Maage McGuire, who's our new Broncos coach,
what would you have done?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Same thing? Understanding it's a I love when coaches did this,
not to say I love seeing game getting dropped to
just the principal of this is it's great, Like I
really do. It sets the standard and shows everyone that
doesn't matter how good you are, who you are and
this team. You stick to the rules and you have

(03:19):
to bide by the rules, and if you break them,
and depending on how big that thing is that you
break that rule, you know you gotta stuffer. The consequences
are even it's equal for anyone for all of them.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I'm really curious as to why he thinks that that
would be the right thing to.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Do, okay, Yeah, because it would have been a point
in the night like you would have hit say nine o'clock,
ten o'clock at night, still drinking and thing, and it's
going to be okay. I'll just keep going, you know.
I mean obviously you make bad decisions when you're drunk.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
But yeah, especially after the game you're very dehydrated. YEA
hits easier, it lasts longer, you wake up worse.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Do you think is there a mentality that it'll be okay,
don't worry about it. I can pull up, go to
training and it'll be fine. Like is there a belief
within team? And I don't just mean the Broncos where
because it's a disrespect.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, Like to be honest, Later on in my career,
I knew if I could have a certain amount of drinks,
not usually the night before, like it was very rare
if I did that. And if I did it, I'd
I'd be done by six or seven. It wouldn't be
a heat, but I'd still have some beers with mynable
or going in the pub. I'd still have some drinks,
you know, but it wouldn't be a heat because I know,

(04:36):
if I kept going, or if it was later in
the night, I would wake up way worse. It'd probably
be affecting me. And it's actually really bad for your body.
Oh yeah, training and running with alcohol, with having drank
the day before, twelve ten hours before, is really bad
for your soft tissue. You know, you can your tear muscles,

(04:57):
your tear ligaments.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
It's bad.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
So why do you think you did it like this
late in the season when the Broncos are fighting for
their lives to get into the finals and stay there.
He's at a cracking height. I mean, is he that
arrogant that he doesn't think it matters or is it
that he just had a concentration.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
I think it's a lapse, to be honest. I was
very lucky when I was a young kid. Once I
hadn't debuted yet and I rocked up to training and
I was only knew to the first grade world.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
You're like eighteen something like that.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, yeah, And I rocked up one morning. Yeah not Pierce,
but I stunk. Yeah, you know, I had a big
night and a couple of older boys seen me before
any any coaches Luckily something I don't know how, and
they just grabbed me from where I was. Do you
know it might have been double and maybe Corey Parker, Yeah,

(05:51):
Semi Friday, yep. And they've grabbed me and just picked
me up and threw me in the sauna right and
said don't don't move. I don't want to see you
until until you leave.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
They said.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
But they said, you won't abu if they smell.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
If they someone saved you from yourself.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
It was just more like it. And it's been in
the rule for that long.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Yeah, don't break it. You just don't do it. Well,
there's one player that's kind of happy. I won't say that.
There's one player that is glad that the headline is
no longer on him, and that's Reese Walsh. And later
on the show today we will talk to the plumber
who has a very serious warning for Reese Walsh drinking
out of toilets, even if he thinks they're brand new.
