Speaker 1 (00:12):
I heard podcasts year more kiss podcasts, playlists and listen
live on the freeheart app Robin and Kids Now with
Choreos the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Talking about things that your kids have destroyed. Thirteen one
oh sixty five is our number.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Mine was a byproduct. They didn't actually meant too but
they did it three times. So this is when my
boys were really little, and there's like two years between them,
and so up until the ages of about six, we'd
do that communal bath thing right like they'd either jump
in together because they don't want to play at you know,
when they're you know, two four six, yeah, and and
often they would get super excited and I would be

(00:55):
running in and out and Tony, their dad, was much
more sort of laxadaisical than I was, because they were
all swimming and so we never worried about drowning. I
know parents today would find that terrifying. But the kids
would put the taps on because they'd like to be
making splashy. Sure, they flooded the house three times, and

(01:15):
the problem with that was that the bathroom, their bathroom
where they had where the bath was was really little
and so the tiles were only like two tiles from
the bath and then you went onto the floating wooden floor,
three times.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Floating with three times a bit of water underneath it.
I remember a dry well made of mine. Got a
brand new car, and like you know, when you get
a new car, you're extra excited, so you keep it
super clean and you do all that. So he was,
and he was first weekend. He's polishing it like he's
done the full wash. Now he's doing the polish, the

(01:56):
wax on, wax off, and he hears on the other side,
on the other side of the car, he hears this
weird sound. He's like, what is that sound? He goes
around and his three year old on his copying dad,
but holding a rock as he goes.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
No, no, brand new car.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
What do you do with it? You can't do it.
You've got to take it in to be redound.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Had to be. They had to repaint the door.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I've done more than one panel.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It wasn't just one door.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
He was.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
He was moving around the car. I help helping wax on.

Speaker 7 (02:34):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
I do have some stories. Yeah, some this is a
that's a good word.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
There's not a few.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
Yeah, I got a fair few, but I won't I
won't tell.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Them all you the child or is this your this
is I was an angel child, Telly, Okay.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
I'll roll my dad's car. Actually as a child anyway,
that's what I was like. Twelve was meant to be driving. Look,
that's a long story.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
Twelve.

Speaker 6 (03:07):
Yeah, I was in a lot of trouble.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Let's just say that.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
You don't hold you Yeah, let's just move on from there.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
No, no, no, you're going to tell us one to
come back. Yeah, you're going to come back with one.
But we have got red rooster bouches and we want
to because clearly, when you start thinking about it, they build.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Also, oh yeah that's right. Thirteen, one, six, five, give
me one.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
My dad's life, I reckon.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Do the quad bike?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Tells about the quad bike?

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Okay, quad bike. This is a this is a it's
a funny story, but yeah, it's so stupid when you
think about it. So dad bought this brand new quad bike.
It's like it was a six hundred back like back
and I was like eight, I think or nine. And
you know, back then they are a lot of money,
and well they still are now, but even more so

(03:58):
back then. And they are big, they're heavy. They don't
really sell them much animo because it's so.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Dangerous when people die on quad bikes.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
And I remember we're out the back doing some stuff
and Daddy's have this big it was like a little
it's like a big water like a water trailer, sort
of like molasses. And so it was really fixed here,
like five inches. It was thick ass solid, and he
was towing it. And anyway, we're finished the day and
he goes, right, you know, drive back, and I was
like shotgun driving, and Matthew's right, o sweet, And Dad's

(04:29):
much older.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Is Matthew four four years old?

Speaker 7 (04:31):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
And you're allowed to ride?

Speaker 6 (04:35):
I never I never got to, right, you know, I
wanted to drive it, So drive it, Dad's and then
don't go too close. Sit behind the dust. Don't sit
behind the trailer close enough to be in between the dust.
And that's that's close, right, And Matthew we jumped by Matthews.
I bet you don't. I bet you can't get really
close to the trailer. I was like, you want to see.

(04:57):
And then anyway, I drive it along and I'm like
really close. Dad can't see it because the dust and
then bank slams of brakes and then just I just
drive straight in the back of it. It's brand new.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
And did you did you hate your did you? Well,
let's start with the least important thing.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Did you hurt.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
The trailers?

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Fine?

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Did you hit the quad bike?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Bad?

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Bad?

Speaker 7 (05:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (05:18):
The whole front was just And did you hurt yourself?

Speaker 1 (05:21):
No?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
And so how did you da react?

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Well, let's you say a lot of words were said
and it ended with you can walk home? Then I'm not.
He made Matthew drive off in front and just left
me there and I had to walk back how far?
I don't know, a long way. Let's just say he
had to come pick me up because I still wasn't.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
What did your kids destroy?

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Zach?

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Out of rage?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
They'll say, al Zach, what did they destroy it?

Speaker 7 (05:49):
It was actually me when I was thirteen. Yeah, I
thought I was doing the right things. We had a
wood fireplace and wanted to help my friends by taking
the ashes out as I'd seen Dad do the trailer,
and I put it in the trailer and about to hire.
Ten minutes later, the whole thing just went up in.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
pH my goodness, dammage his dansag.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
It was about a five thousand trailer.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
You two got ashes, Hang on hang on, yeah, speaking,
my hay made what happened.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
So I had a rental and our kids were in
the bath and in the bathroom it had a small
drain and they've overfilled the bath and before you know it,
it's all gone into the upstairs, a bit of the
two story unit we were renting at the time, and
it's flooded all upstairs, seat through the wall and the

(06:55):
We ended up calling the real estate and she go, yeah,
you're done.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
You're well enjoy one hundred dollars to spend a red
roosterom you're eating with the kids.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
At least something good came heapen.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
And we'll give a hundred bucks a red rost as
well as

Speaker 6 (07:16):
To thank you
