Speaker 1 (00:12):
I heeart podcasts, hear more kiss podcasts, playlists, and listen live.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
On the free iHeart app.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Robin and Kiff Now with Correo. It's the podcast Good Day.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
It's Robin Kiff Now Coreo. It's on demand. The podcast
you're in. The show today is quite a sting on Corey. Yeah,
we got him good the long long tail. Yes, I
went for a while. I did, and we were so
plus sort of a flat stick flood chat. We were
very busy on the show today because you're like, yes,

(00:56):
because of the lie, because of your reaction, we had
to pivot around what we're going to do with the
fashion festival. So we never actually got to get Patty
from Stratty with his tips on here, so we're going
to get him at halftime. So you need to know
what you've got to do this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
It does a really good job.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
It is I should pretty nordable.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
I have no idea about timming. I've never tipped in
any sort of competition ever. Yeah, but I would just
listen for his gags.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
True, true, true. They come it up at halftime now
with the podcast, and it's Thursday morning, So tonight is
the night the final light of the Brisbane Fashion Festival.
We've been talking about this the last few weeks. Corey
and I are going to be taking the catwalk, the runway.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
I've never seen you two have so much attention for
so long. Yeah, on one thing.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Yeah, you're not usually interested because there's just going to
be all eyes on us. And you're start You're opening
the show for Manzillo, Corey in your in your big
beautiful mint colored suit, and I got to be wonderful,
and I was you were closing the show, and you.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Need to understand that the reason why a Keel from
Manzilla wanted Kip to close the show is that he's
been a massive fan of kIPS for like twenty years
and kind of here's your voice and it reminds him
of a black panther. So he's created this extraordinary outfit
just for you so you can close his show.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
And I just the more I think about that and
the effort that's gone into the suit, the more terrible
I feel about Yes, what happened yesterday, We'll just wait.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
Yeah, Well, I'm doing everything I possibly can.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah, Okay, well.

Speaker 6 (02:33):
Everyone I posibly can, and I will do what I.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Can to make you do this well Yesterday after school,
I picked up Rafi from school and he's been doing
he's been playing touch footy before school on Thursday mornings,
and he said, Dad, I don't want to do that anymore.
I want to play basketball. And we've got a little
three point hoop outside, and so I was like, okay,
well you need to get some practice in. Let's go downstairs.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Because the little kip is that he still believes that
there is some chance in his life that he could
become an NBA player.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
In Vegas one for the in Vegas he was remember
he was holding his pose.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah, he was a real basketball playing a game in
the pool. And sometime I did come up to me
Corey and and say, hey, are you a baller?

Speaker 6 (03:13):
And he said, no, I am not.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
So I was showing Raffi's the hoops and I tried
a little turnaround jumper and that's where you fake to
the left and then I spun around and shot and
then it's a professional move. And I faded away. And
as I faded back, I got to the edge of
where the basketball court ends and the grass begins, and
there's a drop off of about ten centimeters and so

(03:39):
my ankle has hit that roll and I've gone down
hard onto the grass and I knew straight away I've gone.
I've done my ankle here like this is a spraying
at least, I don't know if you've broken. I don't
know if I heard a snap, but I left it
for like an hour. I put ice on it and
all that, and then that.

Speaker 6 (03:59):
Was the sticks and stuff underneath you that maybe that
wasna that was the guard gardening a dog poop.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Anyway, So then I iced it, and then about ten
o'clock or something like late last night because I text
you guys, how guys, I've done my ankle. Instead a photo,
it was all getting swollen and I had to go
to an emergency to go like, I'm in some serious pain.
So this morning, I'm in a moon boot. I've got crutches.
I can't walk. I can't stand on it.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
What do you mean you can't walk?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I can't walk. I can't walk That words cat So
I'm not so I don't. I don't see how I
can possibly do the catwalk because I can't walk.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
Just to the kitchen where there's a will there's a way,
that's what you want, will find that way. You know
what if it starts off with, well, we'll go to buddings.
We're gonna tea spooner cements.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
What if it's what if cement doesn't you? What if
it's proper because it's it's throbbing.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
I'll get under my old physios because they work. Wonders,
magic fingers are those blokes?

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, it would not have been the first time in
people's lives where the show must go on.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
No, that's true.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
Well, yes, and the show must go on.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Thirteen one oh six fives our number. If you've been
in this situation like this, where you've got you thought
we can't do it, but then the show must go on.
You've got to go on. It's a wedding or whatever.
You have to do it. Tell us about your story.
I know we've got crisis meetings with Akil the designer,
and with Lindsay, the organizer of the whole event for
Brisbane Fashion Fist. We're trying to work out what we're
going to do. Can I can I roll down? Can

(05:33):
he be a cat roll?

Speaker 5 (05:34):
I'm going to make you feel a whole lot worse
in a wheelchair.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
And because I know other people will understand this, my
husband Sean, we were three weeks out from our wedding
and he was in intensive care.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
He got out of that hospital. Yeah, we got married, but.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
He really wanted to get married.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
To go through all my things. Really don't want to
walk back that one me to go through my list.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Yes, yeah, I want you to go through that list.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
The highlights, the lowlights, thirteen one, six five.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
When has the show just had to go on? Please
give us your exam to inspire Kip. We do have
a Soak bath House voucher.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Yeah, two hundred bucks to spend at Soak bath House.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
To the bravest, strongest cement drinking human.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Yes, if that's you, and I want your listen.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Next, Rolling now with Coy the podcast.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Just keep Walking is the is what we're trying to
put into our minds tonight because tonight is the final
line of the Brisbane Fashion Festival. We've been talking about
it over the last few weeks. Corey and I taken
to the stage for the very first time and overnight
there's been disaster. I've rolled my ankle playing basketball with
a chance.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
Did you watch a Michael Jordan docker and just get inspired?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Thank him?

Speaker 5 (06:51):
So does think he has that potential. But if we
want to talk about when the show must go on?
What did you just got a text from Tigan? What
did you say? Your wife Chigan?

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Yeah, and my one of my birst mates MADAGEI Leette
Well Gillett, sorry you get up with that? Played two games,
I believe with a broken neck.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
A broken neck, so he go and he played on
and it was very Yeah, it could end up bad, okay.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Thirteen six five We do have a soak bathhouse two
hundred dollar gift boutchaut to the most extraordinary story Chris
of Morningside.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
What happened so.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Asn't ever may fight on my hands are pretty important.
And three days out for my fight, my coach while
we're drilling, my coach accidentally connected with my farm and
it snapped it in a V shape on a like
a in two places in like a V shape.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
It just was like the contact was just made. I
don't really know, just he just punched the thumb and yeah,
it snapped in that V shape. So it was three
days out before a fight. And then what people don't
really know is when you fight, you sign contracts and stuff,
and then you've got to show otherwise lives and whatnot.
And it's just not the being penalized, it's the you

(08:07):
know how hard your parents work, because you've worked hard,
so you don't really want to pull out three days
out and leave them hanging when they're family and friends
have sort of bought tickets and stuff as well to
watch the show. Anyway, we're running around trying to find
a dodgy cortisone shot or something to numb out, but
to no avail. So anyway, we rock up to the

(08:30):
fight show. And again, something that people that probably don't
understand about fight shows is you have our doctor look
over your body before you fight. They clear medically before
you jump into the ring. So we're here and I'm
trying to hide this dodgy swollen but smoke and thumb,
which we managed we managed to pass. And then we

(08:55):
we're sort of like it like rolling the hands over
on a specific angle, just trying to hide it and tucking.

Speaker 8 (09:00):
It away so we didn't sort of see.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Hoping that he didn't press down on that thumb too hard.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
And then please tell me you're okay, please, please please you.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
So we strap it up and we're just we're just
like we'll get in there and see what happens, and
thankfully the adrenaline takes over when you're in the cage,
and I didn't feel a thing, and probably every punch
and grappling each stands that happened, we probably hurted a
little bit more.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Funny, Wow, you did so adrenaline.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Adrenaline w Scrian when the show must go on?

Speaker 5 (09:36):
What happened.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
I'm a truck mechanic. I was out on the job.
I was standing up on a wheel doing a component
change out that was leaking head cools all over the wheel.
I fell off the wheel impaled myself on the end
of the bull. When I looked down, my knuckles were
up and the wound up to my knuckles.

Speaker 9 (09:54):
Oh my god, I'm like Jesus.

Speaker 8 (09:56):
So that I was directly on and I said to him, hey,
you better have a look at this. I think this
was serious, and he had to look at it and fainted.
I'm like Jesus, this is not good. So I laid
him on the side in the recovery position, called an ambulance. First,
rang my wife and said, hey, have we got annulos fund?
She goes, yeah, why no, no reason. Annul Its turned

(10:16):
up started lading him and he's like, no, no, it's
not me. It's made an air chip worthy one.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
Who fated.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
So I got to the hospital and they said, oh Jesus,
and I said, well, what's the go here?

Speaker 9 (10:30):
They said, well, can you.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
See that vein down the bottom there? And I said, heeah,
what's that? He goes, that's your female arterie.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
That's death.

Speaker 8 (10:37):
So forty eight stitches later, I got back in a cab,
went back, picked my d up, and drove home with
one leg. So I think, Cap, you need to and
walk it up.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
That is one of the great stories. Okay, it's not.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
The guys missing.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Okay, so brain surgery is a fighter went in the
fight with the split thumb and this guy impaled himself.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
We don't think it's criminal artery.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
For his mate.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Okay, yeah, but they're not in they don't understand fashions.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Now with the podcast, grabbed Alana from our newsroom into
the studio with us because we are talking all things
Taylor Swift, Hello, can you explain to these boys like
it is life changing?

Speaker 7 (11:37):
Well, yes, I know, like there's gonna be people listening
right now who are kind of like wrap it up
or like we've had enough. But the thing is this
woman has set her whole career around really treating her
songs as if they're journal entries. And I feel like
that is why her fans feel so much more connected
to her personal life, because they have so much more

(11:59):
information about her dating and her history and her wants
and her hopes and her dreams and everything she's wanted.
Then other celebrities really let people let that curtain up.
So I think that's where that kind of what's it
called when fans feel like they know someone and they don't.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
That's a word for it. I've been tricked. I do
understand what you're saying. She does. Really she does go
very personal, lets everyone in on what's going on in
her emotions and things like that. I mean, it gives
a very one sided story about all about all of
their breaks.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
She does date very famous people. They have their own platform. Yeah,
they can take the other side if they want to.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Maybe John Mayer and that take the high road.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
He's not your best example.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
But in your world in the last since this has happened,
have you been talking about it with friends?

Speaker 10 (12:49):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (12:49):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean you everybody is talking about it.
Everyone who knows me. You know, to be to be
known as to be loved. Everybody is texting me saying,
are you so excited, and I'm like, yes, I'm so
excited for her.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
Everyone.

Speaker 7 (13:02):
Yeah, everyone is talking about it, how exciting it is,
because we kind of all knew that it was happening,
but genuinely didn't actually think she would tell people.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
Well, here's the thing, her not her dad.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
His dad, Ed Kels, is Travis Kelce's father and obviously
been nominated by the family. It's not like the Megan
Markle situation where her dad went rob yes and no.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
One actually wanted to hear from him. He's kind of
like the official spokesman.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
And as we predicted yesterday, Elana, the actual proposal happened
two weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
He was going to put it off till this week.

Speaker 10 (13:38):
I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but
he was going to put it off till this week
to you know, what makes some grand thing, to make
it a big special event. And I told him repeatedly,
you know, you could do it on the side of
the road, do it he any place that makes it
a special event when you get down on one knee
and ask her to marry you. And it helped the
Scott Swift was telling him the same thing.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
Taylor Swift was telling him the same thing.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
She didn't care.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
So the photo shoot that we speculated was a photo shoot, yes,
is actually correct.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
So how did it happen? Well, I will say that
is a very fast talker.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
So his first words are he says that they went
out to dinner, got her.

Speaker 10 (14:17):
Out there, jenerary, so let's go and have a glass
of wine. Wow, And she got out there and they
got out there, and that's when that's when he asked her,
and it was beautiful. She she got you know, they
started facetiming me and their mother and her folks to
make sure everybody knew.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Well, just at a restaurant.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yeah, well I don't even think it was at a restaurant.
I think they just they went out for a dream.

Speaker 7 (14:36):
Everyone's trying to piece together where it is when it happened.
But some people think it was actually like his backyard
that he's redone. But like, the thing that is crazy
to me is Taylor Swift doesn't do interviews. Her family
don't do interviews like very very rarely, and so with it,
the first major milestone of Travis Kelcey and her relationship.
Someone from his family has been like, hey, who wants

(14:58):
an interview? He's done, Like I would say more than
twenty Like he just will not stop talking about their
personal details about this engagement.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Yeah, I wonder how she feels about it. I wonder
if she loves all of his.

Speaker 7 (15:11):
Kept the secret for two weeks? Is it happened two
weeks ago? She's kept a little on it.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Good for him.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
She is one of the smartest business women in the world.
There is no way that he would be talking without
her permission.

Speaker 6 (15:23):
One thing I'll agree on you with Taylors fifth that
is correct business.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
And they're going to live stream the wedding.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I could finish on ed because actually he was surprised
the engagement took so long.

Speaker 10 (15:38):
We knew this was going to happen months ago, and
to be honest with you, at least that was that
was my guess was probably during last season this one,
it really became obvious that they were just just crazy
about each other. A week ago, as Travis, so, when
are you going to uh, when are you when are
you going to announce the engagement? He said whenever. Taylor says, so.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
He already knows the rules. That's my dad. Would never
would have been able to keep that secret two weeks.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
That's incredible, and then having an inkling for the whole year. Yeah,
he's it's a talker, but maybe that's a dad thing.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Every family's got one.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Yeah, yeah, But have you got someone who or maybe
it's you, that is brilliant and keeping a secret? What
was the secret you held on to thirteen one o
sixty five. I know Cory's got one. You and Wayne
Bennett had a little urine hoots. Yeah, me and Wayne
I had a great one. But if you've got one,
a secret you kept for a very long time. Thirty
one o six five.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
We've got some galactic donuts to reward nice.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Now with the podcast.

Speaker 6 (16:40):
So I was probably sixteen, I reckon we did this
and for the first few years obviously I was back raw.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
So I come through the twenty system back row. That
means like playing it in the fourth So yeah, say
in the ford and I was both.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Yeah, but I always thought I was a back ron
and wanted to play for a long time. But you know,
I played fifteen and I end up on the wing.
I started on the bench you have on the wing
and played the grand final on the wing. And then
in the preseason that always just thrown.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Me there, just put you on the wing, no, like
in the back row in the background.

Speaker 6 (17:10):
Up road to try and saying the forwards and just
trying just in case, you know. And I loved it
so and the media kept just jumping on it, like,
way Corey, you know, is he pushing for and this
and that, you know when you're gonna g him a shot?
And one day he just goes, I'm sick of this.
He said, have it, run with it. He come to me,
he said, let's run with this. He called me his

(17:30):
office and go, let's run with this story. I thought
I was in trouble and he goes, no, no, I
want to take the mickey out of him for like
as long as we can, to see how long they
believe us for.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
So, what was the story that you were going that Wayne?

Speaker 6 (17:41):
Just every time I got asked, he said, yeah, every
every week he's.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
Coming off of Wayne. I want to be a back roll.
He just kept saying to the media that I totally
believe it too. Yeah, Corey wants to play in the scrum,
he wants to be happy on the wing.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
And every time I can't.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
Believe what did that go for?

Speaker 4 (17:58):
I want to say eight months. It took a whole season,
like and.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Then it got to a point where Wayne goes, I
think we've we've gone a bit too far with this.
It's starting to get a bit like people started really
believe in it.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
So what did you do to stop it?

Speaker 6 (18:11):
Well, he had to come out and he goes, look,
I just need to clear this up. Yours are all
like idiot idiots, that's what he said.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
He said that, so that told me, and they go,
what are your men? He goes, he's not.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
He hasn't asked me once, so he's happy.

Speaker 6 (18:25):
But on the wing, he goes, yees all fell for it,
he said, And he said him and I had this
little thing.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Going for the last eight months. The world's because and.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
They were filthy.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
That's great.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
And he even came on when you took this job
here properly and he gave like comments to say, welcome
a board. He goes, well, you know, Corey, you're great.
You wanted to be your second role, but you didn't
make it. And so he's still doing it. Yeah, and
about that's a long, long sting.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Well, there's not many people that can do that to
the media.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
But Robin now with Corey the podcast.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
He started as our junior sports reporter. My tipping was
worse than shopped me quite at half time.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
His tipstars still better than kipping Cory's though, and he's back. Patty,
You from Stratty.

Speaker 11 (19:22):
With Patty's power Picks Diday, guys.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Good a Patty. How was how were your picks last week? Oh?

Speaker 3 (19:29):
You're not bad.

Speaker 11 (19:31):
I think I've got a couple.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
Yeah, yeah, looks a few upsets. I think we would
have all been pretty similar.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Yes, all right, what about and we've only got a
couple of weeks of regular football left? So what's going
to happen this weekend?

Speaker 11 (19:44):
Alrighty did a footy fans? How do you use my
power picks? Around twenty six final footy is peaking over
the horizon like a noisy neighbor and the heat is on.
Let's get stuck in bullocks to beat the Pitts. Doggies
have been chewing the furniture, and this week they'll think
their teeth into the big cat worries to be the eels.

(20:08):
The was love nothing more than scrapping out and the
eels will wriggle but the Warriors will reel them in.
Storm to beat the Roosters. The storm are tightening up
for the finals like a trady ratcheting down the load
quite flat, but they'll get blown off the line. Raiders

(20:30):
to beat the Tigers. The Tigers are showing claws, but
the Green Machine loves crushing rusty panels. Seagles to beat
the Dragons. The Seagles are finally flying straight, while the
Dragons look like they've run out a part. Yes, Broncos
to beat the Cowboys. The cows are going in circles. Well,

(20:52):
the Broncos are charging down the street. Nice shots to
beat the Knights. The Sharkis are circling and the Knights
are swinging their swords, but I reckon Bite beats the blade.
Dolphins to beat the Titans. The Fins are splashing hard
and the Tops looks like they're stranded on the scene.

(21:13):
And finally, my sneaky play prediction, keep an eye on
the camera. Monster to drift across the field, spawn the
lazy defender, and twice through with that trademark or in
this will be less scratching their heads and sit air
around twenty six locked and loaded snacks, Grab your mates

(21:36):
and remember not chose to scientifically prove it to taste
better while doing your best victory dance, Pat Strutty over
and our.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
Give us so crude.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
I love you, thank thank you, Thanks mate.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Now with the podcast, disaster has struck here, Yes, something
has happened which is going to impact tonight's Brisbane Fashion Festival.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Yeah, and we actually have people we need to call
and talk to before we really get into it too much.
So let's just go back in time for a second basher,
because yesterday, right after the show, you brought a very
special guest in to help me and Corey get ready
for the catwalk which is on at tonight, the final

(22:31):
night at the Brisbane Fashion Festival.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
Yes, and you guys are walking its Yes we are.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
And we got to speak to a man in the
know by the name of Bretto.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Okay, boys, I want to introduce you to someone I reckon.
He's one of the best looking guys on the runway
for Brisbane Fashion Festival. He's been doing it for a
number of years. He does lots of local ads as well.
His name is Bretto.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Bretto Okay bred sounds like a plumber or something.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Well, I do think he has a day job. I
think all the models in Brisbane have to have a daja. Yeah,
but he's one of those kind of more distinguished. He's
an older guy, okay, and facial hair is his thing,
which is I I wanted to bring him in so
that you felt a kindred spirit would help you walk
the runway today.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
It's tonight.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Yeah, it's showtime. Holy, come around, just jump on that.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
This my.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
First date, Robert. Oh you've heard the story.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Did you hear that?

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Bretta? That's so good that that's your.

Speaker 12 (23:44):
Well I'm a long distance listener, yeah, first time cooler,
so yeah, that's so good.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Yeah. Embarrassed. You're looking dapper, mate, you've got the coat on.
The beard is resplendent standing. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
They're terrified.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
They're absolutely terrified about tonight, like it's that the fear
is real.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
How long have you been doing it? For?

Speaker 5 (24:10):
Four years?

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Okay? So you started late? Yeah, very late.

Speaker 13 (24:14):
Yeah, what's fifty before I thought about it, I'm fifty
seven now.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Oh yeah, wow? Are you going?

Speaker 8 (24:20):
All right?

Speaker 4 (24:20):
A bit of gray and the beard, but that's about it.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Otherwise you can't talk, you know, I know, say, are
you walking tonight with the boys?

Speaker 4 (24:27):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Second, oh well I know who's opening.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Some guy.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
He's running down So you're you're walking for Manzillo.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
That's correct. Ah, you really are together. You're not standing
next week at the start. No, no, you're running on
the field.

Speaker 13 (24:46):
But remember this is not Leaying Park, this is Brisbane fashion.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Just gentle. So how did you fall into it? After
fifty I.

Speaker 13 (24:54):
Was in a in a champagne celler in reams in
France and a guy said, of course you're American. Guy
come up to me and said, are you you're the
guy from the whiskey ad, aren't you? I said no,
I'm not, but I wish I could be. And my
wife said, well, best you do something about that. And
then wow, yeah auditions, you got into it.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
You do look like you'd sell whiskey.

Speaker 10 (25:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
So do you have a day job.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Yeah, I'm a diesel fitter.

Speaker 13 (25:20):
I'm a heavy equipment diesel fitter.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
No way, yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I'm going to ask a really chick question. If you're
a heavy metal machinery guy, how the hell do you
get your nails plan to walk a run way?

Speaker 4 (25:32):
That's true, it is a job.

Speaker 13 (25:34):
It is a job getting your nails clean and as
you can see, they're not clean hair.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
A little bit.

Speaker 6 (25:38):
So you're gonna get a clean for.

Speaker 13 (25:39):
The Yeah, yeah, yes, I get in the swimming pool, Robin.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
That's what you do so for hours and hours. So yeah,
because because diesel there, that don't go easy.

Speaker 13 (25:48):
Oh you just it's it's just the grime of the day,
you know, being a trading.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Yeah, he can do it. Yes at fifty, Yes, you
can do it all right.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
No, you're right, you know this is inspiring. But you're
also a good looking blake. That helps Brede you two coin.
Did you grow up big and you're ugly? Yeah?

Speaker 13 (26:14):
I did.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (26:14):
They always been conscious of my looks, you know.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Skinny kid, Yeah, yeah, that helps actually modeling spin a
skinny kids. Not really, probably there is it probably a
bit of a bonus.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
I will tell you. And certainly last year you walked.
Brenda has a swagger about him, like chicks love him.

Speaker 13 (26:33):
You have the swagger though, Yeah, boy, inherited the swagger
from my mother.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
So my mum you could pick her in the crowd.

Speaker 13 (26:39):
She should walk along.

Speaker 12 (26:40):
And she had these slinky shoulders that so you sort
of pedal your shoulders backwards.

Speaker 13 (26:46):
If you get what I mean.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Boy.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Yeah, to show them. You'll have to show them how
to do this, because when you pull your shoulders back,
it just makes me want to swing mysa.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
Are you ready?

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Yeah, we're gonna go. We're gonna go walk with Brett.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
You were going to go walk. It's going to teach
you how to do it?

Speaker 4 (27:01):
All right, good, let's do it Abby days. Let's see
how we go. Right after this, we'll we'll head out
and test this walking because it's a big night to
right the Brisbane Fashion Fest of six fifteen. Right now,
it's Robert Kipp now a Coreo. It's a Kiss ninety
seven three Robinie.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Kid Now with CoreOS the podcast.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
What a year of discovery this has been for you, Korea.
I mean, you became a backstreet boy, you learn all
the dance moves, you made a full film clip and
now and now you're learning.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
The walk to work.

Speaker 6 (27:34):
We really put me through face.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
What a revolution from a bro test in my f
So right after the show yesterday, we had male model Bretto,
very appropriately named Bretto because he is a male model,
but he's also like a diesel fitter. Awesome. Yeah, and
he took us outside the studio and you'll hear us.

(27:57):
We've got about like a good fifty meters walkway outside
that goes past all the studios here, so we can
have a little bit of a practice. And he gave
us some very good advice.

Speaker 12 (28:06):
A walk to boys, when you're walking and straight ahead
and just pedal your shoulders back slightly. This has a
bit exaggerated, so just a gingle walk.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
Is that too much?

Speaker 12 (28:18):
Rafter, No, you're nailing it, Kip.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
It's good.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
The pedal works.

Speaker 12 (28:24):
See you come up to the camera. Camera is your friend,
so make love to the camera, look at it with love.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
In your eyes.

Speaker 12 (28:30):
You just just looks slightly past past the camera.

Speaker 13 (28:33):
Yeah, yeah, just to the side of the camera.

Speaker 12 (28:35):
So and if you've got it your best side, like
basing the sky's who are posting?

Speaker 2 (28:40):
Good? Soid's all over?

Speaker 3 (28:43):
How do you know where to stop?

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Okay?

Speaker 12 (28:45):
That's always there is always I think probably two meters
from the camera, maybe a little bit less. People often
don't go close enough to the camera. And when you
when you're walking, so you want a nice long gate,
so a good a good stride, not too long, So
don't walk like a penguin.

Speaker 13 (29:03):
That's not good.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Is there a lot of light.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Where you stop, you know where to stop because there's.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Not it's an imaginary point. Oh my lord, you don't
have to click.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
I need to see it right where.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
The backwards pedal was the best advice. I just roll
your shoulders back like you're on a bike going back. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
And the good thing is I think they've got monitors
backstage and Bretto is actually walking for Manzilla as well,
so you'll be able to watch him first.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Yes, well you won't.

Speaker 11 (29:39):
First.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
And we need to talk about where I'll be during
the show after this because disaster has struck and we'll
get into it. We've got to get some news and
we'll get to that right after the news and discuss
what what the heck we're going to do.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
You're walking, I'm telling you that much.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Now with cost.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
And Tonight is the night Fashion Fashion Brisbane Fashion Festival's
twentieth year, the crescendo, the final show.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Yes, and this is such a big moment. People like
us and like you guys never walk the runway. And
yet the gift is given by Lindsay Bennett, who is
the director and founder to walk for Manzillo tonight.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
We've been taking it very seriously. It's like we've we've
had you know, walk training, We've been We've been going in.
We've got fitted with these amazing suits from Manzilla, the
suits spectacular.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Corey.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
You are set to open the show. I was going
to close the show to do the final walk. Last
night was actually yesterday afternoon. I was playing basketball with
the RAFFI my little boy, and I rolled my ankle
and I cannot put any weight on it at all.
I'm in a moonboot with crutches this morning.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
Yes, so we have to get Lindsay up to talk
through what we are going to do.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
Hey Lindsey, Hey there guys. Sorry, mate, I'm so sorry
to create stress on a day like today.

Speaker 9 (31:12):
Look, it's disappointing that you hurt your leg, but mate,
not happy. Jan An understatement. Yeah, I've got better words.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
You know.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
I know what you want to say because Cory has
been saying it a lot of.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
I've been doing it.

Speaker 10 (31:30):
Listen.

Speaker 9 (31:30):
So this is what we've decided. We've locked everything in
on the production. There's nothing can change there. So I've
been talking to a kill and we've got he and
his team. They have now madly making aderations to keep
suit look and It's fortunate that they are bespoke Taylors,
so they've got an extra five minutes material. It's already
been pulled apart and they're working on redoing it. So

(31:53):
what we're going to do, Corey, You're going to open
and close. We'll have a team aggresses to help you
make the change you've got. You know, Bernie's going to
take you through the choreography and you'll have approximately two
minutes and twenty seconds to get out of your first
outfit into your second outfit. I know it's going to
be tied, but we have got a great team here
that will make it happen. Just wear some good underware

(32:14):
because you'll be standing there.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
The reason why we've gone deathly silent is Corey has
is lost for words, which is the first ever.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
And he's now giving Kip the finger.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
It's an extended finger. He's been giving me the figure
for a minute now.

Speaker 9 (32:30):
You haven't got a camera on me.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
I'll fix that way after this. Anye.

Speaker 9 (32:40):
Look but again, mate, as I said at the very
beginning of this experience, no Zoolander moments, none but that
old show show added you know, never worked with children
or animals, really has to be changed. It never worked
with radio.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Presented children and animals.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
With you.

Speaker 9 (33:04):
So when I tonight have a little discussion was explaining.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
To that, I thought it was a great idea.

Speaker 9 (33:13):
Grow up.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
I'm sorry, Yes, the career is over. Producers were saying
before that, can't you just be an absent father? Why
do you have to play with your children? Just leave
them alone?

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Well, you know what, it's the.

Speaker 9 (33:29):
Only thing that's gone wrong in the festival this week.
You know we can handle it. But yeah, look it
will be fine, and you know, Corey, we're going to
make it work for you. We're here to help you
and to yeah, I can't think of it. Think of
a better way to close off this year's Brisbane Fashion
first one and to have you walked that runway twice?

Speaker 4 (33:47):
Yeah, ok, thank you.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
You're a legend, Corey.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Okay, you're going to be great.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
He's got two and a half minutes to get changed.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
I'm sorry, I'm really sorry.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Now the podcast.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
The Night is the Night Fashion Festival, the final Nightshion.
Can we be talking about it for weeks because Corey
and I have been kitted up with suits from Menzillo
to open and close the show for this year and
if you've if you've just joined us overnight, well yesterday afternoon,

(34:36):
roll in my ankle terribly and by doing what playing basketball,
showing my son the moves on a basketball court and
rolling my ankle. Now, we've had some amazing calls from
people today's you know, saying the show mask go on,
like wait to you. We need to talk to Brian
again later on the show because his has happened to him.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
He got him paled and nearly died.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
But the way he tells the story and what actually
happened is extraordinary.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
Was an ambulance called yes.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
The person that saw is wound to pass down. So
we're going to get to that later on the show
because it was just too impressive. We also had Corey
when when you saw me come in this morning on
crutches and the moon boot, Kelsey our social media, I
didn't know you recording was rolling. Yeah, you had some
choice words, but he he's not.

Speaker 6 (35:29):
Done with the army rattled. I hope they make me
push you down in.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
But you're an idiot. You so you already knew that
was Beach swearing so much.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
And we spoke to Lindsay Bennett, the organizer of the
fashion festival, and they have been up in the early
hours trying to work out what they're going to do.

Speaker 9 (35:54):
What we're going to do, Corey, You're going to open
and close, and you'll have approximately two minutes and twenty
seconds to get out of your first outfit into your
second outfit. I know it's going to be tired, but
we have got a great team here that will make
it happen.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Corey, he's lost for words, which is a first ever,
and he's now giving Kip the finger.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
It's an extended fingers. Been given figure for a minute
now twice. So come on over here, Corey, and what
we need.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
What you also need to understand is that Manzilla are
currently altering the suits because obviously Kip and Corey are
different sizes. So Corey has been desperate all morning to
have a look at this ankle. So we've got Corey
over on the other side, keeps in the moon boot
that he is taking off.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
He's going to gently assess what's going on.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
He's now taking off the moon boots. Okay, so he's
got a sock, trying to.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Put some socks on it to give it like it
because I didn't have that's two socks. Yeah, there's another one.

Speaker 6 (37:02):
Okay, had a good that looks better.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
Yeah, okay. So he's got he's got a bandage around it.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Yeah yeah, looks of loto swollen.

Speaker 5 (37:11):
So where did you do the injury? Which foot?

Speaker 4 (37:14):
It's my right foot and it feels like it's sort
of just below.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
Can you buy some of my tape?

Speaker 4 (37:18):
I know I had to use a band aid. It's
pretty young.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
He used a band aid to secure the bandage. Now
Corey is unwrapping.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
I put a lot of bandage on their sort of
physio do it once.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
I thought that's a good idea.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
So yeah, now looking at the wound, can you pull back? Yeah? Yeah,
I can do all that. What it's I can I
can spin it around. Actually, I'm going to kill you.
It's fine. I didn't at all. Now the whole things

(37:54):
are stick.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Give me a fine.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
I'm walking you.

Speaker 6 (38:09):
Play basketball.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
We literally just got Corey for the whole morning. He
has now hit himself in the head with his head.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
I'm sorry, I'm happy.

Speaker 6 (38:19):
If I'm mad, there's been so many emotions for you today.
My soul left my body.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
What he said, I'm going to do it twice. Oh,
I'm fine. Oh, my soul was gone.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
He destroyed Corio's his soul. He's played how many games
to the Broncos and you were the.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Two per soul.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
As soon as he said that, I was I'm going
to get into the serious man.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
Yeah, we've just punked you, my friend.

Speaker 13 (38:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
It was funny that we spoke about.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Three year old and I've been punked by fifty year old.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
And Lindy was in on it. Well done, everyone has
been in on it.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
Well done.

Speaker 5 (39:05):
You need to call off your physio.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
Thank you so organizing the physiot. Is it working anyway? Okay?

Speaker 5 (39:13):
Are you okay?

Speaker 2 (39:14):
I'm good now. I hope you feel.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
