Speaker 5 (00:38):
We're doing the podcast while from Vegas with the iHeart
Studios and I Serve You a Tin of Podcasting Premiere.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Now.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
All of us have traveled, obviously is but I think
when it comes to Vegas, one twenty four hours literally
feels like forty eight. So we haven't been away that long,
and yet I think we're all really fatigued. But I
want to know, is anyone missing you at home? Because
I do know that, Corey, you do have someone, and
(01:05):
I also someone very unexpected is creating a bit of
have it at my place because I'm not there.
Speaker 6 (01:12):
Oh okay, and I want to tell you about it.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Kids, it'd be nice if someone missed you, miss you,
no expectations.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Sorry, has there anything changed in their lives?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I just asked, let's do it how far?
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I don't think they've noticed yet, kid now Chios the podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
Destiny's Child, Say my Name, It's Robin and Kip Now
with Coreo so Kiss ninety seven to three broadcasting live
from Las Vegas because we were here to see the
Backstreet Boys was a childhood dream for Coreots. We found
this setut when we're getting to know Corey at the
start of the show that he grew up a massive
Backstreet Boys fan. Used to steal your brother, c D
put it in the walkman, was it the millennium seeded?
Speaker 4 (01:55):
It was? It was the first one.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
And we got to hear all of those songs last
night the Sphere.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
At the Backstreet Boys.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
It was crazy.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
But here's a little bit of what got us here,
because Corey, in order to get the whole show to Vegas,
had to become a Backstreet Boy. Here's a bit of
his musical stylings.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
You made a film clip.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
Did you actually wear the same outfit from the film
clip last night?
Speaker 7 (02:25):
Everything but the pants, the long You had the full watch,
but I just couldn't wear the long ones.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
But look it all came to light last night. How
good was that?
Speaker 8 (02:35):
Like?
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah, we got there.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
It is at the Sphere, the sphere.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
We wrote at the Sphere.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
I didn't know what to expect, and the way I
did not disappoint walking in there and just seeing the
setup and because.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
You've got to explain for anyone that hasn't been here
or actually seen what the sphere is. It is literally
a dome planted in the middle of the desert. About
a third of the dome is seating and the rest is.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
Visuals, screen and screens.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
That becomes an interactive experience as you're watching what's going
on on stage.
Speaker 7 (03:06):
But look, they did not disappoint. I thought that were incredible.
That Fox Cools surprised me. It's like, look, haven't we
just shovel Let everyone listen to that.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Let s haven't listen?
Speaker 9 (03:16):
God, set was tonight, take you on on time of
shep all right, welcome up, keep me going.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
That took me back.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
I was not expecting to love it as much as
I did. Sidewatch Fine, it was.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
I was amazing.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
You gotta you gotta see the full vide e clip
when we put it out that but that'd be cool.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
So rated out of ten for me, because you know,
you're a massive Luke Holmb's fan. You're like the massive
Teddy Swims. This is entirely different on a scale of
all the constants you've seen in your life.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
Yeah, experience, it's up there with a nine like that.
It was near perfect, just the whole the whole thing,
the whole night, because even they're dancing.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Was surprised me.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
They were actually like they're really good still, like they
still moved really well, and it was all you know,
they were all together and like the vocals and then
just being in the sphere and actually experiencing that, Yeah
it's up there.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
And of course, I mean you probably noticed, but we
were desperate to get you see, I.
Speaker 10 (04:57):
Was saying all the songs I knew, and here is.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
There it is.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
It's hard to isolate because everybody was belting out every song.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Yeah it's yeah, like they could have let that.
Speaker 7 (05:20):
I remember they stopped singing it on one of the songs.
You didn't even know it was coming, and the crowd
just took over.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
Do you know.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I thought it was crazy when I heard that people
were spending four or five grand to go from Australia
to go over there. And you know, yes, we're very
privileged as a radio show and we got to bring
listeners with us, but honestly, the entire crowd was made
up of anyone other than.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
People from Las Vegas.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Yes, yes, people are traveled for hundreds, thousands of miles
or cas to be there.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, it was. It was incredible. I'm I'm so glad
we got the chance to experience.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Yes, well, we do have to thank you because you
became a Backstreet board.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
To get us here and you did it much much.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Just a little bit of a film clack, that's it.
Learn learn five seconds of moves.
Speaker 6 (06:08):
We're very great, very much so.
Speaker 8 (06:12):
Kid.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Now with Courios, we are live from the iHeart Vegas
Studios because we're in Las Vegas to see the Backstreet Boys,
which we did last night.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
He's just a little bit and it didn't disappoint you. Corey.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
This is the lifelong dream. You finally got to see them.
Speaker 7 (06:40):
Yeah, that was awesome. Look, I will take my hat
off to them. They put on a cracking show.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:45):
But straight off the show, we grabbed some people from
the audience and asked what they thought.
Speaker 11 (06:50):
My name is Gannette Lekendra and where he goes from?
Speaker 2 (06:54):
I am from Brooklyn, New York.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Oh yeah, and.
Speaker 12 (06:56):
I'm from Northern Virginias.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Sure yeah, and do what it be amazing?
Speaker 5 (07:04):
I got my whole life at this show. Yeah no,
And I was like making our childhood.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Dreams come true.
Speaker 7 (07:15):
Good yeahod, yes.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
It was given new audition.
Speaker 6 (07:29):
Where are you from and what did you think?
Speaker 2 (07:31):
I'm from New Jersey and it was an amazing.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Spectacular short water experience.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
You were slightly outnumbered as a male. Did you still
enjoy it?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
I did?
Speaker 4 (07:41):
I did. I really enjoyed it.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Actually, what happens is that my brother gave me a surprise.
Speaker 10 (07:45):
I was at some party.
Speaker 13 (07:46):
He snatched me out of the party because he wanted
to give me a surprise for the Backstreet Boys because.
Speaker 7 (07:51):
He and I we did a dance in your school.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
So he literally grabbed his brother in New Jersey, put
him on a plane, and they turned up in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Now.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
The thing I will say about talking to Americans is
as soon as you pull out your phone and it
has a microphone attached, they come flocking to you.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Yeah, this is.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
But there was one guy who didn't give the show
a ten out of ten, and he explained something that
we didn't realize but could end the tour.
Speaker 14 (08:22):
I would say probably eight and a half. I enjoyed
it so much that I had to come back so
I could critique it. I one hundred percent will say
eight and a half. Why because yesterday the show went
on for another three songs.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Today they cut it short.
Speaker 12 (08:44):
Why.
Speaker 14 (08:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
You know, we're tiget.
Speaker 14 (08:47):
I'm pretty sure they're exhausted. But the graphics were also different.
I will tell you that is probably one of the
best experience that you could have in Las Vegas.
Speaker 6 (08:59):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
I didn't pick this, but during the show, you guys
did what happened?
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Well, one of the late singers, you could tell his
voice was going speaking and even just just speaking, he.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Would lose room. Brian was he's the little guy that
wears the hat. Yeah, that Brian.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
But Brian and the other bloke, so they do like
ninety percent of the singing.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
Well they used to.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yeah, and that's what that's what God asked.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Remember.
Speaker 7 (09:31):
And when he started talking when they do those intervals,
they started chatting to the crowd. Yeah, his voice was
slowly like disappearing while he was just doing like chats.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
And then during the show, I saw there was a
bit where he had to hit a high note and
he literally.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Stopped and went and dropped an F bomb. Like didn't
go into the mic, but I saw him mouth it
because he just didn't have.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
It, and we both went, did you see that?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Yeah, he can't say no, So as someone who's had
throat nodules, that's what it sounded like to me. Well,
you know, and who knows, like he may just have laryngitis.
But if you think about it, this is their twelfth show.
They've still got I don't know, twenty five or something
to do. They're only doing it on weekend, so it's
like Friday, Saturday, Sunday, so he does have time to recover.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
But there is a potential that could have been their
last show.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
Actually, and the first song he did was way stronger.
During the show, he got weaker and weaker his voice
until it was almost gone, and.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
They literally stopped on backstreets back or.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Right and left and all of us were going what
just happened? And then he must have felt guilty because
he came out, ripped his shirt off and threw it
into the crowd, didn't say anything, and then left.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
It was almost like a farewell shirt toss.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
So they skipped three songs.
Speaker 7 (10:47):
I really hope for them it doesn't because it's an
incredible show, Like I feel, you know, I want everyone
that's planned to come to get that experience because it
was incredible.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
It's interesting that the other guys can't sing his bits
for him, like, that's the guy that looks like Jesus Kevin.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Guy, I think over a lot more than what he
used to.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Yeah, left, Yeah, don't you think this could be awesome?
That we were at the last ever Backstreet Ois shows.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
True until Friday and they redo another one.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Well, maybe maybe that'll be the end, or maybe we've
got a fill in right here, or maybe the big fella.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Put on a backwards hat and get out there.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
The robots at the end on the screen, Yes, that
was what that was me.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
They did have dancing robots and it did look your
similar fluid tostole movement.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yes, here now with Gios the podcast.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Live from Las Vegas. Where've got to see the Backstreet
Boys last night? Absolutely incredible. I will say one thing
I thought was really incredible about the crowd is the
age variants.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Like I'd say the medium age was probably thirty.
Speaker 15 (12:07):
There.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
I thought it was gonna be all oldies.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Yeah, he to youngsters and there were kids too, But
then there were like grandparents who were like three generations
and traveled from New York.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Yes, there were mother daughters going along.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
They thought the floor was moving.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
No, that was just kid.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
No, not everyone had.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
But because we're in Vegas, and because America, you know,
is the shopping capital of the world, we want to
do some personal shopping for you. Yes, we've got one
hundred bucks Australian, not one hundred bucks American, let me
be clear, probably about seventy five bucks.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
Or less Australian.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Yes, but if you've got.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
A reason, if there's something that you just can't get
in Australia but would love us to get for you.
For example, at the big Eminem store in on the
Strip in Vegas, you can get your monogrammed name on
a Eminem on the Eminem So we could have a
Robin Kippen Corey Oats Eminem and then you could eat us.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Yeah, And there are some products that you that you
know are only available here, some of.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
The some of them for some good reason.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
For example, I bought a carton of power raid because
the figure we're going to need hydrolytes and things.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
While we're here. Unfortunately it said it was fruit punch.
It's cherry, it tastes like coffee, it's revolting. So if
anyone likes cherry power experience.
Speaker 6 (13:28):
I can bring, but we will happily go shopping for you.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
We just want to know why you desperately need us
to do it, and I will say the person with
the best reason is going to score us this money
and also our time.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
Marie a vicky point. What is it you need?
Speaker 8 (13:48):
Hey, guys, I'm after some gold fish crackers for my daughter.
Speaker 11 (13:52):
She's absolutely obsessed and really hard to get here.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Gold old fish crackers, crackers, look it up.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
They like chicken crimpies kind of thing, that style of cracker.
Speaker 5 (14:06):
Oh you know those Dixie drumsticks, but they're goldfish.
Speaker 16 (14:11):
Yeah, They're in the shape of goldfish and they come
in all different flavors.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Oh, yeah, toy.
Speaker 6 (14:16):
They wouldn't be very much here.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
Hang, they don't cost Yeah, they don't cost much there,
but they cost a bomb over here.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
We can get them at Walmart for two bucks.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Yeah, I just loo that's a lot.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Okay, okay, sure, Marie, potently for that one.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
That doesn't sound like it's overly.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Hard or that's simple.
Speaker 12 (14:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Now, Halee Bieber, you know Justin's missus. She's got a
makeup range and it's not available in Australia and I
know I heard Maddi approducer talking about I know Naomi
is Bis.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
Yeah, it's worth a fortuns anymore.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
Well still she's still the face of it and that
is like everyone's talking about that.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
So maybe we could get your someone that if you
want to.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
That's my third brand.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Is it road Road, Yeah, that's it. Yes, So maybe
we can get you some road.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
Maybe someone in your life needs road because they're mad
at you for whatever reason, and that's what we want
to know as well.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Thirteen one oh sixty five. If you're in the doghouse, we.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
Want to know what's going, why are you're there, and
what's going to take to get you out.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
We're here for your people, your personal shop.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
It's thirteen one oh sixty five. It's Robin and Kip
Now at Coreo. It's on Kiss ninety seven to three Roni.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Kid Now with Correos the podcast.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
We're Alive from Las Vegas. Got to see the Backstreet
Boys last night. Incredible show. But today it's time for
us to do something for you somewhere in Brisbane, whatever
it may be that you need. For us to pick
up something that's exclusive to the States. There's a lot
of things that are hard to get back home.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
Yeah, well, people are coming through.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
On the text line four oh nine nine seven three
nine seven three, Leslie said, my daughter would love a
few bottles of Chick fil A sauce.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Oh yeah, Chick fil a real fast food place. Okay,
we haven't we haven't tried that yet. I am I
trying it. Okay, we'll get some sauce.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
One we're there, and Darryl says, can you guys go
and score me a five dollars poker chip from the larg.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
E O or the MG Well's Vegas.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
So you've got to take one off the table, Corey
in order to have that.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
So that's you.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
What is that that you would like us to buy
for you in Vegas?
Speaker 17 (16:27):
There is a certain chocolate that you can only get
apparently in Las Vegas, and it's called ethyl.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
mL ethyl h E L ethyl.
Speaker 6 (16:43):
Why is it so good?
Speaker 17 (16:45):
Oh, it's just ruined Australian chocolate. For me?
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Is that that good.
Speaker 17 (16:52):
Friend went over there and she brought a heat back
and she gave me a couple of pieces. I'm done.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Okay, Hey, Daniel, we've just found out it's three minutes
away from where we're broadcasting at the Ihearts Radio Studio.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
Oh wow, okay, and what do we get your standard
milk chocolate festival for you?
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Just assorted, that'll do me, assorted, I like the look
of the things.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
You guys are so good. You're not asking for that good.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Actually can buy all of this stuff carry a Brendale.
Speaker 6 (17:23):
What is it that you need?
Speaker 11 (17:24):
And why why do I need of My twenty seventh
wedding anniversary is fast approaching and I haven't found anything
for my husband, and I was hoping you could bring
something back from the US. And my husband's obsessed with
American country singers, So hopefully Corey can help with this.
Speaker 7 (17:44):
Well, I think I might be out to help with
that one.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
Well I'm impersonating.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Okay, So I have to find it, like a country
store or something.
Speaker 7 (17:53):
We're at iHeart Studio.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
Yeah, there's a Heart Country Studio next door to was
they give it could be possible.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
There's a big place called a boot barn which I
went into that has lots of country stuff.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
You lost your mind in there, to my mind, cowboy.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
Boots, Oh my goodness. Anyway, keep them coming. Four oh
nine nine seven nine seven three we will do our best.
Speaker 5 (18:17):
Yes, I just I did see this one on the
text line from Jack and no we cannot bring home gummies,
but thank you for asking.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
They are illegal.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Outside of this, we'll get done the work.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
We'll be on the next episode of the Airports Show
in Australia. Mcgraty by security and taken down. It's rubbing
to keep now with Coreo. It's on Kiss ninety seven
to three.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
H now with CoreOS the podcast.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Halfway through the podcast, so.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Yes, a simple question, who's missing you at home? Let's
start with the guy that where there's possibly no Wow.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Dare you no?
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Actually, I've facetimed a couple of times. I spoke to
Naomi and Sienna last night at about I think it
was about one forty five am our time, the Vegas time,
so I was more time. Yeah, yeah, just after she'd
had her bath and she's been sick unfortunately, so she's
just started on anib biolex was feeling a bit better.
(19:14):
But Naomi said, like she's been walking around the house
all day, going Dad, Dad, trying to find me around
the house, which is so sweet, and.
Speaker 7 (19:24):
Then money your care is walking And.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
She did think it was peaking there.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, she was so sweet. She was
like and she was like, she kissed the phone. She
kissed the phone on FaceTime last night. And then I
also spoke to Raffo's with at his mum's face and yeah,
he's doing good. But he got straight into complaining and
you could tell these were not his words.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
He's like, why are you there for ten days? Dad?
The show was only for one night. Why are you
there for ten days?
Speaker 13 (19:56):
It doesn't make sense. That's definitely not only so, it
just doesn't make sense, dad. And I was like, I'm
here for a bit, yeah, was having fun and I
brought you some sneakers and that cheered him up.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
And I said, oh, this the thing that really got
in my head.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
And I saw a cyber truck today and he's like, going,
we have one.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yeah, so I have been missed. Thank you for your concerns, Robin.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Okay, So for me, and this was not anticipated at
all because I have you know, I come and go
a little bit, but I only ever stay like one
or two nights with my boyfriend Olivia up the coast.
But my little dog Molly, apparently because my car is
still out the front of my house. She keeps going
to the car and trying to look inside to see.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Oh sweet, isn't that sweet?
Speaker 1 (20:45):
And little Molly, who's the multi shitsu, who tries to
get out.
Speaker 6 (20:49):
She then joins her.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
So it's the builders have had to kind of keep
an eye on half an eye on the dog because
they've just gone sit in front of my car.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
I'm nice.
Speaker 6 (20:59):
My children, on the other hand, have not called me
at all.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I don't even know you're going to she's a rescue
dog too.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Yeah, they both are.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
Yeah, that'd be half their probably the reason being worried
about that.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Again, it's the next one going to leave me.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
It would be the poor things. It's sad those stories.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
But you Corey and I know some of the answer
to this. You've had tears at your place and they're yours.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Oh I got me. Oh jeez. No, I've been trying
to ring as much as I can.
Speaker 7 (21:35):
It's hard obviously now that we're doing the show, because
their mornings before school we're doing this. So yeah, and
then I rang last night and yeah, like Monty was
just sad. So it's a bit different with Huks. He
just steals the phone. They argue, They complain.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
So Haucks don't get But what's Monty's saying to you?
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Oh, she has just been like the last few weeks
been hard.
Speaker 17 (21:57):
You know.
Speaker 7 (21:58):
I went back for the funeral for Marster's dad, so
I was gone for a couple of days, and then
I was six, so I wasn't around them.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
I wasn't able to go near them.
Speaker 7 (22:05):
But then the week before that, I was barely home,
like there's a few things I had late at night,
and I actually didn't see the kids for like three
or four days, and then you know, we're going for
another week. So, yeah, she's been really sad. And I
had no idea so and she just said that she
hasn't been hanging out with dad much. It made me sad.
Speaker 6 (22:29):
It's kind of lovely though, too, because it just goes
to show you. Look, you make me cry, because it
just goes to show how important dads are.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Yeah, and we don't give you credit.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
I mean, I give you, I hustle you to all
the time, but you know, like your your little ones
are just so important.
Speaker 7 (22:45):
But the teacher at Skills sort of notice there's been
a difference with us.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
So yeah, that's been the reason it hit me last time.
Speaker 6 (22:53):
A bit, Yeah, because she misses her dad.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yeah, I didn't think any of them missed, so it
was openly half joke. So yeah, it was just nice.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
And this is her favorite shirt.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
That say, so what did you do today to make it?
Speaker 11 (23:10):
Well?
Speaker 4 (23:11):
I wore her shirt that she bought me.
Speaker 7 (23:13):
They went shopping and she picked she picked it out
and said like, dad, I love that shirt.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Yeah, and she knows me.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Really well, good shirt.
Speaker 7 (23:21):
Yeah, and yeah, so she loves me wearing it pretty
much every week and on the yeah, when she's like,
you know you packed my shirt, daddy, Yeah, I wear it, mate,
And from the phone call last night, I had to
wear it today and kel stagger photo.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
So I can put that for her.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
So what about missing at all?
Speaker 7 (23:37):
Well, I think so because both sick when well, Harks
was sick when I left, and then Monty got sick.
It hasn't been great, no, no, and obviously the strike,
the teacher strike.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
Yeah, so she's had she's taken work.
Speaker 7 (23:54):
Off tomorrow right, yeah, and sports just started like this,
so yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Okay, okay, I'm just going to say to both of
you it's a big present time.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
Yeah, good things.
Speaker 7 (24:09):
Yeah, but she has she had to do you don't
let me getting stuff because you spent, because I'll probably
get it wrong.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
I know Naomi's photos of shoes, so I can't get
it wrong. Do you have this way? And then I'm good.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Again.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Now with Chios the podcast.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
He's Robbing and kept.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Now with Correo's on k S ninety seven to three
live from Las Vegas, where we've got to see the
Backstreet Boys last night.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Full recap of that is coming up very soon.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
But we've got a phone call that's come through to
the studio and this is one of those calls that
we cannot ignore.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
Even though we'd really like to hang out.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
Because this is our boss's boss dB, who's on the
phone right now, and he says he's got something very important.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
dB.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Morning, guys.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
How are we great? An awesome time?
Speaker 4 (25:03):
It's great.
Speaker 8 (25:04):
I'm looking at this back end credit card expenditure. You
don't think you have had a good couple of days?
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Well, it has been. It has been great. Yeah, things
were more expensive than we expected, but yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:18):
Me too.
Speaker 17 (25:19):
But but but.
Speaker 8 (25:22):
I look at the breakdown because I get exchange rate
can kill us. I'm kind of thinking we're not being
very smart with the way where we're spending like I'm
looking here at hotels upgrading of roots on check in.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
I don't know that one on the bill said he
wanted to go to the hall and the lady said
the pool room views are so worth it.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
dB.
Speaker 8 (25:48):
Yeah, well it's very costly as well.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
I didn't know that one on the final bill, as
I can add, I thought it just right.
Speaker 8 (25:55):
But I'll tell you the other thing is on the bill,
same hotel, pool bar, very expensive by the looks, and
a lot of them are being consumed.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
We didn't ask the price, No, well they didn't.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
It's not written down anywhere, and so we just got
a couple of rounds because we just thought and then
and then we saw how expensive they were.
Speaker 6 (26:20):
But they're like fifty bucks.
Speaker 5 (26:22):
It was fifty bucks for a You should tell them that.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Yeah, And I.
Speaker 8 (26:27):
See what doesn't look good is robbed socials. I'm watching
from Afar as well, and in the background every time
I see a photo of the boys in the pool,
they're always holding cocktails and bitch.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
Yeah, okay, okay, I didn't know that, right, Well, what
what's happened?
Speaker 8 (26:46):
And also I've just got one other right, I get
you've got to get around Vegas and hiring cars, but
a Range Rover.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
It was a real that that upgrade I thought was
terrific value because it's a three hundred thousand dollars car
at home and it was only an extra fifty dollars
a day.
Speaker 8 (27:06):
Yeah, but you're also taking a true valet.
Speaker 18 (27:10):
I don't want anyone to scrutch the The other thing
is Gordon Ramsey's restaurants.
Speaker 8 (27:17):
Again, guys, there's cheaper restaurants than Gordon Ramsey.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
When are we going to get that chance to go? Yeah?
But no, you make you make a fair point. How
much have we got left? Got anything?
Speaker 8 (27:34):
No, this ain't a Broncos budget. This is a Kiss
ninety seven three budget.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
Okay, sorry, the budget's gone right? Well, how am I
going to eat?
Speaker 12 (27:46):
I pay you to be creative.
Speaker 8 (27:48):
I can trust your thing outside of the box. I'll
leave you with a good luck message, and just know
the budget is spent. The credit card is maxed.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Okay, so won't work anymore.
Speaker 6 (27:58):
No, DODB is not my favorite.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Told you to hang up anyway, Good luck guys, Thank you, cheers. Mate.
I wonder how much we could sell the alcohol. And
I've got my room. When you go to tool bar.
That's a good idea.
Speaker 6 (28:23):
That's a very Australian thing.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Okay, we'll think of it. We're going to have to
have some thoughts here. That's quite a handbrake on the.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Spirits.
Speaker 6 (28:34):
Three of seven.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
I mean maybe told you to hang up. I know,
well we had to take the call.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
But maybe you've got an idea thirteen one oh sixty five,
Like whenever you've been overseas and all out of cash,
you've got nothing left, but you've found a way to survive.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
What did you do?
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Because we can't change the flights, that costs more money
of colus. We have to the bookings already here at iHeart.
We have to do the shows. But how are we
literally going to eat and like have fun with no cash?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Someone will have done it. You'll have a way.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
Chips will't do anything, he said, five out the number.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Now with Coorios the podcast.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
Live from Las Vegas, We've got to see the Backstreet
Boys last night. Absolutely incredible at the Sphere. I would say,
I mean Backstreet Boys. That show was fantastic, But any
show you ever have a chance to see it the
(29:36):
Sphere I recommended that was just an incredible experience.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
One take the time to get there.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Yea, yeah, well hopefully, but we've just had the phone
call from the big Big Boss who've told us that
our credit card is now maxed out. We have partied
little too hard with some stupid decisions made by these two.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Come on, come.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
On, did we need cowboy boots on the work credit card?
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Robin?
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Okay, I didn't buy cowboy boots on the work credit card.
Speaker 6 (29:59):
I wanted to, but there was.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
So we're all out of money.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
We're in Vegas and we want your advice. What do
you do when you're overseas and you're out of cash?
Thirty one oh sixty five. The first suggestion for basking
is actually pretty good. We're going to give that a
crack later on.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
Yeah, I think that's a great idea.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
On the text line, Ben says, suddenly the million dollar
suburb becomes the nine hundred ks.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
And this one's anonymous, Please put your names on, because
this one's genius. Apart from suggesting that we go to
seven eleven buy alcohol and then put it in water
bottles of choice, which we might have already done, it's
suggesting that you go to a food place and you
order like a big thing, a bowl of chips or nachos,
and then eat half of it between us and then
(30:45):
complain it wasn't good enough and get another bottle of.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
Nutchmart Smart Dodge. They do love a compyre, Is there
anything wrong with it? I'll give you a free free meal.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Okay, it wasn't hot enough.
Speaker 6 (31:03):
Have you run out of money overseas?
Speaker 17 (31:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (31:06):
I did out of money. I was in England. I
went over to see my other I went to Amsterdam,
and when I got back from Amsterdam, I spent too
much money there, so I had nothing left. And I
had I had a ticket to go back to America,
where my sister was, but I had no money at
all in the airport, like not one stamp. So I
(31:26):
just had to get on the train and I was
shitting myself and all the way to the airport hope,
And I think it didn't get bustered because I didn't
have a ticket. I thought I wouldn't have been able
to get on the plane. But everything was all right.
Speaker 5 (31:41):
So you just had to ride public, public transport and
hope for the best.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Well that's tense.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
That is tense, deserts. What about you?
Speaker 16 (31:53):
Good morning? I was actually stuck in the US with
no cash. I got a job for board up in Battle's, Alaska,
and when I got there, which is you can only
get in and out by plane, I didn't realize they
didn't have an ATM, so I only had forty dollars
on me so I could work, but after work I
couldn't buy beers. So I put up a sign saying,
(32:13):
will sew for money, and everyone there's a population of
about twenty at the time or twenty one when I
was there, they all started bringing in like mittens and
jeans and dog beds, and I just sowed to cash
after work.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
Right, yeah, how much did you make?
Speaker 15 (32:32):
Oh?
Speaker 16 (32:32):
God, not much, maybe like fifteen dollars a day, but
it would pay for a beer, but not a milk
because beer.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
Beer was cheaper than milk.
Speaker 16 (32:42):
Milk because it has to be blown in, so it yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:46):
Right right, Well can you so rob can? Yeah? Can
you sew?
Speaker 6 (32:49):
What do you go joking? Have you seen these fingernails?
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Oh, scratch people for money?
Speaker 1 (32:56):
Scratch backscratch back, scratch someone's personal shopper.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Yeah, people in the I think I saying they were
walking and get messages.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
You did give backs, crutches they do it for free.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
No I just Ali got one.
Speaker 6 (33:12):
She didn't.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Didn't you tip that person?
Speaker 3 (33:14):
No? I gave her.
Speaker 7 (33:15):
It was five dollars for five minutes.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
You can back you can backscratch.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Yeah, okay, I'm Toddy in the studio, Yes, backing Brizzy.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Yeah, John, you have a bluey norm or something that
you could pawn off?
Speaker 4 (33:31):
Do you reckon?
Speaker 6 (33:32):
How dare you?
Speaker 3 (33:32):
We brought?
Speaker 5 (33:33):
We brought the exclusive blue Nome. Now these things you
can't even buy them in Australia. They sold out about
five minutes and I think they're over too on it.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
That's not actually what are you suggesting?
Speaker 3 (33:45):
I reckon?
Speaker 16 (33:46):
Got to like a porn shop something, get rid of it.
That's some extra cash.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Porn stars the show, the TV show was here.
Speaker 4 (33:54):
Yeah, okay, take it.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Be sad.
Speaker 6 (33:57):
I can't get rid of the Blueynome. He's been everywhere.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Do you want to be backscratching?
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Do you want to?
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Okay, let's try Okay, let's try that.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
After the show.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
We'll see even get that's a good idea, Todd.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
That's a good idea to.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
And so so Corey you're going to bust.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Wait, well I got us here?
Speaker 3 (34:19):
What else have you got what I think? What I think?
Speaker 4 (34:21):
What do you mean matter the talent.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
That spent all the money for us, I've been driving
us around.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
I don't have any talents. All the money gone. My
talent's done.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Coming because clearly, just like any people that are abandoned
in a lift or without toilet paper, will.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
Turn you got an idea thirty one O sixty five.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Kid Now with Correos the podcast.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
So last night we finally got to see the Backstreet Boys.
We've been talking about it for so long.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
We went there. He's just a bit of the audio.
It was amazing.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
But I did have a slightly different experience to you
two during the show. And I'll tell you under the
guys of the Naughty six forty, it's.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
A Naughty six forty listener discretion advised.
Speaker 6 (35:17):
Not suitable for work or in the car with the kids.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
Yes, if kids are in the car, I will dance
around it as much as possible.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
But there, what did you do?
Speaker 3 (35:28):
There were things?
Speaker 5 (35:30):
There's things that you're allowed to do in Vegas that
you're not allowed to do back home. The things you're
allowed to do a lot of parts of America you're
not allowed to do back home. And one of those
is they have a lot of dispensaries here where you
can go and get things like gummies, which I decided
to have a crack at before the show because I
knew we're seeing the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere, and
(35:50):
the Sphere is just this full on experience.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
It's not just the band in front of you.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
There's an entire screen which goes all the way to
the s and then over your head.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
It's all animated.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Imagine the old Imax. Some times it by a thousand exactly,
surrounding you three quarters of the way around.
Speaker 6 (36:08):
So you with your.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Little dispensary item, yes, had a completely different experience to us.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
It was what a three D two one?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
It was three D.
Speaker 5 (36:17):
There were times when we were on a giant spaceship
flying through space, and there are a couple of times
that I said to.
Speaker 18 (36:24):
Cory, I think we're going to crash. It freaked out,
it fell over. There was so much going on.
Speaker 6 (36:37):
So let me explain the way we were seated. So
Corey was.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
On one side of Kip and I was on the other,
and all these graphics depending on the song were changing
a lot and lots of multiple colors and flashing lights. Anyway,
there was this one moment where we went down into
a cave system and it really did feel like a
roller coaster and keeps going to me, I don't think
we're gonnagine.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
It was like an intense experience. It was amazing, but
it was intense.
Speaker 7 (37:07):
The funniest part for me was there was like that
they had like you know how they put all the
boys singly on these like big glass tadles that was
like a high rise billing that was building all around
us dancing, and then it shattered, yes, and then it
felt like they would hit you, and I remember grabbed
me goes, I was going to hit you.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
My take on that Kip had just seen a visual
for him losing.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
I think it was a very I think I mean
because I am not experienced with what I got the dispensary,
so I didn't know how much I reckon.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
I might have had just a little bit too much,
but I I was still on the level of enjoying.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
I didn't get too far experience. It was great and
it was awesome.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
And I said to Helen, you know who was one
of the listeners we brought along.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
I said to her after the shows That wasn't it
amazing how even the floor moved.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
And she goes didn't move.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Okay, that was just.
Speaker 6 (38:06):
So are you going to do it again?
Speaker 5 (38:08):
I'm definitely not at home because it's not legal there,
but we're here for that another five more days, so
let's just think.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
I don't want to waste the fact.
Speaker 6 (38:15):
Of course you don't rowing here now with Correos.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
The podcast, teachers are striking first time in sixteen years.
Speaker 6 (38:27):
It's all over pay.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
We were talking to our boss Ali, whose brother is
a teacher in New South Wales and they get like
over one hundred k pay, right, which I don't think
Queensland teachers get. No, I'm just saying I don't know
that for sure, but it is over pay deal. So
to take thirty eight thousand of them out for one day,
they must be pretty mad.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
And so the rule at the moment they're saying is
if you need to drop off your kids to school,
they will be cared for, but they're not going to
be learning tomorrow. And they have asked that if possible,
that you keep your kids at home or try and
give them some top of something to do.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Okay, so I know what my god children are doing.
I know what my neighbor's kids are doing, and I
know what my best friend's children are doing tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
I do why you so, No, I'm not.
Speaker 6 (39:10):
I just care that my friends are sorted. So I
ask you to.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
As fathers of two school age children, what are happening
to Raffi in prep and Monty in grade one?
Speaker 3 (39:23):
You answer, I'm teaving.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
You got me on that one. Look, I'm going to
say that she will.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Be probably.
Speaker 6 (39:33):
You genuinely don't know, but.
Speaker 4 (39:37):
Whatever she's doing, she'll be having a great time doing it.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
Okay, kip, here you go, kid, I'm still the old respondo.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
So I just know that, you know, I just just knowing.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Well, yeah, I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
It's a lot though, I mean, and you know, obviously
we want to support our teachers, but you know, people
are taking days off. So if you need to get
the kids out of the house tomorrow, We've got some cool.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Things, Yeah we do.
Speaker 5 (40:06):
We've got fun lab, We've got Crumb and Wildlife Centuary.
Go dag with dog guy. Yeah, so yes, tell us
what your plan is at the moment. Let's see if
we can upgrade it.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, you need our help. Thirteen one oh six five. Specifically,
I mean I think these would be.
Speaker 6 (40:21):
Good for tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Yes, yeah, perfect for tomorrow.
Speaker 6 (40:24):
And neither of you two can win.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
We know what, we don't need it because I don't organize.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
Everything's done for you don't know nothing.
Speaker 5 (40:34):
Thirty six fives out, Nun votes Robin and Kip Robin.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Now with Coryos the podcast.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
Big Day tomorrow for a lot of parents, and I
guess for kids there's a bit of a I mean
the kids, they don't care that the teachers are on strike.
Speaker 6 (40:51):
Well you know what it does mean.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
It's like holiday this Wednesday and a holiday next Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
For the Echo Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Yes, so maybe Wednesdays just become a voluntary thing.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Wouldn't that be nice for everyone?
Speaker 1 (41:02):
No, we we were asking or I was asking you
to what is happening at your house tomorrow?
Speaker 6 (41:08):
And Jack Corey, You've had a little bit of a
text exchange with your six year old.
Speaker 7 (41:12):
So I got a message saying mom is taking the
day off. She already told you, and I went, you're
taking the day off, and then he goes mom as
in my mum Tigan.
Speaker 4 (41:23):
I realized text to me and I said, ha, ha,
thank you.
Speaker 5 (41:27):
Yes, I know, she goes you're a goose to your goose.
Now hang on in your defense, is she's texting from
Teagan's phone?

out of the house?
Speaker 15 (42:47):
Well, tomorrow, I'm a teacher actually, so I'm striking, but
I will have my kids with me, so I want
to take them along to this.
Speaker 17 (42:57):
Rally.
Speaker 15 (42:58):
So to give them something fun to do on top
of that would be nice.
Speaker 5 (43:02):
I hadn't thought about that because there's thousands striking and
of course plenty of most kids.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
So you've got to you've got a double problem tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Oh wow, how old are your kids?
Speaker 15 (43:16):
I've got eight and five?
Speaker 3 (43:18):
Okay, okay, so who you and you're landing on grandparents tomorrow?
What's going to happen?
Speaker 16 (43:23):
I think a.
Speaker 15 (43:24):
Little bit of fellow teachers and neighbors and lots of
people to help.
Speaker 6 (43:29):
I think, yeah, okay, mate, that's tough. Yeah, can I
just does this is over money, right, over.
Speaker 15 (43:36):
Money, but also conditions as well. So just trying to
get rid of a lot of the red tape that
has seen a new thing that's just come on board
the last ten years. I'd say, let's just add to
workload and pressure and yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
Well we think our teachers are amazing, and so how
about we give you one hundred and fifty dollars fun
lab voucher.
Speaker 15 (43:57):
Oh that would be amazing, Thank you so much.

hidings hotels where fun checks in and boredom checks out.
You can book down but one hundred and fifty bucks
to spend there for you.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
Thank you so much and good luck tomorrow mate, you
get what you want, yes, thank you.
Speaker 5 (44:16):
You have to think like it's pretty much it's bringing
Brisbane to a standstill, Like surely surely they're going to
make changes on the back of that, and haven't.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
Haven't. It's not like they strike all the time. It's
been over fifteen years, I know.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
I mean, the thing is that I'm sitting and I
don't know anything about what's going on.
Speaker 6 (44:29):
That's why I asked Natalie what was actually happening. But
it is.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
I know it's irritating for parents, but man, our teachers
are such good humans and they do an amazing job.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
I know, and they're not allowed to smack the kids,
which makes it hard.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
You know, it's so hard for them.
Speaker 6 (44:48):
Look is that where you go?
Speaker 13 (44:50):
Like, I just think they if it can't smack the kids,
then at least let them pay this.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
You know, let's say, let's find a million dollar sub. Okay,
you just keep rolling that FOKA
