Why here?
Speaker 7 (02:06):
We can surely come on, Ali, our boss, can we
take Corey to Vegas?
Speaker 5 (02:11):
What am I going to do?
Speaker 10 (02:12):
If you become a Backstreet Boy, learn the move, sing
the songs, we will go to Vegas.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
And he did it.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
He did it?
Speaker 5 (02:20):
Yeah did I?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (02:21):
The video Dan, it was awesome.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
Actually he's a little bit of the singing part.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Of this is Corey right.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Check out the video because he's in all white and
it's pretty awesome.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
And he's in all white again today but now he's
Elvis because we're meeting our finalists today. Today's the day
we announced the winner who's coming with us to Vegas.
So we're meeting some of our finalists right now.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
We've had people squirreled away in the building and the
first person to introduce you to is TESSI.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Hi, test, coming on that microphone test?
Speaker 11 (02:58):
How you feeling nervous excited?
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, you're a massive Backstreet Boys fan, massive massive And.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
That song we just played is your favorite song?
Speaker 6 (03:06):
It is?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Is it true that you guy, you and your sister
had dance routine for Backstreet Boys?
Speaker 11 (03:11):
We did definitely typical kids.
Speaker 12 (03:14):
Look a few of them, mom, there's a bit of
a chair routine in one of them that probably is.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
In my memory somewhere.
Speaker 12 (03:20):
The backstories back line is obviously the you know, the
main one we know.
Speaker 11 (03:23):
But yeah, I definitely reckon. There's a few moves up
in there.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
So tell me about you. Are you married, if you've
got kids?
Speaker 12 (03:29):
Yeah, so I'm married, I have two kids. Yeah, just
living the mum life.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
And so taking your husband, taking your friend who you
brought with you?
Speaker 12 (03:39):
No, So I actually just was like, to obviously take
my sister. It was the first person I thought of
we did the dances together until you know, when I
told my husband I got through on radio, he.
Speaker 11 (03:49):
Was like, oh, I'll have to put in for time
off work, and I was like, oh, and I saw
it in.
Speaker 12 (03:55):
Thinking that, like there's no way I would win, like
people get through on the shortlist, right stand by list.
So I just thought nothing of it, and it's sort
of evolved into this. Oh, he still doesn't know that
my sister is the one I'm taking.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
So oh so if you do win this morning, he
will be surprised to find out that he's not going
to Vegas.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yeah, what do you think your chances are?
Speaker 12 (04:17):
I mean, now that I'm here, I feel like the
chances have improved significantly. But yeah, it's certainly not a
done deal. So yeah, just excited to be here. It's
cool experience, but kind of also was weird not being
able to tell him about it.
Speaker 11 (04:29):
So he has an idea, I'm here.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Oh man, well we do have something to tell your tests.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Going to Vegas.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
There?
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Oh my god, yes, so so you're coming to.
Speaker 11 (04:57):
Oh my god, I'm so excited.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
No idea, I'm looking at We're joking.
Speaker 11 (05:02):
I just covered.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
So watch your sister's name Helen, Helen.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Okay, so now who do we need to call first,
Helen or you have to tell him? Let's let's give
the good news first, mate.
Speaker 11 (05:15):
Yeah, okay, oh my god, I'm so sure.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Now with the podcast, if you've just joined us.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
We have Tests in the studio with us from Cedar
Grove and Tests has just found out that she is
coming to Vegas with us.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
Oh my god, what do you do for a living test?
Speaker 11 (05:34):
I'm a police officer.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Now hang on now, now that's what are you allowed
to have fun?
Speaker 5 (05:44):
In focus?
Speaker 11 (05:45):
I'm allowed to have fine people do?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (05:48):
Okay, all right, because.
Speaker 11 (05:50):
You're allowed to legal fun?
Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Okay, yeah? What was a lot of stuffers legal.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
In Vegas?
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Stay unless you're a radio announce that's true.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Now we we know that you're not going to take
your husband. We haven't broken that news to him yet,
but you are taking your sister.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Helen, who is on the phone right now. Hey Helen, Hello,
how are you going?
Speaker 1 (06:16):
How are you Your sister Tests has something to tell you.
Speaker 11 (06:19):
We're going to Vegas.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yes, So do you remember doing the dance moves in
the lounge room growing up?
Speaker 6 (06:30):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (06:30):
Of course, yeah that what was a chair for the
chairs for?
Speaker 4 (06:38):
I wanted that way? Was the chair routine?
Speaker 9 (06:40):
I want it that way?
Speaker 5 (06:41):
Okay with the chair?
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Okay, Well we can always do you feel about being
back up dancers?
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Because Corey's learned the routine and there are many Streaks
in Vegas.
Speaker 11 (06:55):
Yeah, it's fine, that's happening.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
You take the lead.
Speaker 11 (06:59):
We're in the crowd.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Yeah, excellent.
Speaker 11 (07:02):
Well make the money to spend.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
Actually we may lose a bit, so we.
Speaker 5 (07:08):
We don't need that, okay, dative.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
So Helen, how did you get the ticket? How come
Aaron her husband isn't going?
Speaker 13 (07:15):
Oh I got not a clue.
Speaker 11 (07:18):
I'm just really thankful.
Speaker 13 (07:19):
I was like, oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
And have you got kids as well, Helen?
Speaker 13 (07:25):
I do.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
I have two kids.
Speaker 11 (07:27):
They're older seventeen, eighteen.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Okay, okay, so you don't even have to worry about babysitting.
You can just go and have fun. Yeah that they're
actually can't have twenty one plus you're.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Going to be jealous or happy for you?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Oh, they'll be happy. Is it true, Helen, that your
eighteen year old daughter had to come and save you too?
Speaker 6 (07:49):
Probably?
Speaker 12 (07:50):
What's the story the Milatta Bar surf club quite recently recently?
Speaker 6 (07:55):
What happened happened?
Speaker 12 (07:58):
We went out for a dinner and Alan said, go
get us a glass of wine.
Speaker 11 (08:03):
So I obviously came back with.
Speaker 12 (08:04):
A bottle, and then next minute we had to get
someone responsible to drive up.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
It is cheap that's right. Yeah, I mean you're not
an animal.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Now give me with Robin kipped and coyotes.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
This is confessions for cash.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
So this was a little bit of yesterday's confession birth car.
Speaker 9 (08:37):
She was very prettyantic about it, always watching up for it,
and I used to park behind her. And I got
home late one night and I didn't put the handbrake
on properly, and my car has rolled into the back
of hers. And yeah, it's chips, quite a significant size
(08:57):
chunks of paint off.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
We have more cash.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
By the way, if you have more confessions kiss ninety
seven three dot com dot au.
Speaker 5 (09:03):
Does that mean I eat cash? This then.
Speaker 7 (09:08):
A look made me remember something that I was only
proud of. But I was seventeen at the time, and
I just obviously moved to Brisbane my first car, and
I was parked at the South Bank, you know.
Speaker 6 (09:24):
Yeah, I was just about on this.
Speaker 7 (09:28):
I got given an old Ford Falcon a great grandparent
in that past, so it was theirs and that got totaled.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
It was my fault. But anyway, I ended up I
bought a holding Commodore.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Okay, there stand little cross codes there back into the Commodo.
Speaker 7 (09:45):
Around anyway, and I was reversing out of my park
at the car park under the South Bank because you know,
they were tight. Yeah, like took a couple of guys
and I'm like, oh, yep, sweet. And as I've taken
my foot off, it's like roll back still and I
felt like, I'm like, oh.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
No, And those cars were so heavy, like you could
it could, thing would hurt them, they would hurt everything else.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
And it's there.
Speaker 7 (10:14):
I'm like, oh, come on anyway, I get out and
I moved forward a little bit obviously, and I checked mine.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
I'm like, oh, I don't care about my car.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Yeah, a little bit there fine, you.
Speaker 7 (10:25):
Know plastic the back so like you Diad said, kick
with your foot and you can put a big d.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Did you dented it or the other And then I
checked the other car.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
I'm like, oh no, it's all good. Yeah, it looks
all right. That's fine.
Speaker 7 (10:37):
And I went I went and don my car. Now
check one more time, yes, another quick one.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
I don't want to ruin there. And I've checked.
Speaker 7 (10:43):
I'm like, oh was that from me? Just a little
just a didn't like a little din Now I'm like,
there's no, there's no scratch, okay, But I can't afford this.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
I was seventeen, did you say.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Yeah, I was on nothing.
Speaker 7 (10:59):
I was on like a faston bucks, blaying footy and
then I was working, so I had and I'm like,
there's no one downny, So I've jumped under his car
and I've popped there.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
You popped it out, yourself popped it.
Speaker 6 (11:11):
Out, so you punched it or like pushed it.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
I had to punch it out in the end.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Something like it wasn't a cheek car and you were
panel beating with your fist.
Speaker 7 (11:26):
And I'm like, no, no, it was one of those
big dants where like a crease, you know, yeah, the
crease or crack. So yeah, and then I popped out
and I'm like, like anyone could have seen me, honestly
if they were there.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
And I've gotten up my life. Now that looks sweet.
That's all good and just gone.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
So you didn't leave out, but you, I mean you
effectively fixed it.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
You fixed it.
Speaker 7 (11:48):
I fixed it because it wasn't a massive hit, like
I didn't like run into it, Like.
Speaker 6 (11:53):
You don't think there's anything wrong with that.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
I actually think that is a good thing. He doesn't
know or she doesn't know. There's no angst. There's no
insurers involved, and you just punched out someone else.
Speaker 7 (12:05):
I'm pretty sure there's cameras down there when I looked
around nowadays, what would you do nowadays?
Speaker 5 (12:11):
I've left the ladder. It happened not that long ago.
Speaker 7 (12:14):
I rolled into another honestly, you enrolling me and rolling
just that the car is getting heavier.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
You need to get you need to get a hatchback. Yeah,
should be a golf I.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Rolled into a car recently and I end up leaving
a note contact.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Yeah, because three panels.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
You did quite a bit of that's.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
Quite a bit of rolling right there.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Roll.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
Yeah, she's a heavy roller. Yeah, so I never Yeah,
it was something I was. I was wore for the week,
so I remember after, I'm like, oh, I did do
the right thing.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
It's good to delieve a note because people have different
rules about what's sweet what's.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
Fine on the car.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Like I had someone crash into my car a few
years ago and they drove away and other people got
photos and I called him because they managed to find me,
and he said, oh, you buff it out.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
I said, you broke the rear light.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
What do you what.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
Do you think buffing can do?
Speaker 6 (13:00):
To pay for it.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Puffing doesn't rebuild glass, or you would have loved that moment.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
I was so mad a point in which you can unleash.
I did, yeah, within parameters and did we pay for it?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
No?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
I had to go to insurance and the yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
That's not nice.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Car is fine, That's absolutely fine.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
Fixed it saved money.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Robin.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Now with the podcast, Brisbane Fashion Festival only a few
weeks away, it'll be after we get back from Vegas.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
Yeah, and you two better start shredding apparently.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
What you keep saying, it's not ideal timing to be
heading to a party town for a week and just
before going on to the stage at a fashion festival
for the very first time.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
I know, this is so exciting.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
It's the twentieth anniversary of the Brisbane Fashion Festival, totally
sold out, was within hours of the tickets going on sale,
and you two are going to be walking for Manzillo
like proper modeling on the final night, which is the
biggest night.
Speaker 7 (14:01):
What I realized when was there was you're it's smile.
Speaker 6 (14:04):
Well you can.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
In fact I would say you should, Yeah I do.
You're not, Like, with all due respect, people aren't going
to assume your model so you're.
Speaker 6 (14:14):
Better off just like just ruining your way through.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Well, they had at Manzillo, they actually had in one
of the fitting rooms. It's a huge setup there. It's
awesome and they actually have all the tailors out the back.
We went and met some of the people doing all
the sewing and things, and they had on the big
screen years past some of their suits coming out the
Brisbane Fashion Festival.
Speaker 7 (14:36):
We've seen one, you know catwalk and we're like, is
it that one?
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Oh no, this is much bigger.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Yeah, our cat walks way longer.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
We're going to be you know the big marquee that
is there for the fashion festival every year in King
George Square. You know there's a huge white marquee. Yeah,
that's the runway. Okay, seats are on the side of
the runway.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Yeah. Well, we spoke to I had a bit of
a chat just before Corey arrived. Actually, I spoke to
Akiel who's the head designer, and his lovely wife Schwetter,
and they were talking about how big our moment is
going to be. And I think they would try to
make me feel better, but it made me feel way worse.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
For the whole event.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
Yeah, showtoppers.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
I think you you look like you're going to met Gala.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Oh really massive? Okay met Gala, and I've.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Just seen because Robin always talks about it. It's quite
extreme fashion.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Normally it is a fashion show.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Show.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
You can usually the showstopper.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Yeah, okay, so when you're walking down all right, everybody
would just be looking at you.
Speaker 7 (15:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (15:51):
I don't want that at all.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
I forgot that.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
It's the showtop. It's the biggest part of the event.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
All eyes, yes, because you will be the you.
Speaker 6 (16:08):
It was Jack's last year. Yeah, he was walking for
drys a Bone and this.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Year it's YouTube in proper suits and these suits look amazing.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
What they're going to be.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
We don't know what we're going to but Matt Carla
sounds huge, terrifying.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Biggest fashion event of the year.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Kip got one of the biggest compliences.
Speaker 7 (16:27):
What do you get He's the perfect model size?
Speaker 4 (16:30):
He did say that.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
He said, yeah, this is like you're off the rack.
You're the perfect model size.
Speaker 6 (16:37):
That must make you feel better.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
It was nice and he said, are you going to shred?
Speaker 4 (16:43):
He said, because he heard us. I said, I have
a been. He said, we'll make sure you tell me
before you do. Everything's made to measure.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Don't feel like a bride on a wedding day, you know,
shreds a couple of weeks into it and then the
dress doesn't fit.
Speaker 6 (16:55):
Don't do that?
Speaker 5 (16:56):
Yeah, because it was Now what are you going to do?
Speaker 7 (16:59):
I said, look to stay this, stay that size.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
He goes, stay like that.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
Yeah, so what fabric do you know?
Speaker 3 (17:06):
We don't know anything.
Speaker 5 (17:07):
No idea, color, idea.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
Yeah, there's a lot of weird measurements that he wasn't there.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
Your body measured that under carriage.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
The carriage it gets it gets you to hold the
measuring tape at your belt line.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
And then and then.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Well, yeah, I was you don't understand how I'm comfortable?
Speaker 6 (17:29):
Is you did?
Speaker 7 (17:31):
I don't understand what it is.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
When it's really tight around there?
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Did you compare mession?
Speaker 7 (17:37):
You did?
Speaker 9 (17:39):
You?
Speaker 4 (17:39):
Did you have.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
Anyway?
Speaker 4 (17:43):
I watched this space.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Now with the podcast.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Halfway through the podcast, Okay, well your sounds like the
crescendo or holidays gave you.
Speaker 4 (18:03):

Speaker 3 (18:04):
I've got one week with rap front while he's still
in school, holidays, and then one week without. So the
week with I think we're gonna I'm going to go
camping in the backyard and have a little fireplace and stuff.
So we'll do that one night and and then the
week after he's gone, I think I'm just going to
do howse stuff.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
You know, I love Naomi's back at work and you're
looking after your other childhood.
Speaker 6 (18:27):
You cannot put in holiday can because she's one.
Speaker 5 (18:31):

Speaker 7 (18:43):
There's a there's a there's a little attachment can buy
where we can put golf things. Yes, actually am to
a pram and we can play golf together.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Like, what's the lot over two weeks will be twice
a week, times.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
Once a week, if not twice while I was still playing,
but a long time since.
Speaker 13 (19:14):
That's that.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
But yeah, I've got a lot of stuff there.
Speaker 7 (19:17):
In the house, a lot of housework. The weekends are free,
which is great. I probably spend them doing things with
you know, the kids. And tea because we haven't had many. Yeah, yeah,
it's got it's a good gap where the Bronx games
are away.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
And by so good.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
Yeah the commitments.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
No, I'm actually so puffed. Yeah did you end up
getting that?
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Because remember you went around a condy yesterday? Did you
end up getting the blow up tenth the one that
you can in fleet?
Speaker 7 (19:43):
I was fine stuff for the for young Paddy.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
Yeah, junior, thousand dollars to spend.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Yeah, I forgot, I want.
Speaker 7 (19:52):
I wish I looked at that because I don't mind
the idea of doing the old in the backyard.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Well, you've got a backyard that resembles the wild Kiff
actually has a basketball course.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
And I've got power right there.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Yeah there, you could actually camp somewhere and not see
that else. Keep will make sure that the heat from
the air conditioner comes.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
Out just the right.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Okay, so what are you doing? This is okay top
five all time.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
My girl friend Jenna, she did this. And this is
a woman that has traveled with her kids all over
the world and absolutely like does really fun and extraordinary things.
And she's she's been saying to me for a while,
You've got to go and do this This is on
my top five list of all time best things. And
it's going to Harvey Bay, which I went to not
that long ago and loved it. But it's with this
(20:45):
one company called Tasman Ventures and they have a day
trip with the whales, but they also go to Kagari.
But the thing is that they guarantee that you can
swim with them wales.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Yes, guarantee you.
Speaker 6 (21:01):
Yeah, so you go and spend a day.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
You can do like santobogganing and that sort of stuff,
but they will do a morning of well watched and yeah,
you can jump in with the whales and actually just.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
Swim with them.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
And that is a bucket list thing for me. And
she's done a lot of different while watching, but she
said this one is out of this world, Like it's
a really great company. And yeah they're very environmentally friendly
and yeah they respect the whales, but you get to
swim with them.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
So I am so excited.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
I've just got one concern, and it's a real concern
because last time I fished at Harvey Bay, we almost
could not get one fish onto the boat because of
the sharks.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Yeah, I'm not joking.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
They are everywhere. They're like a plague proportion around the world.
Speaker 8 (21:48):
There.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
See, I thought that would be my problem. Like I'm
such a cold Like I get cold so easily. There
are full wet suits.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Okay, Well upside of that, if I get taken by
a shark.
Speaker 6 (22:01):
Yeah, you can invite someone else to.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Focus an extra ticket on the show, okay.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
For that sand Yeah.
Speaker 7 (22:11):
Yeah, to be careful those things because actually we didn't
do it properly. But when I went with all my
mates years ago, now, we did our own little we
found our own one, yeah, and made their own jumps.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Yeah, I'm not doing that.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
That's more likely for me.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
To die jumps.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
You're well, actually I think they actually to be fair.
They do kayaking too, so I think I'll be kayaking
on the lakes.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Oh cool, Yeah, that'll be a great trip.
Speaker 6 (22:38):
Yeah, Like I'm so looking forward to.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
You got to be careful.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
Do you want me to die?
Speaker 6 (22:48):
Talk about the ways that I can forget about the.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Happy now with the past.
Speaker 14 (23:05):
Samantha Jade a true powerhouse of Australian tile.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
She's a singer, songwriter.
Speaker 14 (23:12):
And actress who captured the nation's heart when she became
the first female winner of The X Factor Australia Plus
as recently announced she'll be taking to the stage in
Brisbane as.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
A part of Pretty Woman. Put Your Hands Together.
Speaker 14 (23:28):
There's Amantha Jade.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
Guys, and thank you for dressing up even though it's
for radio.
Speaker 8 (23:36):
Yeah, I did it for you guys. It does make
a difference, Yes, says the man in track.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
You've got the right idea.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Actually, yes, I wish I was in my track have
Gone for Comfort?
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Yes, every day now, you do know it's the power
red for Pretty Woman like that is.
Speaker 8 (23:54):
I don't know if you remember in the movie, but
there's an iconic scene where she dresses in the beautiful
red dress and she does.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
The that's the one with the snapping of.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
The jewelry case.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Yes, yes, And there's another iconic scene which we are
going to reenact with you.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
Sure, ye, I'm I'm.
Speaker 8 (24:11):
Sure we're all looking forward to I'm very much looking
forward to that.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
But you got to know usaman that Pretty Woman for
us is a really big deal because you're starting here
in Brisbane, I know, and it's the Australian premiere and
it was such a big deal that Brian Adams actually
came out to make the announcement.
Speaker 6 (24:31):
So cool, and I got a little bit cheeky with him.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
He wasn't necessarily thrilled with my question, but I have
to listen.
Speaker 6 (24:40):
Any chance of you playing Edward zero?
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Edward's the Richard gear character, right, zero zero? Because he
wrote all the music, like the.
Speaker 8 (24:51):
Score, Oh my gosh, yeah, he's written all the music.
And the songs are so good, they're so memorable and
they're so fun and yeah, I mean it's Brian Adams
such a good song.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
How old were you when A Pretty Woman the original
movie came out.
Speaker 6 (25:05):
I think it was too.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
But you know what's really weird. It really is one
of those movies I watched over and over again with
my mum, right and then I remember watching it when
I was a bit older, thinking why did she let
me watch this?
Speaker 6 (25:18):
Because of what it's about.
Speaker 8 (25:19):
She's a yes, but she used to tell me like
that she's a dancer. That's where she used to tell me. Yeah,
But I loved the outfits and I remember her hand
just coming in and you know, obviously going over my
eyes in certain scenes. But it is such a magical movie,
and I just feel like they don't make those like
rom coms anymore so.
Speaker 6 (25:39):
How did you get the role of it? And what happened?
Was this a long progress?
Speaker 8 (25:43):
Yeah, yeah, I've had this, like it's like that random
little secret that you can't tell anyone, like that's on
the tip of your tongue. I've had for a while now. Yes,
So they kind of called me and asked me to
come into audition, and I was like, I've not done
musical theater like I did one play when I was fourteen,
twelve or fourteen. I did sound a music. I was
one of the kids, but that was like only in Perth,
(26:04):
like they come and you know, get you. And then
four weeks and I was so nervous to go in
and I was like, you know what, I'm just going
to do it. And then I went in and they
liked me, and then my managers like, I think this
might be you need to really think if you want this,
because you might actually be ocded.
Speaker 6 (26:20):
I was like, okay, I.
Speaker 7 (26:21):
Would have thought being a singer. Yeah, because I watch
The X Factor. I remember I love music. I love
watching all the music shows and all that sort of stuff.
But I remember you weren't really sure when your audition.
You were very good, N see that you see very
confident that.
Speaker 8 (26:38):
I'm an actor because I was, I was not sure
that it was so nervous too. I actually wore a
really high shirt that day because I got a stress
rashle o myself. Yeah, same as my audition pretty woman.
But I think you just you just go in and
you got you go, okay, just fake it to you
make it go and think.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
But the nerves are real. So opening night in Brisbane.
Speaker 8 (26:58):
I don't even want to think about it. Yeah, no,
it's going to be amazing.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
You've known for a bit though, because I saw on
your Instagram a couple of weeks go. Now, weeks ago
you put up a video of yourself just touched down
in LA and headed straight to the most beautiful hotel
in Beverly Hills, the Beverly Will Shoe.
Speaker 8 (27:19):
My gosh, yeah, let me tell you about this. I
didn't know I got the role when I stayed there,
so that was a whole other thing. I was going to,
you know, good a La. They do they yes, And
I was performing at that and someone from that hotel
got in touch and I was like, do you want
to come and put a few pictures up? And then
said I was like absolutely yes, but no one knew
(27:41):
that this pretty Woman thing was happening in the background,
and the day I checked out is the day I
got the call that I got Yeah, because only stayed
one night and that's when I found out I got
the role. So it's just like one of those things.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Because that's in the movie.
Speaker 8 (27:58):
That's where is that where, That's where she stays. I
was like, my mum is for sure looking down on me,
going like, let me just pull some strings here.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Yes, we're going to check some traffic. And then when
when we come back, it's time for our reenactment of
a scene from pretty.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Well, Oh My God with Samantha Jada.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
It's Robin Kip Now with Coreot's on Kiss ninety seven
to three.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Roni kid Now with Choreos the podcast with Robin Kipp
and Coriotes.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
And for the first time in What's My Scene, I'd
like to do this on a Friday morning where we
reenact a beautiful moment in film.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
But we actually have a guest star on the show today.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Samantha Jada is in the studio with us, and this
is very appropriate because Pretty Woman is the scene we're doing.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yes, of course, in Samantha, you are going to be
Vivian in Pretty Woman, which is opening in Brisbane in October.
This is also a first for us, someone who can
actually hold a note.
Speaker 7 (28:58):
This is not easy.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
It's going to sound very different.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
So we're doing this an iconic scene from Pretty Woman
before we get into the song.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
So Samantha is playing Vivian. Of course, a checkout assistant
one is Cory. Check out assistant too is Kip, and
I am the narrate or so to set the scene.
Speaker 6 (29:18):
This is iconic.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Vivian is walking into a high end boutique clothing store
just buy some more conservative clothing. She walks in wearing
a swimsuit that exposes her stomach area, a jumper around
her hips, and knee high black boots.
Speaker 6 (29:36):
May I help you, I've already stopped out.
Speaker 8 (29:42):
I'm in the scene. I'm just checking things out.
Speaker 5 (29:44):
Are you looking for something in particular?
Speaker 2 (29:47):
No?
Speaker 8 (29:47):
Well, yeah, something conservative?
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (29:51):
You got nice stuff?
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Thank you?
Speaker 6 (29:54):
How much is this?
Speaker 7 (29:56):
I don't think this would fit you.
Speaker 8 (29:57):
Well I didn't ask if it would fit I asked
how much it was.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
How much is this Murray? Oh? How much is this Murray?
Speaker 4 (30:06):
It's very expensive.
Speaker 7 (30:08):
It's very expensive.
Speaker 8 (30:10):
Look, I've got money.
Speaker 6 (30:11):
To spend in here.
Speaker 7 (30:12):
I don't think we have anything for you. You're obviously
in the wrong place.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
Please leave.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
It is now the next day, and Vivian is dressed
in much more conservative clothing and looks very proper. She
walks back into the store that wouldn't serve her the
day before.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
May I help you?
Speaker 7 (30:38):
No?
Speaker 8 (30:38):
Thank you?
Speaker 9 (30:39):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (30:40):
Hello?
Speaker 6 (30:41):
Do you remember me?
Speaker 5 (30:42):
No? I'm sorry I.
Speaker 8 (30:43):
Was in here yesterday. You wouldn't wait on me. Oh
you work on commission right?
Speaker 5 (30:48):
Ah?
Speaker 8 (30:49):
Yes, big mistake, big huge. I have to go shopping now.
The wigs just really throws.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Now you're taking the lead.
Speaker 6 (31:05):
And we're just doing it a cappella.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
We could go to a cappella? Can I do that?
Speaker 6 (31:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (31:26):
Walking down street? Pretty woman kind of like to be
pretty woman.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
I don't believe you.
Speaker 7 (31:36):
You're not the true can look as good as you?
Speaker 6 (31:43):
Oh?
Speaker 15 (31:44):
Nice, pretty woman? Won't you put in be pretty woman?
I couldn't help but see, pretty.
Speaker 5 (31:53):
Woman, how you look lovely as can be?
Speaker 2 (31:59):
How are you lovely?
Speaker 5 (32:00):
Just like me?
Speaker 6 (32:03):
To the ground.
Speaker 15 (32:04):
You have to do it god, pretty woman?
Speaker 16 (32:09):
Wow?
Speaker 6 (32:11):
If that was the show?
Speaker 5 (32:13):
Thank you?
Speaker 4 (32:14):
I was always being at the base and.
Speaker 11 (32:20):
Through that I wanted to.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
She asked me to come in to come help yourself.
Speaker 6 (32:29):
It's like a beautiful woman.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
He's in here next to it, showing off like a little.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Proper Dare you well a pretty woman will be at
the Lyric Theater q PAC from October.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
We can't wait to see you.
Speaker 8 (32:43):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yes, now this podcast please last time? Wall cru jeez.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Yes, time for Corey to select another envelope from the
Wall of truth and answer whatever question is inside truthfully.
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Upset.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
You're getting better.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
At that, Okay, go on, We said to Corey at
the start of the week, make sure you put it
up near the.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
Microphone, just so you know what we're dealing with.
Speaker 6 (33:24):
So it's it's envelopes.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
He's just picked an envelope off the wall. He's opened
it clearly.
Speaker 7 (33:31):
And you ever get jealous when someone shows your partner attention,
shows your partner, you know that sort of stuff, not
really like I don't know, like you know, yeah, not not.
It depends on if they keep hanging around or if
(33:52):
you know, yeah or whatever.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
But no, I can't give me an example.
Speaker 7 (33:56):
Well, there's been times when we're out and teens at
the bar serving and then bloke's talking to a completely
random guy, and yeah, like she's I just know that
she's sort of just going to walk away. Yeah beautiful,
But you've got completely said yeah, yeah, but like she says,
she's not an asshole, but.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
Sorry, you shouldn't have said that.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
But but yeah.
Speaker 7 (34:20):
Like she just says and then goes on.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
But do you get jealous?
Speaker 2 (34:26):
Though?
Speaker 6 (34:26):
That's the question.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
If you're seeing her at the bar and a guy
is talking to her and lingering longer than he.
Speaker 6 (34:32):
Should, what do you feel?
Speaker 7 (34:35):
Nothing, I'm just nothing.
Speaker 5 (34:39):
I got to full trust into it.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Yeah, but you never go and rescue. What about just
the point of just.
Speaker 7 (34:46):
If the guy continues to do it? I would like,
if she goes.
Speaker 6 (34:52):
Do you have an emotional response?
Speaker 1 (34:54):
So just say he's there, he goes away, comes back,
comes back again.
Speaker 7 (34:58):
I probably start getting a bit annoyed. But it's never happened,
I guess, so I've never had I never had to
worry about it.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, And I mean the elephant in the room is
you're an ex football so what about her with you?
Speaker 5 (35:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (35:14):
There's many times, but I guess you know, it's it's
when I guess people are a bit over.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
You know, fiction or not.
Speaker 7 (35:24):
Even that's just like you know when say, if they go,
how are you going to get a photo? Blah blah blah,
I remember this time and then and the conversation goes
longer than its normally would.
Speaker 5 (35:34):
And it's probably part of my.
Speaker 7 (35:35):
Fault too, because I'm the kind of guy I like
giving people time of day just general hate thanks, appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
Like if they.
Speaker 7 (35:43):
Remember with me, I'll be like yeah, I'll be like, no,
I'm sorry, I don't. There was a lot of people
that day, and that's kind.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
Of you can make that conversation go beyond let's get
a photo, but it's just more.
Speaker 7 (35:53):
I'll give them an answer and then I'll usually you.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Must know when someone is flirting with you. I'm sorry
you everyone knows.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Yes, get the eyes come on.
Speaker 5 (36:05):
Where a person was?
Speaker 7 (36:07):
So, how are you here with I'm like my wife,
get over there and like you know, some some friends.
Speaker 5 (36:13):
Ye okay, oh you know I was just nice.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
I'm like okay, yeah, shut it down. Okay.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
It was just more like okay.
Speaker 7 (36:21):
Why why would you come over that sort of thing.
But she's there's many times where people have come over
done that and like she'll put them in their place.
Speaker 6 (36:32):
Yeah, okay, saying what like, what are you doing?
Speaker 13 (36:35):
You know?
Speaker 7 (36:36):
And then I just I just wanted to get a photo.
She goes, well, there's a bit long for a photo,
wasn't it, Like and then yeah, but it happens a
lot like when you go it. Not not just me,
but like when you go out and you know, you're
with your mates and some of the boys like yeah,
it's it's always it's hard because it's for me.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
It's like, I don't want to be an ass.
Speaker 7 (36:57):
I don't want to come across as that guy like
I don't want to be that sort of footy player,
like I'm always happy to say hello, they want a photo.
Speaker 6 (37:07):
Here's something about flirting, like is it a compliment?
Speaker 4 (37:09):
Yeah, like because.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
You're someone that is worth flirting with, or is it
crossing the line? I know with you white men, Kip,
you would be like you would not cope at all.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
I think, well, no, no, yeah, I'm not great with
it because you're not great with it. But I also
know that Naomi, this is what this is, you know what.
One of the many things I love about it, I
know that she would shut something down if someone crosses
a line. I've got complete faith that she knows how
to handle a situation.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
Therefore, it's a compliment because you have faith, and obviously
everyone's looking at this beautiful woman, and you go, she's great, and.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
I can look from across the room and gain good
luck buddy.
Speaker 7 (37:52):
Again and again you're just like, okay, look mate.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Yeah, okay, let's ask thirteen one oh six five? Is
flirting a compliment or is it crossing the line?
Speaker 6 (38:03):
Be really honest?
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Is it a compliment? Or is it crossing the line?
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Interesting?
Speaker 5 (38:07):
Tool?
Speaker 13 (38:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (38:08):
Thirteen one oh six fives out number.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Now with Glorias the podcast.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Jody out a church side? Is it your happy? Was
doing the.
Speaker 16 (38:19):
Flirting kind of, so he like, we both got tattooes,
and he was looking at this girl who had a
tatto on her hand. She turned around and it looked
like he was looking at her, but I could tell
I could tell that he wasn't, but it would have
looked very suspicious from other people looking around. So and
I were laughing, but he was quite embarrassed.
Speaker 6 (38:41):
How did you feel like you like?
Speaker 12 (38:43):
I laughed, so like.
Speaker 16 (38:46):
He, yeah, we have we have her tattoos from when
we got married.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
So you just look at that.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
I'm just I'm just looking at your hands, sure you are, buddy?
Speaker 4 (38:59):
Is it a compliment? Is it crossing the line? Thirty
one O six five's out Numbered.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Now with Glorios the podcast.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
A couple of people that come through on text for
nine nine seven three nine seven three Please put your
name because we can't say hi to you unless you do.
But someone has said, of course flirting is a compliment.
I know, I feel really good when I get a
coffee or something and the cute cashier is.
Speaker 6 (39:21):
Giving me positive attention.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
And then this one from Jasmine of Vicky Point. I
generally don't mind if people flirt with my husband, unless
it's my sister. She's been making some passes at him lately, saying.
Speaker 6 (39:34):
She calls DIBs on him if we break up, asking
if he wants to be in a poly relationship what
and being way too touchy. That to me is crossing sister.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
Oh, you can't call DIBs touchy. There's no calling DIBs
out loud. Yeah, you might think it for.
Speaker 6 (39:59):
Your cargo, I got, Jasmine.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
We don't often do this, but let's reward you for
your amazing.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
Yes, I've got some tickets to l e Oh, which
is the brand new Disney film which is in cinemas
right now. Actually, I'm going to take rapt to see
this over the weekend. Looks absolutely Fantastic's about a young
kid gets taken away by the aliens.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
It's another alien kid that's just the same as him.
It's a great show.
Speaker 7 (40:22):
That sounds like, sure, kids aren't going to be scared
walking around on the streets.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
And no, probably don't take your sister if she's don't
leave your sister with your hobby.
Speaker 4 (40:29):
Don't do that judgment. Now, we've got to get to
the news.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
When we come back, we have a we're going to
meet some of our finalists for the Backstreet Boys competition.
Speaker 6 (40:38):
Is that why you're dressed as Elvis?
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Kid? Now with Coos podcast.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
With Robin, Kip and Coreo, It's your weekly Joseph.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Brie.
Speaker 7 (41:01):
Last Friday, the Kiss team had a mid year party,
but on Monday, Boss Ali had to address some of
the things that Kivin got up to.
Speaker 11 (41:10):
So there's three incidences I need to go through.
Speaker 10 (41:12):
The first one is someone was showing everyone their pressure point,
which actually caused the head of HR to collapse.
Speaker 6 (41:19):
On the floor.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Once I showed Todd, he made me go around to it.
Speaker 5 (41:24):
Dad everyone.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (41:25):
Number two, someone holds the microphone during karaoke so much
so that people literally left the party.
Speaker 6 (41:31):
Of course that's Corey. Corey has a letter a single
other person to take his.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
Mic all night.
Speaker 10 (41:41):
Finally, what the hell is that smell coming from the freezer?
Speaker 11 (41:45):
Can someone explain that?
Speaker 5 (41:47):
Oh, oh that's you.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
Whoever put the beers in the fridge didn't put enough
in and so we had to.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
Chill some very quickly, and so we put beers in
the freezer.
Speaker 6 (41:54):
So they've exploded in the freezer.
Speaker 4 (41:57):
Yep, the beers weren't as bad as this.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
Do you think the worst two of those two? Not
taking out the head of hr.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Tunnel, We had more great confessions for cash.
Speaker 16 (42:13):
I've been fifening fuel out of my sister's car and
she still.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
Doesn't know her first car. She was very pretty and
sick about it. And I got home late one night
and I didn't put the handbrake on properly. My car
has rolled into the back of hers and shifted quite
significant size chunk of paint off.
Speaker 13 (42:33):
You know when I took Little Pixie down for you
and she went to her little eternal sleep and I
brought the ashes back.
Speaker 14 (42:43):
Yeah, Well, you.
Speaker 13 (42:45):
Didn't tell me that you wanted her back when I
rang the bet, so he said that she'd already gone
to a group commation. So the little box of ashes
that you've got there a pixie was actually from my barbecue. No,
why it's a joke.
Speaker 6 (43:02):
Right, it's not a joke.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
It actually happened, And I don't think you're okay with it.
Oh my god, we had a few real box of
barbecue actions.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
It was still a farewell. It doesn't matter what was
in the box.
Speaker 6 (43:17):
What kind of jog is pixie?
Speaker 4 (43:19):
It would have been very funny if it was a
sausage dog. I've got to tell.
Speaker 7 (43:25):
I got to speak to one of my favorite artists, Keith.
You give a guitar away at every concert?
Speaker 5 (43:31):
Is that right?
Speaker 4 (43:32):
It's always in the same spot.
Speaker 7 (43:34):
You give a guitar way back, left corner.
Speaker 5 (43:37):
Every time I've gone.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
It's been the same spot. I just give it to
the same bloke every time.
Speaker 7 (43:42):
I've got a bit emotional with one of the Wall
of Truth questions. What was the most difficult part of
being a new Dad Montage? It was in nineties, and
that year I was actually in Origin. So she was
born in April and Origins pretty much straight after, which
is in May.
Speaker 6 (43:58):
That would have been hard.
Speaker 7 (43:59):
It was hard because I spent the first two months
of her life away.
Speaker 3 (44:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (44:04):
Were you there at the birth?
Speaker 14 (44:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (44:06):
And I was probably home for the week or two
or whatever.
Speaker 5 (44:08):
But no, Origin, You're away a lot.
Speaker 7 (44:10):
And it was really hard because when I came back,
I remember trying to do the things I was doing
before I left and settling her, and I couldn't.
Speaker 5 (44:17):
I couldn't do it.
Speaker 7 (44:18):
She just screamed hated me as soon as I'd give
it a tea and she just stopped crying.
Speaker 5 (44:21):
It just raddled me. Hal I just broke down.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
I was.
Speaker 5 (44:27):
Just started crying.
Speaker 7 (44:28):
I really thought she hated me, and I just didn't
want me, didn't know who I was. It really hurt me,
to be honest.
Speaker 6 (44:33):
But you would say that Monty is a daddy's.
Speaker 7 (44:35):
Girl now, Yeah, definitely, because Teaking and Monty so like
they're too smart for each other.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
Like, ok, trick.
Speaker 7 (44:46):
And we brought our dogs in again to predict who
in game three of State of Origes Sick.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
He's gone onto the ground, go, She's just gone to
Blue Marlin three two one, Oh No.
Speaker 4 (44:59):
He's gone Blues that's two blues.
Speaker 6 (45:02):
Snapper is ready to go.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
Snapper Snapper, that dogs who predicted all.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
Right now.
Speaker 7 (45:13):
And when announced that test frum sear Grave will be coming.
Speaker 5 (45:15):

and art against the Doggies.
