Robin and Kiff Now with Koreos the podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
It's Robin and Kiff Now with Choreo. It's on demand.
The podcast coming up at halftime. I've got some audio
of Ricky Stewart, coach coach of Canberra. No, it was displeased.
You despriced.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
I think you would.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I mean you could say, hey, my team played really well,
but we did lose this twice.
Speaker 5 (00:51):
Yeah, there was a there was a poll on one
of the newspapers today, like an online pol saying where
the Raiders robbed. There's a lot of one hundred percent, but
there's also a lot of people going once again we
see this great sport ruined by slow motion referee, the
referees and the bunker too. In existent someone else rate
(01:12):
all bets should be refunded.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
The game was corrupt. I think that's somebody you lost
a bet.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
I was going to say the amount of people, and
this may be just where my kid's heads are out
who cashed out?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, and didn't wait.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
The distance And if they had waited for distance would
have made a whole lot more money.
Speaker 6 (01:26):
I'm like, why are you ringing at me about that?
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:31):
So yeah, and the suggestions that it's about that the
result was came down to, like being rigged for punting
is pretty ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I know.
Speaker 7 (01:39):
And this is where it frustrates with the most. Like
if punting was around, no one would care. It's like
the result intent that that game where he passed the
player at the ball to Kobe Heatherton and he's hund
with his game right. Yes, if punting wasn't around, everyone
been saying, Wow, what a guy.
Speaker 8 (01:56):
How great is that of a play?
Speaker 7 (01:58):
Like such a great fella, you know, doing that in
a professional game rugby league staff doesn't matter, do they.
Speaker 8 (02:03):
Yeah, he's doing that for his mate.
Speaker 7 (02:04):
But you know what, because punting's around death threats, abuse,
it's it is.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yeah, Well, Ricky's also pissed off and we'll foind out
wide after.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Kid now with the podcast.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
We love it when we have the means to help
somebody who needs it and we get to kiss it better.
And so Mikayla contacted the show, told us what was
going on with her.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Mum, Sandy, and then lied to Sandy.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
To say that she was coming into the station and
Sandy was invited to come along and have a little
bit of a tour and maybe meet the Breakfast team
if they're there.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, it's not a bad lie.
Speaker 8 (02:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
So when they walk by, as judio, we waved them
in because we knew that they were coming, and got
both Sandy and Michayla on the mics.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
I've never seen anyone look at me more suspiciously than you.
We saw you walking by. What are you guys doing
in here today? So Michayla just.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Having a tour at the radio station.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Oh nice? And Sandy's your sister?
Speaker 9 (03:10):
No?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Mom, Well can I tell you why you've got a
microphone in front of you?
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Don't know what I've got a Mocori phone.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
For, because your beautiful daughter has organized something incredibly special
for you.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Sanding straight into the tears.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
MICHAELA, tell us about your mom.
Speaker 10 (03:33):
There's a lot I can say about my mom. She's
my rock, she's my best friend. She supported me through
so much in my life. She's the most selfless, caring,
loving person I know. I remember back in primary school
she used to make these craft Christmas stockings for every
single kid. She just wanted to make sure everyone felt special.
That's just the type of person she.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Is, Sandy. Michaela actually sent us a message about you.
Are you okay?
Speaker 5 (04:00):
You haven't stopped crying since we said that you're here
on purpose? Hey, what's going through your mind? What's happening, Sadie?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
That's all right now.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Michaela's not an only child. Your boys as well, a
few boys. Can you remember your boys' names?
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Who you got?
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Rees, Justin and Brayden.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
We hapen to have one of them on the phone
right now. Good morning, Justin, Oh.
Speaker 11 (04:25):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Tell us about your mum, Justin.
Speaker 11 (04:28):
My mom's always been an incredible part of my life.
She's probably one of the most amazing souls I know.
She stood by me when I came out, my family
and friends every step of the way. That was very
emotional and very hard to do. She's just the most
caring person I know. She's at the biggest heart. I
honestly couldn't have asked for a better mum in the
(04:49):
whole world. Like, I love her so much. She's so
strong as a person. She's gone through so much.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Can you tell us about that, Sandy. It's been a
rough year for you.
Speaker 12 (04:58):
Yeah, last year I slipped in the kitchen at the time.
Like I went to the hospital and they said that
I hadn't cracked my hip or anything. They said, your
hips in better condition than my One nurse actually told
me after looking at the x rays on that. And
we were going to Japan and Hong Kong, and that
(05:19):
was two weeks before we're going to go. We flew
out and three days later they rang and they said,
you've got a cracked hip.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
We need to operate on you.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
And you're overseas.
Speaker 12 (05:30):
Yeah, it was stuck there for three weeks.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
You must have been in so much plain.
Speaker 10 (05:35):
Order a wheelchair like on Amazon and Yapan.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
Yeah, and you're over there with a cracked hip.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
They just missed it in the X ray or whatever.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Yeah. Yeah, because I had a full hip transplant, wow.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Hip replacement.
Speaker 9 (05:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
So how have you been living because you're a single parent.
Speaker 12 (05:54):
Yeah, it was like really hard, Like I felt like.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
A burden to your kids.
Speaker 8 (06:02):
Yep.
Speaker 12 (06:04):
And because like we came home and I went straight
into the hospital two days later they operated, and then
I think I came home a week before Christmas, and
like I couldn't bend over because like they were scared
flick out, like where they'd operated and I'd be there
(06:24):
like looking at the dog pool on the floor, thinking
like how am I going to pick it up? So
now the yard and the house and just everything's just
gone like to shit sort of.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
And you love your garden.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
You're one of those people that loves your yards to
look after it.
Speaker 12 (06:43):
Had got stuff last year to fix the yard up,
and then ever since it's just been getting out of control.
Getting down to like do the garden. It's like a
nightmare and.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Wow, yeah, just that painful.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Well, we've got a bit of a surprise for you
that could make your time at home a whole lot brighter.
So just stay with us and we will reveal the
surprise to you next.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
I'd loved for everyone to be able to see Sandy's
face right now because.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
She's so suspicious. What are you people up to.
Speaker 13 (07:23):
Fight?
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Out of the minutes.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Now with Correo's the podcast Rotten Kid and Coreo.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
If you've just joined us, we've been chatting with Mikayla
and Sandy. Sandy was brought into the studio under false pretenses.
Mikayla led her and said we're just doing a tour,
but she'd actually contacted the show.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
She's in a beautiful text, and I want to read
a little bit to you, Sandy, because this is how
goodeous your family are and how much they think of you.
She said, Hi, Robin, Kip and Corey. I'd love to
put in a request for a surprise for my mom.
So off the back of Father's Day, me and my
brother's are reminded how for so long we can remember,
we've celebrated Father's Day with her. Mum has always been
(08:07):
our rock. And she goes on to about your garden
and that you have some statues, you brought some fun
things that you want to put in your garden.
Speaker 12 (08:16):
This big Balinese head I had a pot for it.
Like to sit on and look on like marketplace and
different garden things, and then I see stuff and I'm like, uh,
I like that.
Speaker 10 (08:28):
Yeah, she's very created.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
But you've had to have a full hip replacement recently,
even though you're young, you're only in your fifties.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
You had to have hip replacement.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
And so all your gardening days are well, at the
very least on pause.
Speaker 12 (08:40):
Yes, like when we were on holidays and the kids
had to like push me in the wheelchair and that
I felt like a bode and like I was reckoning
the holiday for them. And then when we came home,
Mikayla had already fallen before me, and she broke four
bones in a foot two weeks before I fell. And
(09:02):
then when I came out of hospital, she was there
in a moon boot.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Clean in the house.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
You're saying, your garden, to quote Sandy has gone.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
To So you may notice, Sandy that we are missing
the one and only Corey Oats. I was just going
to ask, right, so have a look at that screen
behind you.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Where is Corey?
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Hello?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Are you sure? Is that your pool in the background?
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Yeah, that's my dirty pool.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
And you've got some palm fronds lying around. I see
what you mean it. It looks like it's a bit tough
to keep clean at the moment.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
So Cory, what have you got beside you?
Speaker 7 (09:49):
Nick from Brooks Blooms and they are here, Sandy to
clean up your garden and make it beautiful and peaceful
when you walk out here. And also on those statues
you got to these twelve heads here.
Speaker 8 (10:05):
But Nick, what work are we doing here today for Sandy?
Speaker 14 (10:07):
We're just really giving the gardens a bit clean out,
putting in some gardenaging and everything just to really help
revitalize the error, going to fertilize everything, get everything ready
for spring, and just really just help bring them back
to that own personal sanctuary for Sandy.
Speaker 13 (10:19):
Nice.
Speaker 14 (10:19):
We heard our story and we wanted to jump on
board and yeah, just to do the best job that
we can for her.
Speaker 8 (10:24):
So it's going to be nice and peaceful when you
walk out.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
It really well, thank you.
Speaker 8 (10:27):
Yeah, I'm going to be here for as long as
I can.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
Then I think Kip's going to come out here and
put the tool belts on do some hard work, which
he doesn't ever do.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
The boots on that straight, Corey's on the tools.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
You're actually going to put in some hard work today, Corey.
Speaker 8 (10:41):
Always I'm putting out what am I going to do?
Speaker 14 (10:43):
Well, we've got the big horse here is We're going
to get him digging and digging a few holes, moving
the heads around. The've got the pipes for it, so
he'll be able to carry them by himself, which would
be good.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Danny. Can I tell you I've unused Brooks blomes for
years and years because they're so special, Like they take
garden big ideas and make these beautiful sanctuaries and you'll
turn around and your whole backyard will be totally different
and amazing. But it doesn't stop there because we don't
want you to go home and see them working. We're
(11:12):

Speaker 3 (11:41):
You're just done, don't you.
Speaker 5 (11:43):

look after.
Speaker 1 (11:50):

that'd be good for the hip.

you already, so yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:59):

tomorrow morning. You be able head out and see all
the work done by Brooks Blooms and your house, your
yard will be ready to go. You don't have to
stress about it ever again, what would.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
You like to say to your daughter? Thank you so much?
Speaker 12 (12:21):
I love you for you freaking out.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Really well, this is just to make you see how
loved you are by your kids.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Yeah, I have a heart.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
We've ben give since you've started crying.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
What do you think about all of this?
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Your mum is very overwhelmed.
Speaker 11 (12:47):
I think it's just a lot, and she does so
much for all of us, and she loves and cares
for us so much. I wish I was there. I
think it were a cuddle as well.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Well, we're very happy to do all these things for you, Sandy.
You deserve it, so.
Speaker 5 (13:00):

the reveal with Sandy.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
And you too will explain how much hard work you
actually did.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
And if we're not playing a grab from the Castle
where Dale dug a hole, I don't know anything.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Ron Kids now with the podcast.

Speaker 15 (13:45):
Brisbane's biggest birthday party is coming put together by a
man who just found out what fairy bread is.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Wait, what it's just bread and sprinkles.
Speaker 8 (13:56):
That's genius.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
And Buddy a clown, haven't you got homework.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
Or something else you can do Brisbane's biggest birthday.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
By Yes, we've handed choreots the rains to organize Brisbane's
biggest ever birthday party for our birthday party because there's
radio says turning twenty five this week.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
And so Corey, you've organized the venue.
Speaker 8 (14:14):
That's been good Area fifty one yeap, what could go
wrong there?
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (14:18):
Well no, it's good, very organized.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
You are not.
Speaker 10 (14:22):
No.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
So we have invited Mackenzie into the studio with us.
Hello Mackenzie, Hi, ROBN, because you have not been very
impressed with Corey, have you definitely not?
Speaker 13 (14:35):
No?
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Or no?
Speaker 5 (14:36):
In fact, I think I've got some audio the first
time we spoke to mackenzie on air.
Speaker 8 (14:40):
Is there nothing you like that I've said?
Speaker 15 (14:44):
Because hell Lane, because.
Speaker 8 (14:47):
Everything you've said is lame am I lamee?
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Maybe because this has been going on for a week
and we thought that Corey would be able to pull
it together, but clearly he can't.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
Now you've got your own birthday coming up?
Speaker 16 (15:02):
Yeah I do.
Speaker 15 (15:04):
So.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
When's your birthday?
Speaker 16 (15:05):
Nineteen September twenty and sixteen.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Okay, so you're not.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
Friday, last day of school and you've been organizing a
lot for your party?
Speaker 16 (15:16):
Yes I have.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Yeah, so because we know that Corey you took him
to task on Friday that his party bags. The way
things were going, we're not looking good. Have you got
some examples of what a party bag should look like?
Speaker 16 (15:29):
Yes? Well it should definitely have lollies.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Okay, So McKenzie has two party bags here, one with
soccer balls and the other is a cake.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
So there I'm getting. What's the difference.
Speaker 16 (15:43):
Well, just to make sure you get a good what
a good thing it looks like?
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Okay? Yeah, so what's in the.
Speaker 16 (15:55):
Crazy sunglasses? Obviously fidget and definitely lollies.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Lollies, tons of dollies in there.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
A three three different lollies.
Speaker 16 (16:08):
Yes, definitely like it.
Speaker 8 (16:10):
I don't think I can afford that, Yes, you can,
maybe can help me.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Well, you haven't organized all you've got now, I've got.
Speaker 8 (16:19):
Lots of toys, lots of toys. Well, I'm hoping they
get here. Is that going to be an issue if
they don't get you on? Tom McKenzie.
Speaker 16 (16:27):
Definitely you need to make sure they get here before
the birthday.
Speaker 8 (16:31):
Okay, I don't think about that.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
There are eleven things in this part McKenzie, just talk
them to corea one.
Speaker 16 (16:40):
Well, I have lolly so life savers.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Yeah, they're full of two kinds.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Of so million Yeah, lollipops.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Spend the minion pears okay, okay?
Speaker 8 (16:53):
And what are the toys?
Speaker 16 (16:54):
Notebook and pam with a highlighter and rubber.
Speaker 8 (17:01):
Okay and yet.
Speaker 16 (17:06):
Okay, Well, this is a girl's birthday party, not boy.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
No, that's why there's a bath. It's very Meghan Markel
your birthday.
Speaker 16 (17:18):
And so crazy sunglasses.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Okay, So when is your party, mackenzie?
Speaker 16 (17:24):
Nineteenth? Yeah, nineteenth of September is my real birthday. And
then on the twenty second of Sunday is when I'm
having my birthday party.
Speaker 8 (17:34):
Have you organized your birthday party the whole thing?
Speaker 16 (17:36):
Yes, I've organized bumper cars, pimball machine and do so.
Lady game, what.
Speaker 17 (17:47):
This is?
Speaker 3 (17:48):
This is?
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Can I hire you?
Speaker 16 (17:50):
Sure?
Speaker 5 (17:52):
I think you're going to need to get Mackenzie's help
from here on in probably Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Would you like to come to our party?
Speaker 16 (17:58):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Please?
Speaker 6 (17:59):
I have far more faith in you than yes him.
Speaker 8 (18:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (18:03):
And as payment for your assistance, We've got eight tickets
for you. So you and all your friends.
Speaker 16 (18:08):
Thank you for sure.
Speaker 8 (18:10):
All right, We're going to do his organized arrest.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
So do you still think Corey Islam?
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Yes, well done.
Speaker 16 (18:20):
His job is pretty cool. And also playing I felt
was pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (18:24):
Yeah, it made such an impression.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
I like you more every moment.
Speaker 13 (18:36):
McKenzie.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
You for rob now with Coy.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
Halfway through the podcast, so this was on Fox Footy.
Ricky Stewart as being asked the question about the head butt.
So there was a head butt between Reecee Walsh and
Hudson Young. Hudson Young came in to sort of look
like he was giving it to Reese, bumping him in
from behind, bumped him and turned around, gave my head
butt and and both were sent for ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
In the bit, that's a young incident.
Speaker 13 (19:10):
It doesn't matter what I think about it, said pros.
He wasn't sent off. They're super president and he led
a head person.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Now they're talking about Joe.
Speaker 13 (19:20):
Why espersially you've gone in his face? I said, you
allowed to celebrated play. We just we just got a
good player.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
And I said, if I was just celebrating someone and
punched me and mine the wrong force celebrating someone.
Speaker 13 (19:33):
So that's all I said, Joe, Joe Hudson had to
use her head on his wash What do you think?
What about then?
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Yeah, it's pretty rough the head bye and then to
be similar, do you think it should been tonight?
Speaker 13 (19:48):
I don't know how they got the penalty to bed.
I can't. Yes, but let's let's not make it about that.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Well, let's not make it about that, which is a
fair point because they had the game on the roup
by sixteen and they lost.
Speaker 8 (20:05):
The thing that.
Speaker 7 (20:05):
Annoys me, Yes, like Tarpan he said what he said,
it was perfect. Yeah, you had to sa clebrate with
your team. Yes, you're not allowed to go what's the
word I keep foretting instigate, instigate, You're not let it
go and instigate and and and being off the opposition
that that's that's been taken out of the game because I.
Speaker 8 (20:22):
Think that starts all the crap.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
I like that too, because don't you reckon, Like when
you have something great happen and your your players do
something great to turn around amongst your mates and your
teams go, yes, you get those to going to the
person who made a mistake and going a.
Speaker 7 (20:35):
Ha ha, which is what he did, because that was
that's always resulted in them retaliating and doing something.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
Do you say the same if it was.
Speaker 8 (20:44):
Because it has been.
Speaker 5 (20:47):
Well, but Hudson Young is a known douche like he's
been sent off for that before. Yes, and so he
is that type of player. I think he's a great player,
but he is that kind of cam Mon.
Speaker 8 (20:57):
Got sent off for it in a game this year
for Melbourne Storm. All he did was yell in his face,
that's all. He didn't touch him exactly.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Yeah, and the same rule.
Speaker 7 (21:05):
No one brings that up, but it warned it's a
rule you can't. And he had retaliated with what he
did because of what Hudson Young did.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Now I had a thought when when I thought we'd
lost in the in the final minute, I actually was
like already trying to make it okay in my mind,
and I thought, well, actually, it's not bad because next
week we'll play, which means if we do have two suspensions,
the players get suspended and they don't play that game,
but then they come back for the next Yes, so.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
That would have been the case. However, because we won, yes,
we might actually lose.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
Reese Walsh, I don't think we'll lose rees and and
Patty Carrigan the next game in two games time.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
I'm surprised.
Speaker 8 (21:46):
I'd be surprised if we lose Rees.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
Yeah, like just because even though it's a headbut it
was a light one, but it was a head it
was it was.
Speaker 7 (21:53):
A light one, but it was a retaliation of what
it was caused because of Hudson. There's a rule, there's
a there's a lot of the yeah, a lot of
fine print that no one reads. Yeah, but it's Patty
Carrigan and lost for us.
Speaker 8 (22:11):
I don't see him getting off. If he does, then.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
He's how if you missed it. His shoulder contacted the head.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Of the only way he gets off and a lot
or a light is if his shoulder hit the ball first,
that is it's like a bounced up. It sort of
bounces off the arm like you hold the ball, and
it's like popping up.
Speaker 8 (22:33):
If it's hit the top of the ball.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
That's chance.
Speaker 6 (22:38):
Do you know what this whole day has taught me.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Bang on breakfast Radio is that you two have the
capacity to have emotional responses to lots of things. It's
just that if I ever try and guide them into
things like relationships or children or responsibility.
Speaker 6 (23:01):
See, both of them have now.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Dropped the heads. No, I'm thinking you're right, both have gone.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
I'm not interested.
Speaker 6 (23:06):
We've talked for like like at least well when the
songs were on. It's been going and going and going.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
So you have no excuse now moving forward because I
know you can, And if you don't, it's because you
don't want to, not because you can't.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
I don't know if I can. No me use the
term the other day. It wasn't retarded, it was emotionally
emotionally deficient.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Engage emotionally deficient.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
I don't agree with that or believe it, because I'm
still holding the faith that you actually can.
Speaker 6 (23:41):
You just choose not to, but then I don't live
with you, so maybe she's right.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
She's seen it. You've seen it in full force.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
You can do it.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Now.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Huge win for the Broncos yesterday afternoon down in Canberra.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
You were there, Corey.
Speaker 6 (23:59):
So the Broncos charter flights for a game like that, No,
it was.
Speaker 8 (24:06):
Very last last minute.
Speaker 7 (24:08):
I think Mad asked the club if he could get
some fans down there because it's it's very it's a
very vocal crowd, the Raiders crowd, and yeah, to be honest,
that would have been so cool playing in Canberra and
seeing that Broncos crowd. So there was two charted fights
in the end over two three hundred and fifty people fans.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
So it just went out to the fan, the real
die hard fans, and hey, if you pay this amount
of money, that's so cool.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
I just thought I thought that was the thing they
did all the time.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
Yeah, no, no, that was that was something that I
asked for. And both planes sold out in a heartbeat. Yeah,
like ridiculously quick. So they had to upgrade one of
our planes because more people wanted.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
To get a bigger plant to do it.
Speaker 7 (24:49):
Yeah and yeah, so three hundred and fifty supporters went
down and you and and there was about six or
seven old players.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
Yeah, I saw Sammy Thide, Petro, Simlex, Glenn Alfie, Alex
Lammer was looking after you, by the way, because you
went to Cambro, one of the coldest places on the planet. Yeah,
obviously going off to Canberra, right, I got my Bronco's
papa down here and Choreos decides not to bring a jumper.
Speaker 13 (25:17):
We're going to Canberra.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Still looking after you.
Speaker 8 (25:23):
Jeezust you.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
It was it felt like eleven degrees at four in
the afternoon in Camebra.
Speaker 8 (25:30):
It was freezy.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
It was so remember that I.
Speaker 12 (25:35):
Don't know why.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Anyway, What a magic win, What a magic win to
the Broncos.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
There was so much controversy in the game, including a
sendoff and this is a concerning one for a possible suspension,
because Reese Walsh and Hudson Young went head to head
and Reese Walsh did what looked like a headbut this
is the sendoff moment for both of them.
Speaker 8 (25:56):
Look, this is a.
Speaker 17 (25:58):
Little meatier than usual. Hereful rece, hareful rece and then
the shot. That's the shot for Tarpay.
Speaker 8 (26:06):
If they're not least you're gonna go too bit for
ten minutes.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
He taking your face, but you have to.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
So there's plenty of camera fans blowing up about Hudson
Young getting sent off because he he bumped, he bumped
and he yelled, but then the retribution was ahead.
Speaker 8 (26:26):
But I love this because you know what, it's a rule.
The rule's been set all year.
Speaker 7 (26:31):
This has happened a couple of times this year where
the guy that what's the word, he'll start against the instigator.
Speaker 8 (26:38):
If an instigator comes in after a play and starts
something gone.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
It's happened all year, right, and then if the person retaliates,
gone too, But the penalty goes to the person that
instigated it because.
Speaker 8 (26:49):
He doesn't retaliate if that instigator doesn't come in.
Speaker 13 (26:53):
That's the rule.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
What happens with somebody headbutts?
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Though?
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Are they generally suspended?
Speaker 8 (26:58):
I believe it's that.
Speaker 7 (27:01):
It's usually a fine, I believe, not a suspension because
of the instigator.
Speaker 8 (27:05):
If if that's out of nothing, I believe he would
have been suspending.
Speaker 7 (27:09):
As in if no one walked up if instigated and
did the headbut he's probably James playing the rest. Yeah,
but right, I truly believe he'll probably just get it
fine because it was instigated.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
All of that was was going to start.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
He was yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
After that, he came back with fifteen minutes ago after
being in the bin and just just took the game
by the scruff of the neck. It was just an
unbelievable finish. And there was a moment though Cambell won
the game twice. They want it in regular time and
then they wanted again an extra time.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Here's the moment. They won it in extra time with
a with a try.
Speaker 17 (27:44):
It's not going to be easy, Cosky.
Speaker 16 (27:47):
I think you might have touched the little picky the
left the right picky.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Again, so he's the right figure of Jade Stewart first,
then the hand of Josiah.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
He's almost scored.
Speaker 7 (28:03):
It's the first n one will be camera great.
Speaker 8 (28:07):
It's never easy.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Is they were hugging in the stadiums.
Speaker 6 (28:13):
Just tell me what happened.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
It was full time, we were twenty eight all yep,
and then it went into five minutes either way, and
then it was still twenty eight all no.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
Then they scored, then they scored a try. At the
end of that try, try try, they're hugging Ricky's going
off and the coach Ricky Stewart, everyone's hugging, the players
are hugging the crowd or all of them in embrace,
and then they send it up to the bunker. It's
disallowed and we're going into Golden Point. And Golden point
is where Ben Hunt, our champion, has done this to
(28:44):
win the game.
Speaker 17 (28:44):
Ben Harney's got one field on his career.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
He kicks it. It's long.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
Film, just a moment, I know, But how many times
did the ball hit the posts? I mean there's this
big area to get the ball through and it hit
the post three times.
Speaker 8 (29:03):
Hard to kick.
Speaker 6 (29:03):
That is the first game I have seen.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
All the way through really since orig Yeah right, because
I couldn't leave the.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
I'm telling you so.
Speaker 6 (29:10):
The upshot of it is the Broncos.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
Of one, Broncos of one in an incredible nail bider
And if you're a camera fan or a Broncos fan,
I want to talk about it. Thirteen one O sixty
five Ron Kid.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Now with Correos, the podcast.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
And the Broncos have next weekend off. After this big
victory against Canbra.
Speaker 7 (29:33):
Where we sang and handy with the ball and we
drove the boys a hand we put on a move
and scored a certain try and saying la la bye,
we did, We're going to beat you and I'm so
so my friends, we did. We're about to beat you,
and we'll never ever do it again.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
I'm so glad you were here to decipher that too.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Heard a hundred times, I still could be like as
a game full of controversies. O Cambra basically won the
game twice and then had it taken off them by
the video ref. There was a send off. There was
a couple of sendoffs. We lost Carrigan and we lost
Reese Walsh. Reese Walsh for what appeared to be ahead
butt on the Hudson Young. Hudson Young sent off at
the same time. In fact, I think I've got some
(30:20):
audio of that moment.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
Look at this.
Speaker 17 (30:22):
This is a little meatier than usual. Careful race, careful
reece and then the show. That's the shot from Tarpany.
Speaker 8 (30:32):
Listening, You're gonna go into the business ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
He take into your face head.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
You have to design your actions.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
You're gonna.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
And Hudson Young being the instigator, meant that even though
there was two sand offs, the Broncos got the ball
from that penalty, yes.
Speaker 8 (30:49):
Because without him doing that, it doesn't happen. None of
that happens.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
Troy out of strath Pine morning, Troy, you're you're Eurraiders fan.
Speaker 9 (30:59):
Definitely, and how do you feel it?
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Can you feel mate?
Speaker 9 (31:02):
Well, Corey, how do we scratched?
Speaker 10 (31:08):
Now?
Speaker 9 (31:08):
Polish mate? And he can't ran head?
Speaker 7 (31:10):
But yeah, but look, if if he didn't do that,
nothing would have happen. It's it's a it's a black
and white rule they've had all year now and they've
actually been pretty good with it. They've actually sent blokes
off now for doing nothing and just starting in a
scuffle and all in the scuffle, no fights, no nothing,
and they've.
Speaker 9 (31:29):
Sent that doesn't happen several times in every single game
they get warned. The other team gets gets tackled and
loses the bully. They're getting in their safe straight away
and and they're not, and they.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
Get warned, so the ref warns them.
Speaker 7 (31:46):
So the refell warned the teams, both teams two or
three times or no sorry twice, I believe it is.
Speaker 8 (31:51):
And then after that it starts it's just send offs.
Speaker 9 (31:54):
So I think it's a case of the Britain Bronco
is going to be without two of their stars because
Terrigan's straight to the head led him with Green add
and Lolan to make the hit and got him in
the face. Yeah, and then you got a head.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
What do you think we have? We got?
Speaker 15 (32:17):
Have?
Speaker 1 (32:17):
We got suspensions?
Speaker 9 (32:21):
Was automatic suspension?
Speaker 10 (32:22):
Well?
Speaker 7 (32:22):
I believe she'll probably get a fine because it was
instigated from someone else, so he'll probably get a fine.
And then I think Paddy is in a bit of trouble.
Hopefully I'm hoping he didn't hit directly. I'm hoping it
slips off the ball and he'll probably get a week.
I think he'll he'll probably get a week.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Does that man?
Speaker 6 (32:39):
A week of playing like you can't take? Next week.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
It'll be a games final.
Speaker 8 (32:45):
Yeah, I'd love for him to get done.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
But yeah, look thanks Troy.
Speaker 15 (32:49):
Jake, Morning, Robin Kid, Corey, Hey, look, love the show.
But Corey mate, you can't be you can't be serious
right now?
Speaker 12 (32:59):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Mate?
Speaker 8 (33:00):
Can I ask you a question?
Speaker 7 (33:02):
How do you lose the lead of sixteen points in
the last fifteen minutes? I just want to know when
the number one team in the comp, how do you
put another team with the player down for five more minutes?
Speaker 8 (33:12):
Also win. I don't. I just don't. I don't get that.
Speaker 9 (33:18):
Tory.
Speaker 15 (33:19):
Where the Raiders went wrong is that they let Reese
Welsh go off and sit in the bathroom for about
ten minutes.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
He is a germ.
Speaker 9 (33:25):
He thinks he is a pretty boy.
Speaker 7 (33:28):
Can I be honest?
Speaker 15 (33:29):
Yeah, Hudson Young should have knocked him out. Honestly. The
fact that he head butted Hudson Young was just making
a few words, okay. The fact that Reese Walsh, this
little protected species, came out of nowhere and head butted him,
and then Hudson Young get sent off as well?
Speaker 14 (33:44):
Are you kidding me a little?
Speaker 13 (33:48):
So many games?
Speaker 15 (33:50):
Did you want to suck?
Speaker 17 (33:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (33:53):
We won?
Speaker 8 (33:54):
I watched the game we won.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Calm down, Jake, there is the slight problem that you
won that game twice and yet still you lost.
Speaker 15 (34:07):
Okay, you don't need to remind me that sixteen.
Speaker 8 (34:10):
Points out with sixteen minutes ago you last.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Is it too soon?
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Jake? Yes?
Speaker 10 (34:15):
It is.
Speaker 9 (34:17):
Sorry.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Now with Chios the podcast.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Guys Sebastian, Get it Done, It's Robin and Kimp. Now
with Coreo It's on KS ninety seven three. The Broncos
getting it done yesterday, not without everyone losing a few
years off their life from stress.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
The one thing that I.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Really took away from all of this because that is
the first full Broncos game I've watched in forever, and
I got absorbed like it was on in the background,
and then it just was. It is that you said
on our Brecky Show chat that that was the best
game you've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
I think it is.
Speaker 5 (34:53):
I mean, we had it just it went to the
final minute of regular time, then it went to the
final minute of extra time, and then it went into
Golden Point and all of those had controversial moments.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
It was just crazy.
Speaker 8 (35:04):
It was a great comeback.
Speaker 7 (35:06):
I'll say that it was one of the best comebacks
I've ever seen.
Speaker 6 (35:08):
Really, Ye I think from you that's big too.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:11):
I wouldn't say greatest game, but greatest comeback for sure,
because yeah, just everything that happened and what they've done
that last twenty minutes of football was incredible.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
Speaking of comebacks, Ben Hunt played for the Broncos many
years ago and he's since left. He left in pretty
bad sad circumstances really, because there was a Grand Final
where you know, Broncos were in front. He took a
kick off and dropped it and the Broncos went on
to lose that Grand Final.
Speaker 8 (35:38):
Won't you there, Coreer, Yeah, I missed tackle so they scored.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
So you two together, what's the final?
Speaker 13 (35:46):
Thank you?
Speaker 5 (35:48):
But you got to you got to have, you know,
some comeback victories for the Broncos and Ben never did. Yeah,
but then last night he asked the cake, this is
the final sort of eight seconds Ben having only kicked
one field goal in his whole career, to.
Speaker 17 (36:02):
Win the game, Ben Harney's had got one field goal
in his career.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
He kicks it, HiT's long.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
I felt so good for being the man they called Doza.
Speaker 8 (36:13):
Yeah, big days yep.
Speaker 5 (36:14):
So you were talking with with Sammy Thurday on the
plane back from Campbell last night and and he mentioned
that and also another big call.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
There was two great calls of the night.
Speaker 7 (36:26):
What one came from Corey James Oates, which was a
cat hitched you and card catch and right, you were
exactly right.
Speaker 8 (36:36):
He knocked it on into Carapani.
Speaker 7 (36:40):
And the other call was from me going, why the
hell is in Dozer kicking a field goal?
Speaker 13 (36:45):
He could kick a field goal?
Speaker 8 (36:46):
And then and then two seconds later, two plays later, he.
Speaker 13 (36:49):
Kicked a field goal.
Speaker 8 (36:51):
Slotted it.
Speaker 13 (36:52):
He slotted it.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
He hit that so well.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
And for those that don't know, the Broncos actually charted
three planes to go down so that there would be
Broncos fans up against all those Raiders, and Corey and
Pedro and also Sam Thidey were on those planes.
Speaker 13 (37:07):
It's really cool.
Speaker 8 (37:09):
But that was actually he hunts second ever field goal
in his whole career.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Isn't that crazy? And he want to pick what is what?
Speaker 5 (37:15):
I can't believe forty out And then you also got
to talk to to Petro, who's certainly been our greatest
front rower until now.
Speaker 8 (37:24):
Paint hass Is he one of the best you've seen?
Speaker 10 (37:27):
Yeah, one of the greatest.
Speaker 12 (37:29):
It will go down as one of the greats.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
And yeah, tonight he had the busted ankle. He was
limp and it was everything and he just kept fighting.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
And you know, there's a big part of why the
Boys won and big part of why the Boys are
in the semi final.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
So yeah, standing effort.
Speaker 8 (37:44):
I would have went off, but that was him.
Speaker 7 (37:47):
I would have pulled me off, but I said, I'm
not asking you get out for I'm asking he would
have pulled me off.
Speaker 8 (37:55):
He would have got the MBO old Fonder. That's the
end of the end of it. Why I thought you
broke that's the end of it. How do you stop
this thing?
Speaker 1 (38:06):
You're trying to wrap up an interview?
Speaker 8 (38:08):
Yeah, well, can I just ask.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
How many beers in were you? Now? With coos the podcasts?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
What is going on with Rebel Wilson and her film
The Dead We heard about this, like it feels like
years ago that she was making this film, but it
has been delayed so many times and now she is
fighting legal wars on three fronts. So with the co producers,
they have claimed and they are taking her to court,
(38:49):
and there's sort of allegations that the actor is sabotaging
the film's long delay release so that they can buy
them out at a reduced costs.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
So she like that it's that it's Rebel, I'm delaying it. Yeah,
as deb is in debutante.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Yes, And now there's a third defamation action by the
dev's leading actor, Charlick mcinner. So I don't know what's
going on, but the Supreme Court going to oh and
Rebel has filed a cross claim and so it's listed
for directions heering on October seventeen, So there's not a
likelihood of us seeing at any time soon. Ever, maybe
(39:24):
not depend on the court, which would be awful because
you imagine putting all that work in by everyone, regardless
of how angry you're getting at each.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
Other, and not to be able to see it when
you've made it.
Speaker 6 (39:34):
Yeah, I know, Liam Hemsworth. Great news for him. He
is engaged.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
He has become engaged to Gabriella Brooks. Now that happened
across the weekend. They've celebrated sharing a romantic black and
white photo. But they are being trolled badly.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Was he He was one that was with Miley Soyris
and that is why they are being trolled.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Right No, by Marley Cyrus's fans who claim that she
is identical looking to one of Marley Cyrus's backup dances.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Gabriella Brooks is Gabriella Brooks.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
What do we know about Gabriella.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
She's a former model. She's walked from Louis Verton and
Calvin Klein. I know that she made her catwalk debut
at the twenty twenty three Australian Fashion Week during the
Q Fashion Show.
Speaker 6 (40:17):
And don't know how they met but Miley fans.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
Are not Gean.
Speaker 13 (40:22):
She's pretty.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Jamie Oliver's son, he's just releasing his first ever cookbook.
He's only thirteen.
Speaker 6 (40:31):
His name is Buddy, and it's been released in the
USA and Canada.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
Oh to have a father of Jamie Oliver and to
be able to have a book that the Canadians and
the Americans want. Ten point six million followers have been
told that Buddy's book, called Let's Cook is out.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
Very very sure, thirteen year old boy doing a cookbook.
Speaker 8 (40:49):
Maybe that's our level of cooking.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
Maybe I was certainly mine.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
Yeah, yeah, And tonight's recipe it's mac and cheese again.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Next page, Mac and cheese.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
And Emmy's are kicking off at ten this morning. There
is a huge nomination for Ben Steeller's thriller Severance. He's
ahead with twenty seven nominations, closely behind the Penguin with
twenty four. White Lotus has twenty three, and Seth Rogan's
