Robinie Kiff Now with Choreos the podcast. It's Robin Kip
Now Choreots on demand the podcast. Coming up at half time,
we're going to talk more about Charlie Kirk. You're here
throughout the show as it went to air today.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
We've got more and more information.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
First of all, we've heard that he'd been shot and
then we found out that he was confirmed killed at
a Q and a sort of like a rally, but
it's basically people asking him questions.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, and he goes out and they're all students at
a Utah University.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
But like there's been an assassination attempt on Trump.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Remember that's scraped here yep. Yeah, and it's terrifying it is,
and he's very he's come out he's.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Very pro Trump, this person Charlie, and so yeah, we're
going to discuss that because some of the other things
he's been very pro it seems could have been his undoing.
So we'll do that at halftime. Now with Correos the
podcast Future News out of the US this morning, and
(01:31):
Alana's been running this all morning. Charlie Kirk, thirty one
year old father, husband vocally pro Trump, anti trans and
pro guns, has been shot down by a sniper and killed. Yeah,
and we're going to talk with Harley in just a moment,
who was there.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
At the rally in Utah.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Before we get to that, we should give a trigger
warning because we have the audio of the moment it happened.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Incredibly.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
He was talking about gun violence in the actual moment
that he was shot, counting.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Or not counting.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Day one, Holly, good morning.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Hello, Hey Holly, how.
Speaker 7 (02:23):
I've been better?
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
So you're twenty years old, Hollie, and today you've seen
someone murdered run in front of you.
Speaker 7 (02:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Yeah, what happened NT.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
I was going to school. I have early morning classes.
I'm a college student, first year, and I heard about
this Charlie Kirk event. A couple of us have been
talking about it for a few days, and I wanted
to go and attend and see what it was like.
And it was super peaceful. I got there early. I
saved some spots for my friends. It was in a
grassy ample theater. The sky was clear, it was awesome,
(02:57):
and he started out and it was great, and then
It just turned so quickly when someone opened fire on Charlie,
and chaos and tragedy really did strike, and the whole
campus was just under lockdown, and.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
It was just a horrible, horrible experience, and not to
relive the trauma, But what did you actually see?
Speaker 7 (03:18):
I saw Charlie sitting there and someone had asked the question,
and before he could even answer it, he was opening
his mouth and someone had shot him in the neck.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
And when you heard it, did you know straightaway it
was a gunshot?
Speaker 8 (03:33):
I did.
Speaker 7 (03:33):
I'd kind of grown up around I gun hunting, you know,
I knew it was a gunshot. And honestly, before I
even saw like that it had happened to him, we
heard the gunshot, and then everyone started getting up and
freaking out and screaming. I mean, you really didn't know
what had just happened. If it was just him shot,
if there was multiple you didn't even know. No one
knew what was going on.
Speaker 9 (03:54):
Was it multiple shots or was it just the one?
Speaker 7 (03:57):
It was just I think it was just the one.
But there was so much screaming and terror. Honestly, you couldn't.
Speaker 10 (04:02):
You couldn't.
Speaker 7 (04:02):
There were thousands of students that you couldn't hear anything.
You just heard the one and it was it was
just chaos.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Holley.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
You went really close. Weren't you close to the front?
Speaker 10 (04:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (04:13):
I was in the third row.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
So are you worried for yourself? Did you like get
up and run with your friends?
Speaker 7 (04:19):
Yeah? I mean we just got up and started running.
I'm I don't even know what was going on. We
just started running and running out to the parking lot,
like we just all the students were just running. The
parking lot there on campus is pretty close to where
Charlie was speaking, so it was pretty accessible and it
just it was fight or flight like it just you
(04:39):
just ran and everyone just ran out to the parking
lot to their cars.
Speaker 9 (04:42):
Are these rallies like where he was speaking or whatever
it was. Is there a lot of security or are
they No?
Speaker 7 (04:49):
It's it's pretty open. There's sort of not really like
a loading dock, but like kind of an under sidewalk
area where he was loading all of his equipment in
his tent and where his tent was, and it wasn't
super secure. There's buildings surrounding at all, you know, classrooms
and things, and it's outdoors. It's outside obviously, and there
was this ample theater and there were so many people there.
(05:11):
I wouldn't say it was very secure at all.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
So, Halle, you know he's died, right, Yeah, I was.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
Made aware that he said he passed away.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
How do you feel about that?
Speaker 7 (05:24):
I I'm in shock. I just cannot believe that we
that this has happened. He I know that he has
a family, and that just breaks my heart that this
is something that started out so peopful terms, so tragic,
and now they have to live with this for the
(05:46):
rest of their lives like that just breaks my heart
for his family mostly.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Halle, you have seen something awful and we are so
grateful that you were able to tell us exactly what happened.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
But you take care of you, mate, and thank you
very much.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
Thank you you too.
Speaker 10 (06:02):
Bye bye.
Speaker 11 (06:04):
Now, Gloria.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
So it's you okay today?
Speaker 12 (06:10):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (06:11):
And I think this day is is huge. I feel
like it should be every day. Are you okay? I
think it's grown a lot. It's grown a lot in
the last five years, I believe, and look, it's it's
just it's just it's just it's honestly doing a simple
thing and asking people if they're okay. It's it's not
(06:32):
hard to do, and it's it's it's one of those
things where you don't know until you get asked, and
you don't know unless you ask. And and for me,
it was when I was playing foot and you know,
at the time it was two thousand and I think nineteen,
it was, Yeah, it was twenty nineteen. You know, Now
(06:55):
I look back, my career was going absolutely downhill fast,
and and you just don't know. When you're in that
world like that, in that space, you just don't believe it.
You don't listen to anyone and yeah, you just you
just keep thinking you're fine, you know you don't. But
now I look back, I was getting cranky. I just
snapping everyone, not believing everyone talking back, which I don't
(07:18):
like ever doing really yeah, and just just really hating everything,
to be honest, like, yeah, not not not enjoying anything,
but still thinking I was fine. And it took my
manager to actually just even sort of say one day
he has made life seriously, like what's going on? Are
you actually all right? And I'm like, no, I don't
(07:41):
actually think I am, so yeah, yeah that.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Was And what changed from that moment, Well.
Speaker 9 (07:48):
I really need to go and get help, and yeah,
I went, I went to a psychiatrist and what a psychologist? Sorry,
and I've seen I've seen that guy for the last
five years, six years, and I've seen him five times
a year. Yeah, right, because he just he changed my life.
And my manager still ask me now time people do
(08:11):
and ever since I went through that, I find it
so much easier now for me to open up. But
also asked that question and whether I think that the
person struggling or not. I just like doing it the
mates too, to people I think, you know at the time,
could be could be going through something. If they're not,
(08:32):
then great, I'm happy. I just want to make sure.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
If the answer is yeah, I'm fine, then that's it
didn't hurt anything question.
Speaker 9 (08:40):
Yeah, and that's all this is. It's just you know,
ring up your mate, ring up your your family and
just say are you okay? And you know it can
go a long way, It really can those three words
are you okay. It's just it's so important, I feel
like inside in our life and yeah, I think it's
it's it's a really important message.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
If the answer is no, what's the next question?
Speaker 4 (09:05):
It's interesting.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
They actually gave these little cards out today with for
are you okay? And alec is the I guess the acronym,
so are you okay? Listen encourage action, So, for example,
go and talk to someone professional and then check in.
Speaker 9 (09:19):
And that's if and that's what I also say if
they go, yep, check.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
In again okay, so keep saying if you don't, if.
Speaker 9 (09:25):
You don't believe it, you know, check in again. Yeah,
And if they're being honest and true, they should be
fine saying yeah, fin more good, and.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
I guess If the answer is no, I'm not, then
the follow up question is what can I do, which
is exactly what your manager that could have done.
Speaker 9 (09:42):
Yeah, yeah, he's like, and well yeah, I sort of said,
you know, what do I do now? And he said, well,
I can help you if you want.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Yeah, wow, And I said yeah please.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
It's like a Jerry Maguire style manager that there'll be
managers that will tell you no, you're doing great.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
Everyone else is the problem. But for him, they go
what's wrong with you or what's happening?
Speaker 9 (10:03):
Well he was just honest. He goes playing ship. Yeah, sorry, sorry,
but yeah, honesty.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Well you've been really honest, and that is going to
help a lot of people, so we should finish off
by saying, are.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
You okay right, I'm good.
Speaker 11 (10:21):
Here now with the podcast.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
I was so excited to see this this morning on
my feed. You know Chrissy Tigan. She's married to singer
John Legend. They've been married for like twelve years.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Was she a model first?
Speaker 5 (10:35):
She was a model.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
She's been on Sports Illustrated. She keeps getting canceled for
doing stuff. I'm not even going to go into the
multitude of things that she's done, but she it's very
public about her opinions, and often they're not very pcy.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
For bullying and stuff like that. So let's let me
play you this.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
She has appeared on the Dinner Time Live podcast, and
what I need to explain because it's not as clear
in what she says, is that she has to take
medication and she wakes up her husband to feed her.
Speaker 13 (11:08):
We take my nighttime mattercations at ten PM, and then
I wake up again at one. I place my order.
It gets to me by two, I eat it by
two fifteen, and then I go back to bed every
night without fail.
Speaker 9 (11:21):
John would make your hand when she sandwich put it by.
Speaker 13 (11:23):
That side, hell fully go downstairs at the time.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Yeah, you have her here.
Speaker 9 (11:26):
When I first heard that, I thought that was maybe
not the truth. And John was like no, no, no, no, Like.
Speaker 13 (11:33):
I can nudge him and I'll be like, way if
I want a sandwich, and he will be like okay.
He's so robotic, he's like all right, sandwich time.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
That's how most people know him, just as a sandwich robot,
the sandwich robot.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
So what At one in the morning, she wakes him
up and says, I need a toasted sandwich, and then
he goes down says, this is a bit of John legend.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
This is a song he wrote for her.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Right, this is a song he wrote for her.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
He's desperately in love with his wife and will do
anything that she needs that makes her happy.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
It does. He does say, I love all your imperfections.
Speaker 9 (12:07):
There's a lot of us.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
That's too much. It's so much. She's abusing his love.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Yes, for her, He's a grown adult. He make his
own mind. That is pure love. That's a choice he's.
Speaker 11 (12:19):
Making to say whatever.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
My wife, I am going to deliver.
Speaker 9 (12:22):
No, not one in the morning.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
Why what do you mean?
Speaker 12 (12:28):
Why would you be happy if I wake up every
morning one in the morning.
Speaker 9 (12:31):
And said, go get me some food.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Okay, Legend does not work a nine to five job.
You don't even know whether he like he can sleep
in till midday?
Speaker 9 (12:41):
What does what does she do?
Speaker 11 (12:42):
Well, she's the.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
Same, She doesn't have a nine to five job.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
So their lives are not controlled by the normal routines
that one am.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Would dictate to.
Speaker 11 (12:52):
And even still I don't care.
Speaker 12 (12:54):
I think that.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
In the morning, make your own sandwich.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yes, don't you have nice things like Olivia? And my
boyfriend gets up and makes me a coffee every time.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
I go to work.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
That's very nice.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Well, if I drive from the Gold from the Sunny coast,
it's two thirty in the month morning.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Yeah, I mean that coffee is all right, that's nice.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
Good on him.
Speaker 9 (13:16):
Yeah, I'd probably be like, yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Feel like someone needs to remind or.
Speaker 9 (13:22):
Is just saying to get out something about the best.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
Someone needs to remind John Legend that he's doing a legend.
Speaker 12 (13:27):
You know, Legend, what do you think that is? Actually?
Speaker 4 (13:32):
I reckon she knows that he is like a lovesick puppy,
and she's abusing it.
Speaker 9 (13:36):
She's abusing their love. I couldn't agree more that.
Speaker 5 (13:38):
Said, were you trying to say, like it's a toxic thing.
It is.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
I don't want to say abuse, but it's wrong.
Speaker 9 (13:47):
Like you said, they both don't have nine to five jobs.
Speaker 12 (13:50):
She doesn't either, if you want that.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Because she has meditation that needs her to have food,
going to have.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
So then make a sandwich.
Speaker 9 (13:59):
Actually turn it a bit. I don't know what she
does for him in return.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
There must be something.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
There's got to be something, because that's too for thirty
one oh sixty five.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Is that just is a pure unadulterated love or is
it toxic?
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Oh my goodness, I've got to clearly I care about
this because I can't speak. Yeah, but like surely he's
a man who's making his own mind up and that
is his choice.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
He's not he's got the love blinkers on.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
Yeah, isn't that the sweetest?
Speaker 4 (14:29):
It's thirty six five.
Speaker 11 (14:33):
Now Orios the podcast.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Right now, we're talking about this story Chrissy Tigue And
she was on a on a podcast.
Speaker 5 (14:41):
Yeah, Dinner Time Live podcast, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
And she said this about her husband, John Legend, requiring
him to get up, she said, ordering him to get
up and make a sandwich.
Speaker 13 (14:52):
We take my nighttime medications at ten pm, and then
I wake up again at one, I place my order.
Speaker 11 (14:59):
It gets to me by two.
Speaker 13 (15:00):
I eat it by two fifteen, and then I got
back to bed.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Every night without sail, every night without fat.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
So she nudges John Legend and he gets up and
doesn't John.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Legend, he's really taking this song to heart?
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Do I know that if I'd been married for twelve
years like they had, that I would do that. But
I reserved the right for a couple to be in
love to make those choices for themself.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
That's not too much.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
That's like it happens like maybe you know, I remember
my when my my brother's wife was pregnant. He would
have to wake up every night and make her a
milo at midnight.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
I get that. That's fine. That's a different thing.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
What happens to Lisa, your sister?
Speaker 4 (15:41):
She does get a coffee every morning from Rick? What
my husband? Like? He gets he gets out of her
get he goes to get.
Speaker 12 (15:48):
Forced to it up.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
No, and he goes back and we all look at
Rick like, come on, mate, you don't need to do that.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
I'm all for that.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
It is it love or is it toxic? Die of
calum Vai Hi.
Speaker 6 (16:01):
Hi Robin, I think if the roles were reversed, you'd
have a big problem with so much offering to do
it for someone.
Speaker 8 (16:09):
It's waking someone up and as you say, demanding that
he makes her something that's going to.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Be a real But don't you think someone has the
capacity as an adult to just say no.
Speaker 6 (16:21):
Again.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I think if the roles were reversed, and if it
was a man saying to a woman, get up and make.
Speaker 8 (16:26):
Me some food, yea, all have an issue with.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
That because she said, I place my order, Chrissy, yeah,
sandwich me yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Now now good point.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
Die Sarah of North Lakes, what do you think?
Speaker 8 (16:41):
I think it's romantic. My husband does the same thing.
He noticed that I work up at one am because
I graze every four hours, so he sat an alarm
and he was there waiting for the sandwich when I
woke up.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
What's hot?
Speaker 8 (16:54):
And then I get addicted to things like, you know,
a doughnut or something, So every day after work he'll
get that for me until I'm sick of it after
a month. It's just his own language.
Speaker 12 (17:02):
That's okay, that's not one of the morning though.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Morning One of the morning.
Speaker 8 (17:07):
To give me a sandwich or something.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
You been married, Sarah.
Speaker 8 (17:11):
Two years, two years ago, two years.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Let's ring.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Let's just check in again in a coupling. In the meantime,
I'm going to give this. This is mostly for your
husband so he can do less. This is one hundred
dollars to spend at Galactic Donuts for you.
Speaker 8 (17:29):
He will that he's addicted to donuts.
Speaker 11 (17:34):
Now with Co the podcast.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Brisbane's Biggest ever Birthday Party.
Speaker 14 (17:40):
Brisbane's biggest birthday party is coming put together by a
man who just found out what fairy bread is.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Wait, what, It's just bread and sprinkles. That's genius.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
And Buddy your clown, haven't you got homework or something
else you can do Brisbane's biggest birthday body.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
Oh, and Butter your clown. I can work out what
is Buddy? What's Buddy your clown? And Butter your clown?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (18:03):
My lord with me twelve year old?
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Okay, Yes, you've been getting some flak from the kid's
core as you put together this party. This is the
first time you've ever had to organize a birthday party.
Speaker 9 (18:14):
I felt like it was paid back for when I
was a kid. All this, all this stuff I was
giving all the.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Parents yeah, maybe, or maybe it's paid back for all
the work you haven't done for fatiguing wife all the above,
because you worked out the venue yesterday and that got
approval from our eight year old party plan. And Mackenzie, seriously,
have you heard of area fifty one at Underwood.
Speaker 10 (18:34):
Yes, that's where I had my sixth birthday?
Speaker 9 (18:37):
Oh is that a tick for me? Yes?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
I did?
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Yes, beautiful.
Speaker 10 (18:41):
Of course I've got one question for you.
Speaker 8 (18:44):
Yeah, Mackenzie, did your wife help you with that?
Speaker 12 (18:47):
Why do you see that?
Speaker 10 (18:48):
Yes, it's a pretty good idea.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
It's a fair assumption.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
An area of fifty one the old Bunnings.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Oh is it because you're saying it's as big as
a bunny Old Bunnings and where it.
Speaker 12 (19:01):
Is, yes, Bunnings close.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Yes, so that even makes it even more appropriate that you're.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Doing a birthday.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Yeah, they moved, they went there. There are sight down
the road the Bunnings, and so that.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
It running.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Yeah, you're getting excited.
Speaker 9 (19:16):
I might go find some cheap tools something inside the walls. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Well, today we have a new challenge for your Corey,
because something that's very important at kids' birthday parties is
the gift.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Bag at the end the party bag. And I only
know this because I forgot them at raphics.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
And they didn't forget You just didn't do it well.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
I didn't even know it was the thing exactly, and
it was a disaster. It's not a thing.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
What not putting on your underwear every morning?
Speaker 12 (19:44):
Are you joking?
Speaker 3 (19:45):
I didn't realize, And then the kids were just started
asking me towards it.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
So just before we go there, where are the party bags?
I haven't seen that.
Speaker 5 (19:53):
Yeah, because we need to get so high on sugar
to annoy a.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Pair, that's what they seem like a terrible idea.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
But you can register if you would like to join us.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
We're gonna have two hundred and fifty people there at
Area fifty one, so you can register right now. Tell
us why you or your kid needs to be there.
Kiss ninety seven three dot com are you? But your
challenge today, Corey, you've got a laptop in front of you,
is to organize two hundred and fifty party bags now
this quickly.
Speaker 9 (20:17):
This is one of the produced laptops and there's a
lot of files on the screen right. Some of these
files are saying things I don't really like Corey. Tattoo
one of them, says Kip in the nets.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Okay, they just ideas someone's written down.
Speaker 9 (20:33):
I think you're go on the nets, don't.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
I don't think you should delve too deep. Just find
the internet browser, okay, because we think you're going to find.
You need to find a way.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
And here's the here's the kicker.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
You need two hundred and fifty bags and your budget
is five hundred dollars two.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Bucks of bag, two bucks a bag.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
You can do that easy.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
You should be able.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
To tooth picks.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
No, it's got to be stuff for kids.
Speaker 12 (20:56):
Fifty five hundred bucks. That's not much.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Should we do? We give them the big clue?
Speaker 5 (21:01):
Come on, Corey, have you ever shopped online overseas?
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Yeah? Just think think about Justina.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Kip used to be really ridiculous things from here with
t and ends in move.
Speaker 9 (21:18):
The internet.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Listening.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
You've got until nine o'clock till the end of the show.
We'll check in. It's only a three hours show.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
It'll take him that long.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Okay. So there's your challenge.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
You got two hundred and fifty party bags five underbucks.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
Go for it.
Speaker 11 (21:39):
He now with co the podcast.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Halfway through the podcast, Yes, let's talk more about about
Charlie Kirk, the activists in the US who was shot today.
He was on stage at a Q and A at
a university in Utah and got shot in the neck
by the look at Things by Suffer.
Speaker 9 (21:58):
And it was the craziest thing is he was asked about.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
His on.
Speaker 9 (22:09):
Their gun laws.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Should we play that, We've got that bit again and
trigger warning again that yeah, this is it's pretty graphic
to hear, but yeah, he's being asked about gun laws
right here.
Speaker 11 (22:24):
Or not.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
So that question, if you missed it, was do you
know how many mass shootings there's been in America this
year already? And then he sort of counters counting or
not counting gun gang violence, which I guess is.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
Yeah, I don't know, but.
Speaker 9 (22:43):
I love it that as in like it was, you know,
it could have been like a setup.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
The timing of it is.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
I feel like that, and you wonder, I mean, we
don't there's someone who I think has been pulled into
questioning but hasn't been charged. You know, it might be
interesting to see. Yeah, well, at this point that we're
recording this, it has not been. But whether there are
more people because it feels a bit like the assassination
of J F.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
Kennedy.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Like it was high up in a window and it
was a single sniper, someone who clearly knew what But
and if you, I do not recommend looking at the
video and certainly most people have just stopped it at
the moment that the gun shot is heard. But there's
a lot of people around him too. And remember with
the Trump shooting, other people were collateral damage to that.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
Yeah, yes that's right.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
So I don't I mean, I don't think nothing like
what I There was no one else impacted.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
There was one shot.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Yeah, but you know, like that's just so scary.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
It's such a because it's such an interesting thing because
you have these moments. I mean, he's a dad, right,
and he should be allowed to say you should be
allowed to speak in mind. I mean, freedom of speech
is not worldwide, but it's certainly a big thing in America.
You should be able to give your opinion on things,
whether or not people disagree. However, one of his opinions
(24:03):
is that, you know, Americans should all be allowed to
hold guns if they want to. And we all know
as Australians that that's stupid. Yeah, what I mean, like
we're we live in such a lucky country, because it's
just that the idea of being afraid all the time,
of someone in traffic, having a gun, being somewhere and
knowing that that because Susan, my my friend, who has
(24:23):
moved here from the States, she's she's been here five
six years now, and she was saying it took three
years for her to go to a cafe and not.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
Check the exits. Really every time every time she goes
just instinct.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Every time I sit down, I go, this is where
I'd run, That's where I would escape.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Because kids do that, don't They like it's part of
their drills of being in class.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
It's like if we have you know, if we have
a terrorist attack or a.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Mas that's all that She's like, you know, Adam's trying
to get her to move back to the States.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Her She's like, I love it here. I love the safety.
Speaker 9 (25:02):
Even we go on holidays, when we just went driving
around in Vegas, in Vegas when it was but even
before that, when I went to La with Tiagan driving
around or even why you know, the things that would
ping me off and driving and traffic and stuff, Well
you know you're here, Yeah, we give them the bird. Yeah,
(25:25):
I'd just like they probably got a gun shoot me. Yeah,
I'm doing like so it scares It's.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Riddled me this though, like didn't isn't. One of the
most controversial things he said is that someone asked him
about a mass shooting and what what did he say?
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Yeah, they're talking to him about there'd been six children
killed in Nashville in another school shooting, and his response was,
it's worth it for those deaths, you know, while tragic,
worth it to keep the Second Amendment alive, which you know,
the right to bear arms.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
And so you could.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Imagine if you were one of those parents, That's what
I mean, that's where I was.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
Yeah, you would absolutely go is it now? Is it
worth it?
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (26:08):
Right, I mean we have no idea, it's all you
see that you could say, and.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
You could justify it in your mind if you as
a parent, you could justify it that you would go, Okay, well,
if it was worth it for my kid to die,
and it's worth for you to die, then is it?
Speaker 5 (26:19):
And then what would America do with that?
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Nothing? But it's also unfortunately, you know, as absurd as
it is. Nothing, nothing will happen with.
Speaker 9 (26:28):
His following with what he speaks about and how open
he is about it all. Surely someone along the lines
we said, mate, you should really look into some security,
some high security, because of what you do. Look at
what happened to Trump, like you know, I know he's
but it's it's hand in hand like for what they
talk about and they belief. Yeah, I just I really
(26:50):
thought that there would have been some sort of more
like some sort of security or just a bit of
awareness or.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
I wonder if if he could answer the question was it.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Worth it voice your opinion way?
Speaker 9 (27:04):
And then you really just feel for his family now kids,
and it's it's so sad.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Yeah, yeah, it's definitely not fair.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
No, anyway, do yourself as a favor and don't watch
the I don't.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Watch the video and just and be thankful.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
In Australia in the sting of the podcast, this is
where we are now.
Speaker 11 (27:24):
With Choreos the podcast.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Give Me a Care with Robin Kid and Coyotes.
Speaker 6 (27:33):
This is Confessions for Cash.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
If you've got a confession, you've got a story to tell,
get it off your chest.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
We've got thousands to give aways.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Just head to kiss ninety seven three dot com dot
AU we're about to check in on yesterday's confessors. Well,
it started with Sam giving us the first confession to Shiana,
her fiance.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
Five years ago.
Speaker 6 (27:58):
I accidentally committed elin manslaughter. I just knew this was
my girlfriend's everything. I run over her cat. I buried
it in the backyard.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
She was so upset.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
I helped to make missing cat posters, but actually burned them.
Speaker 8 (28:13):
I didn't really put.
Speaker 6 (28:14):
Them around because I knew that cat wasn't coming home.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
It was belon. But Shiana was pretty quick with her
own confession.
Speaker 10 (28:24):
Why we want to be randomly honest right now? And
remember that snake they used to have, Well, I left
the snake tank open because when Ringy went missing, you
were so cold you weren't even helping me. So I
wanted you to feel the exact name. So I left
your snake tank open.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Welcome back, guys.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
We thought we should do a welfare check to see
how everyone's feeling after the confession.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
How are you feeling, Shiana?
Speaker 10 (28:49):
Yeah, well we're doing well. Definitely went home and had
quite a big chat. But look, we're working on it.
I think we definitely need to work on just being
a bit more honest with each other. Yeah, No, we're
working through it, so definitely doing a lot better than mover.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
It wasn't the fact that your beloved cat, it's the
fact she lied about it.
Speaker 10 (29:12):
Yeah that was Yeah, that's why I said to us,
it's the part that really hurt the most. But at
the end of the day, what's done has done now.
So we about to be honest with each other in
the in the future and we're working on us.
Speaker 9 (29:27):
And can I just clear up you saying that you
let the snake out on purpose. That wasn't a lie.
Speaker 10 (29:31):
Wasn't no, no, no, no, that that dint happen. So
I mean I'm just as bad as what she did
as well as she was being a little bit intensive,
so I decided to leave it open and didn't like
the snake anyway, So I think I was being a
bit petty.
Speaker 11 (29:50):
Yeah, yeah, sad.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
I mean it still sounds like there's some justification there.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
Look, things are pretty intense. I mean, like you said,
we did have a really long chat. I think now
it's just trying to rebuild the foundation on our relationship
built on like transparency and just being honest with you
other and maybe less pettiness and.
Speaker 10 (30:13):
Left life.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
Less like, it's not no lies.
Speaker 11 (30:20):
Let's go with no life.
Speaker 6 (30:22):
We just want to build sort of a healthier relationship,
sort of hold better standards for ourselves moving forward.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
It sounds like we already have the answer, but let's
just double check you. Are we still engaged?
Speaker 8 (30:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (30:33):
Yes, nice is good. We're not Yeah, we're not in
the business of breaking people. That's great.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
Have we got any pets in the household?
Speaker 12 (30:44):
We?
Speaker 10 (30:44):
I mean we have a dog? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (30:46):
Do we both like the dog?
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah, that's a great week saving sound that the dogs
are well not Not only did you score five hundred
dollars for your confession, but we also want to upgrade it.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Guys. We want to send you out to see a show. Yeah,
there's a great show coming back to q pack. You
might have heard it.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Cats is on at Let Them Memory Live Again at

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Visit Cats the musical.
Speaker 10 (31:17):
That's so funny.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
We would have also got your tickets to Snakes if
that was available.
Speaker 10 (31:24):
We appreciate it anyway.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Again, Well, thank you for share guys and enjoyed the show.
What's the big song from Cats?
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Man?
Speaker 6 (31:46):
Didn't know the welfare check in check out the.
Speaker 12 (31:51):
Now.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
Yesterday on the show, Corey you were telling us about
the Order of Australia, which your father in law, Miles
was presented yes day, day before, day before, and and
the whole family, everyone but you, yep, was there.
Speaker 9 (32:11):
I didn't get the invite passed on to me, is
what I believe.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
And your six year old daughter, Monty looked adorable in
the sweetest little summer dress.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
Honestly, I was much more impressed by that. Really well done, Jean.
Speaker 15 (32:22):
Yeah, yeah, And look she's she looks all sweet and honest,
and she is very honest sometimes, yes, And she wasn't
happy with the food they served up, cucumber and tomato
sandwiches and goat cheese sliders, and apparently Montana said to
I don't like this.
Speaker 9 (32:40):
Can I go ask her if she's got any chicken?
Speaker 4 (32:43):
Crippish?
Speaker 3 (32:44):
And she pointed out, excuse me, governor, do you have
any chicken?
Speaker 1 (32:53):
We should say that this was an official ceremony at
Government House and our governor, our Queensland governor, is doctor
Jeannette Young, Yes, who saw.
Speaker 5 (33:02):
Us through COVID.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Yeah, maybe you would have seen her every day on
TV every twenty minutes, leading.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
The health departments and giving us all our updates. Now
I have an update for you. There's a couple of
things you need to know. I have heard little whispers
from people. I know that there is a suggestion box at.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
Government Plus because we are a democracy.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Yes, so anyone can add suggestions to the suggestion box. Yes,
and that I believe has.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
Been added to the box chicken crimpy.
Speaker 12 (33:37):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
The other thing you need to know is that the
governor is aware of what happens. Really, she has been
notified that a little six year old girl wanted to
go ask her for chicken crimpy is a slight catch.
Government House I think like two governors ago decided that
(34:01):
to enable for us to support Queensland produce that with
ninety percent of things served at Government House would be
grown here.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
Right.
Speaker 5 (34:12):
Chicken crimpies are an Arnot's product.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Yes, that's Australian. Isn't it still Australian? Yes?
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Yes Queensland No what originally created in Newcastle in five
but this might be the decider. We have a massive
Arnets factory obviously at Virginia, which employs a lot of Queensland.
Speaker 12 (34:34):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
And chicken crimpies are a much loved school.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Yes, so if they're made here, that's surely enough.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
If you if you've got the inside word, anyone that's
working at Arnot's Virginia, if you could let us know,
do we make the crimpies here so we can get
them on?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Yes, and look the governor, we are we are trying
really hard to get Jeanette Young, doctor Jeanette Young to
come on, but she is doing more ceremonies today.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
Come on, what's more than getting chicken crempies both of
the menu?
Speaker 12 (35:07):
We need, we need this, this done, we need Okay,
it is settled.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Yeah, come on, will you die on this hill? All right?
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Okay, take it back.
Speaker 11 (35:20):
A note kid, Now with Correos the podcast.
Speaker 14 (35:27):
Brisbane's Biggest Birthday Party is coming put together by a
man who just found out what fairy bread is.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Wait what, it's just Brendon Spreakles.
Speaker 10 (35:37):
That's genius and buddy a clown.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Haven't you got homework or something else you can do
Brisbane's Biggest Birthday Boy.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
So we've got a few things locked in already.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Because we are hosting Brisbane's Biggest birthday party two hundred
and fifty kids.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
It's going to be massive and we know that it's
going to be an area fifty one. This was locked
in yesterday on the show. You tried to get it
at the racetrack.
Speaker 9 (35:59):
Well, I thought racetrack covers all of that. Yeah, parents
would enjoy it and the kids.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
But instead Area fifty one has come through with the
good So Wednesday, twenty fourth of September.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
It's during school holidays.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
You can register for it right now at Kiss ninety
seven three dot com dot au. During this process, we've
come across Mackenzie who's eight years old and seems to
know her way around planning parties because she's planning her
own ninth and so we talked to her about the
venue yesterday. Seriously, have you heard of Area fifty one
at Underwood?
Speaker 8 (36:29):
Yes, that's where.
Speaker 10 (36:30):
I had my sixth birthday?
Speaker 12 (36:32):
Oh is that a tick for me?
Speaker 10 (36:33):
Yes?
Speaker 11 (36:34):
He did, beautiful coury.
Speaker 10 (36:37):
I got one question for you, Yeah, Mackenzie, did your
wife help you with that?
Speaker 4 (36:42):
Why would you say that?
Speaker 10 (36:43):
Yes, it's a pretty good idea.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
And we have had confirmed on our text line of
four O nine nine seven three ninety seven three by
Michael that yes, Area fifty one was the old Underwood Bunning.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
Yeah right, Jesus, just that's you. What a playground. That's massive. Yeah,
so that is happening.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
And then this morning from six o'clock, right after the
start of the show, Corey, we set you the challenge
to do party bags because we know they're important to
the kids. There's going to be two hundred fifty people there,
so you need to organize two hundred and fifty party bags.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
We gave you five.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
Hundred dollars budget, which meant you probably had to go.
Speaker 5 (37:23):
To t mooh pushing you there.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Yeah, and there you were, like you at seven o'clock
you said, I've got it, I'm done. And then since then,
I've seen a lot of frustration over there.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
What's happening?
Speaker 9 (37:35):
So I have a computer at AIM What do you
do it?
Speaker 12 (37:39):
Okay, it doesn't turn off itself?
Speaker 4 (37:42):
What the computer? Yeah? The time out?
Speaker 9 (37:43):
It just is itself. Yeah, yeah, it's it's Yeah, everything's
gone and I can't get back in.
Speaker 5 (37:49):
Well, just ask Claire whose computer it is. For the
past words, you.
Speaker 9 (37:53):
Won't give it to me.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
You did not, You didn't. You tried to mission impossible.
Your way is to like crack the code. Now you're
locked out.
Speaker 9 (38:00):
Yeah, anyway, that's unfortunate for me.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
What did you what did you.
Speaker 9 (38:04):
Have a tom Ford client which was nice just for
party bags, a fifty party bags.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Yeah, the actual bags yep, no, no, no, I just.
Speaker 9 (38:14):
Had a picture of them.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Okay, so the bags and then what's in it?
Speaker 12 (38:19):
Well?
Speaker 9 (38:19):
I found this thing. It was two and fifty pieces
of toys, so two hundred fifth fifty toys per pack.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
Yeah, well six of them. What kind like?
Speaker 9 (38:28):
Well Mackenzie wanted slinky so I've got slinkies. Well, the
little planes, little.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
Heaps, Mackenzie, those these toys that he's organized sound okay.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
To start with? Yes they do, yeah, okay, the little
plastic slinkies and some other things.
Speaker 9 (38:45):
Yes, what else that's it?
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Is?
Speaker 12 (38:48):
That?
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Is that enough? It's no.
Speaker 8 (38:53):
What do you mean my kid to expect five things
or six?
Speaker 4 (38:59):
Five or six things?
Speaker 9 (39:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (39:01):
And can they all just be toys or just various toys?
Speaker 9 (39:05):
Well?
Speaker 11 (39:05):
That's also these food like where's the lowest?
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Where the lowest scoring?
Speaker 9 (39:09):
I don't feed?
Speaker 4 (39:11):
What about the sweets? It's not about this.
Speaker 5 (39:13):
This is a healthy path you have to have, right Mackenzie.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Yeah, it's kind of every breath.
Speaker 9 (39:19):
I'm an athlete. I don't give I don't give.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Any lolly that sits in front of you, you Scott,
you can't start and see them.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
Okay, So we're allowed to have.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
What you're saying, Mackenzie is like four like toys and
they've got to be different and then at least one lolly,
is that right?
Speaker 4 (39:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (39:37):
And the toys could be from China, but I'm assuming
the lollies you probably want local?
Speaker 10 (39:43):
Yeah, maybe choice?
Speaker 3 (39:45):
What is it?
Speaker 10 (39:47):
Choice?
Speaker 11 (39:47):
Choice?
Speaker 5 (39:48):
Choice, Tom's confectionery were okay?
Speaker 9 (39:52):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (39:53):
And I reckon if we're giving them to children, you
have to have them something fruit?
Speaker 4 (40:02):
What about any any fruit? Acceptable? McKenzie? No, okay, no fruit?
What about a lollie that shape like a fruit? Put
pineapples in there?
Speaker 11 (40:13):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (40:14):
Is there anything else we're missing? Mackenzie?
Speaker 10 (40:19):
Maybe you should have a pr PR.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
Pinadah. Yeah, we got hats and party hats. Okay, thanks Mackenzie,
Thank you. Your input is invaluable as always.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Okay, so you've got lollies to take care of it
sounds like a pinada.
Speaker 9 (40:37):
You got a busy day, You're a pinada.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
This is your party mate.
Speaker 9 (40:41):
